We need a turnkey proposal to build on top of this garage. It is attached to the house, and the master bedroom and is considered a 1.5 Garage. Inside, we are looking to split the current master bedroom through the middle and make a 2nd master with ensuite. Need quotes for plumbing/HVAC/electrical. Would like to get quote for permits/architectural as well.
Serious replies only, this is an investment project.
I have an existing sump put with a 1hp sump pump installed in it. I would like to do the following:
1) Add a second pit
2) Install into the second pit a combo pump with battery backup unit (looking at the Liberty 442 1/2HP Combo Backup System)
3) Run a new drain line outside (this will require breaking concrete walkway on side of house and repairing.
Recently water started to come from under the tub while shower is running. It does not leak when shower is closed. It is hard to tell whether water is coming from the tub drain or from the shower itself.
Need to have this leak fixed
- Remove wall where shower is installed as it is already damaged and covered in mold
- Fix shower if there is a plumbing problem
- Otherwise remove tab and fix drain problem
- Place wall and tab back
- Put tiles
I have a small roughed in space in the basement for bathroom. The room is 4'-11" by 5'-8". I would like to know if I can squeeze in a small shower in addition to the toilet and sink. In anycase the rough in will have to me moved and pollibly. I would like an on site visit to estimate. This is a town house of about 30 years old. This is the last area in the basement to finish.
Concrete sink that is used for drainage from Laundry machine is chronically clogged to the point that Laundry wash water is oveflowing onto basement floor causing unnecessary leaking, etc.
The Concrete sink is also partially cracked adding to the issue. Concrete sink is currently pictured below.
Property is a Rental Property in a residential townhouse complex in North Mississauga. The Property is currently tenanted.
Property was built in early 1970's, Row House / Town House style dwelling.
There are three water shut-off valves, which are in the basement, that I would like to relocate into another area of the basement.
I would like the shut off valves to continue to service the appropriate piping without affecting the water pressure or distribution in the home.
Here are the three valves that need to be relocated:
- valve one is to the backyard water tap (relocate approximately 33' from current position);
- valve two is to the kitchen water tap (relocate approximately 30' from current position); and,
- valve three is to the laundry room (relocate approximately 15' from current position).
I'm going to finish our basement, but we need to have someone come in and rough-in a washroom for us. This rough will obviously need to cut into the concrete floor and tie into the existing waste exhaust line.
We are also looking to install a small corner wet bar and will also need to have this area roughed-in for a sink and faucet. Homestars references would be welcomed.
Thanks.
Home repair problems include the following:
- leaky dishwasher and fridge in kitchen: lots of water on the kitchen floor - appliances are 8 years old
- main floor toilet tank does not fill up with water after flushing; the water constantly run from the tank to the bowl
- when the heat is on there is a loud mechanical cranking sound, I was told this may be an issue with the circulation pump
- The switch on the thermostat no longer controls the AC operation. The main breaker is currently used to turn the central air on and off since the temperature cannot be controlled using the thermostat

I have fairly small project in Mississauga:
- Install 3 receptacles underneath of switches
- Install 1 receptacle at entrance (has to be powered from garage)
- Install in-wall media box and run 120v from nearest receptacle (fairly easy) and 24VDC to the lights (a little bit more complicated)
- Change water cartridge for the bathtub.

Gennady
1. Clear Drain from 2nd floor standing shower floor.
2. Water leaking to level below in family room when shower is used. (Last year another plumber applied slilicon seal to repair but the water is starting to leak again despite the silicon seal still being in good shape)
3. Change 3 faucets.
I have a Delta faucet that probably needs replacing, it is about 7 years old. The problem I'm having is it has become loose in the hole it sits in. I have a granite counter top with an under mount sink. The faucet is a single hole one that has no plate or taps. So I assume it has to be a similar one. I have tried to caulk around where it sits in the hole but it still moves around... See picture. Option #2, if it can be repaired so it is like it originally was, that is fine, however I don't want this happening again...
I don't want to pay and arm and a leg for this I just want a good reliable replacement that will not end up moving around all over the place like this one and to see my choices...
I don't have time to go around looking for a faucet so would like price on supply and install. Prefer a licensed insured plumber and honesty on the choice of faucet.
See pictures.
Recently I started to hear loud banging noises in water pipes when toilet is flushed. Also, out shower water pressure regulator seems to stop working.
Need to replace / install hydraulic shock absorber and shower water pressure regulator.
Also, need to move shower switch as it was installed too close to shower spout. This will require replacement of two ceramic tiles.
Looking to have a water line to my fridge installed. We have a galley way kitchen and the fridge is on the opposite side of the sink. We also have a finished basement so drywall may need to be removed to get to a water pipe and then to the fridge. We are looking for someone who can install the line and connect it to our fridge and, if drywall does need to be cut out to install the line, replace the drywall and close up any holes.
Please let me know if interested and a date and time a quote for the job can be provided.
Thanks,
Paul
