We have a pool (about 35 yrs old) we would like to fill in.
The dimensions of the pool are 16 x 32 and patio stones are used as a walkway/deck around the pool. The deep end of the pool is supported by a retaining wall so we would require removal of this wall and the backyard graded so that there is a gradual downward slope, vs. a more naturally aggressive slope.
Also, there is a school yard behind our house which may be helpful for easy access to the backyard.
thank you
I am looking to replace my front outdoor steps. Currently my steps are tiles. I might go with stone for new steps. I have added pictures of current steps if that helps.
Can you look at my project and give me your inputs on the quote, time, materials, etc. Let me know if you need anything from me.
I am the property owner of the house.
Please contact me via email and we can discuss further.
Thanks,
Nilesh.
I'm looking to replace an old railroad tie retaining wall. It is approximately 23" tall and 75' long. It runs along the side of my home. I would prefer a lower cost approach, pressure treated wood, etc. but am open to other options.
The old wall is rotting. It needs to be removed.
There is interlock stone along the side for about 40' that will need to be reset once the project is completed.
I am the property owner and would like to begin as soon as possible.
walk down basement with concrete stairs (no replacement of stairs) but want to replace cinderblock on both sides of walkway into basement entry. Want to create weaping tile - to tie into the existing floor drain at bottom of exterior stairs and put in new retaining walls on each side of stairs
Half of my garage roof is sagging and almost start coming dawn and it's leaking too so I'm thinking to replace the damaged half but other half look fine.
Also I want to replace the garage door tracking because the door get out of the track.
Also I have some retaining wall at my back yard start falling dawn I want to fix it.Wall around 10' length.
I need estimation for all of this work.
We are looking to tear down exisiting concrete retaining wall along driveway and widen to put in new retaining wall, driveway, stairs and porch.
I have attached a few pictures of the styles of retaining wall we like, but are open to suggestions. We would require a face to face consulation at our house before bid as ideas/suggestions/drawings would be necessary for hire. Looking to do in early spring.

5) grade the house per grading plan
6) driveway gravel and asphalt and culvert cut
Looking for online estimates only on the following two jobs:
1) My backyard backs off on to a creek. There is a drop of approx. 9 ft to the creek and is 35 feet wide. I need a retaining wall as there is some erosion at the centre of the backyard edge. The previous owner dumped some wooden skids and concrete blocks to try and fill the erosion which needs to be removed. The backyard's linear edge needs to be restored and may require some soil filling. My personal preference is for the type of retaining walls that you see in local trails maintained by Parks & Rec dept of the City of Mississauga. The kind that has river stones contained by a wire mesh. I would also like a small access by stairs to the creek through a corner of this retaining wall.
2) Remove existing sod, add top soil, fertilizer and replace with new sod. Approx. area 1700 sq. ft.
I am looking for separate written estimates and approximate time each job would require. Site visit can be arranged upon shortlisting of contractors.
We are looking for quotes on having several retaining walls built and/or replaced.
The first wall is approx. 6ft high by 180ft long and we are looking to construct using Precast Concrete Block. There is an existing wood retaining wall that is rotting and needs to be removed.
The second wall is going to be approx. 4ft high by 64ft long and is not replacing an existing retaining wall - this will also be built using precast concrete block.
The third wall has a current retaining wall that we are also looking to extend - precast concrete block (segmental retaining wall) approx. 4ft by 30ft and 2ft by 20". The existing wall is also of wood construction.
The fourth wall is a replacement of an existing wood retaining wall running along a parking lot approx. 2ft by 180ft. precast concrete block (segmental retaining wall).
If you are interested in this project please contact me for an onsite visit to asses the current walls if you would like. We are looking for quotes on this job ASAP as we are moving forward with this project this summer.
Thank you,
Sean
Our co-op is looking for THREE QUOTES (this is the practise in ALL contracted projects) - there is a small front yard that is being held up on three sides by large wooden beams stacked and laying on their sides -wood has rotten and has carpenter ants, so all the wood needs to be replaced and safety used to make sure that the small grassy yard does not slide down into the driveway on either side (elderly lives on one side and young children on the other).
This project is of an URGENT nature, so we need THREE QUOTES A. S. A. P.!!!!!!!!!!!
*******This has been brought to our MAINTENANCE dept. and now I have to WAIT to see if THEY are gonna "take on the project" before I can proceed*****

We have 3 specific projects that need to be completed to our office. So modifications to the outside of our building, landscaping around our building, and 2 double glass doors installed inside our office building. See descriptions below.
First off we are looking to add a special look to the front of our office. We would like to wrap the pillars that are around our office with some sort of plastic or metal that would give it an aluminum/metal/steel look . We are still in the planning stages of what we would do, but we would like input from a contractor as to what can be done with what type of material. We have a good idea of what we need but I am unable to explain it. We have 9 of these concrete pillars around the building and there are 2 beside the entrance, and above the entrance we would like to extend this grey/silver material as a background for a sign.
Next we need some landscaping done. A new stone walkway, levelling the ground, and laying new sod down.
And the last job is the glass doors. We are looking to have 2 double glass doors installed in our offices, one doorway leads into our boardroom and the other leads into a wing of offices. On top of this we will require 2 panes of glass. The doors are most important and they need to be attractive and professional as they lead into our executive boardroom.
Please get in touch with me to schedule an onsite estimate.
We have reoccurring sink holes on the side of our 15 year old house. The builder came in once to fill the holes, and when that failed, they came a second time to connect a main water pipe that led from the house, but that was not connected to the main water pipe leading to the street. The excavated the front lawn and driveway to ensure this was fixed however we have ongoing issues with this and the builder has refused to come back given the age of the home.
At present our backyar looks quite unkept . Looking forward for its makeover.

We are looking to expand our walkway. It is currently a circular interlocking pattern and we would like to add another semi circle to it to widen the area we can walk on from the driveway which would connect to the current walkway up to the house.
