Hello,
Looking to get a bid on the installation of a frosted or etched glass garage door on the front of my home. It is a single door on a double garage (approximately 17 feet wide). I currently have a door which is only 2 years old, hoping you can also assist with pointers on who can buy it. Expectation is that current door will be removed and taken away by a buyer or the contractor that installs new door. This is primarily an aesthetics project -- no complexities.
Email or phone call only, no text, phone is a landline.
Looking for a contractor to replace existing basement windows to comply with legal basement apartment requirements (for egress window (1x) and amount of natural light (3x)).
All existing and new window openings will need cutting into brick and/or concrete and will need to be structurally reinforced (lintels and supports) to meet building code and pass inspections.
Basement window Installation needed.
1 window Egress (55" x 15") max opening
1 window Standard (47" x 12")
Included approx. price for windows and labour.
Window wells not needed.
Professional Installers Only Apply as the work will be Inspected and Needs to be Approved.
My house was built in 1976, and the basement windows were built without lintels. The basement is poured concrete. I am looking for a contractor to install the lintels. There are four windows, all below grade. The basement inside is finished. The windows have good access from the outside, with window wells.
We need the master bathroom and the powder room renovated, plus 5 windows replaced (3 basement, 2 bedroom), a brick walkway raised about 4 inches, and some other minor work done. We recognize that window installers may not do bathrooms and vice versa, so the work may be split into logical parts if needed.
My house is 25 years old it has the original wood framed bay windows, one panel cranck onpens. The wood on the bottom side of this window panel has rotted over time. I think that entire panel needs replacing. I don't want to replace the entire Bay Window, the house is for Sale, and the cost would be prohibitive. Do you have Service professionals that can do this type of work ? Many thanks.
We are looking for someone to replace our current vinyl siding with board and batten (wood). We would like the quote to include replacing of soffits and fascia as well as eaves troughs. We would like to find someone that works with board and batten and can show us homes that they have worked on vs pictures. We would like to also have windows replaced in our home (all upstairs), we are open to using the same company or someone different. We would like to get this project under way as soon as possible. Please email me and I will set up appointments with those that I feel are qualified (please send me pictures of your work on board and batten) for next week.
I have some stainless steel supports that were installed onto my granite counter. I need a piece of glass roughly 12" x 80" x 3/4" with beveled edges and frosted installed onto them. either screwed through the top or some other way. The supports were not manufactured perfectly and it was not found out until after they were installed.
We are renovating our house and have three interior doors that need to be replaced.
Originally we were going to tackle this ourselves...but turns out that it is a bigger project than anticipated. The plan was to upgrade the door and trim, but upon removal of the trim we noticed that the jambs all came off in one piece.
So right now we have three doorways ripped down to the studs.
We have purchased the doors (30"x2 and 24"x1).click here are solid wood doors that need the hardware (hinges, handles, etc) to be installed. They are not pre-hung. So the doorways would need the jambs and trim installed...we can purchase these items as well.
We are looking to get quotes for the labour and for someone to complete this very soon as this is holding up our hardwood install.
Thank you.
We have cold air coming in from under the drywall in several places through out our main floor condo, cold air in a few places in behind drywall walls and in a few places where the 2 outside walls meet in the corners
All 8 windows have a lot of cold air leaking through as well as the 5ft patio door
Looking for some to fix and resolve the cold air issues i do have a real good thermos imaging camera on hand
Tim
The project entails the following scope of work
- relocate existing interior door/window unit from West to South wall of office
- replace/repair West wall where unit was removed from
- repaint affected areas ( neutral white paint as existing )
- patch carpet where door was removed from ( carpet available )
There are no electrical or network relocates required.
Contractor must be fully bonded and ensured with proof of WSIB.
We are looking for a detailed/reliable contractor with experience in removing old builder sliding doors from our kitchen and installing new garden doors that we will be purchasing shortly from a door supplier.
When provide your estimate, please consider the following:
- contractor must remove and dispose of existing kitchen sliding doors.
- contractor must ensure that little to no damage is caused during this removal.
- contractor must install new garden doors.
- contractor must ensure that proper insulation is added back when installing the new garden doors.
- contractor must ensure that matching caulking is applied to the exterior of the garden doors.
- contractor must ensure that all trim is replaced back to normal specifications and that any paint touch ups must be performed.
- contractor must paint garden doors to owners colour specification (as doors don't come painted).
- contractor must upon completion ensure that work area is cleaned up after.
- contractor must have a limited warranty on their installation of the garden doors and services.
The reason why are looking for a qualified/reliable contractor is that the door company that we will be purchasing our patio doors from would be charging almost more than the actual costs of our garden doors.
At this time we are looking for rough estimates. From there we will then contact you for a live inspection and formal quote.
We are good people who are very detail oriented...therefore we are looking for a contractor who is experienced, honest and detailed oriented. Others need not respond :)
Thanks for the time in looking through this project request!
Currently I have two ancient 30 by 12 typical basement windows. I am looking to renovate my basement to include a bedroom and therefore would require bigger windows with a means of escape (egress).
My windows are steel encased, not brick to brick so I would need someone to cut the new window hole and also install a lintel and the windows.
I am looking to create an opening that would fit a 30 by 30 Double Slider Lift Open window.
Looking for someone to come cut a window in the concrete basement foundation, and cut an existing window into a door and dig a basement entrance with stairs for a legal second unit. Please respond to the post and I will provide you with my number/email to contact me.
* Note, we have had drawings created and submitted to the city to obtain a permit for a second unit construction. Permit is likely to be approved within the next two weeks*
We forgot to opt for the door from house to garage. there is a frame under the drywall and I know where it is located but basically this project requires cutting the dry wall and removing the frame and then installing a door. It's a fairly simple project. Please advise.
I would like 2 quotes:
1. Labour only
2. Door + labour
Thank you.
We require a door to be installed between the walls as displayed in the image below. The door might require the drywall to be extended if a diagonal door installation is not possible. The diagonal door's dimensions will be approximately 277 cm in height and 125 cm in width (the height assumes that the door covers the space from the ground to the floor completely). In the event that the drywall is extended the door's width changes to 113 cm.
Will be moving in approximately 2 months to Brampton (December 11th), just off main street. Would like the following completed soon after moving in. Paint exterior shutters. Replace existing door with a solid wood door and a door surround. Portions of the exterior banister has rotted and needs replacing. New paint in living room, dining room (two large mirrors adhered to wall need to be removed), and entertainment room. Some parts may need small holes filled. Pots lights installed in rooms listed above. Finish 3rd floor loft/attic including insultation, flooring, knees walls, dry walls etc. Preference is for one company to be able to do all. Preference is also for work to be done as quickly as possible... preferably before the beginning of the new year as I will be hosting an event in January.
I would like to enlarge one and possibly two basement windows to meet building code egress window size requirements. Current window size is 32" x 18".
It is important that you are familiar with the Mississauga building code, have extensive experience doing cut-outs and also have liability insurance.
Thank you.
We need an exterior side door that would be build into our laundry room, currently the laundry room has a window, like to use that frame and build around it.
