Two things need to be installed in separate rooms: 1) A new ceiling fan & light unit with control wall switch in a bedroom, 2) A new dimmer switch in a dining room, however the one we have is too big for the box there now, so a new box is needed. Likely involves cutting out of wall to make room.
Shoukdn’t take more than a couple of hours.
Thank you.
Kitchen Renovation
Carolyn
Home: 25yrs.
Kitchen tear out is Monday Sept 10. Hard Wood flooring goes in Tuesday Sept 11. ...job continues Wednesday Sept 12 for electrical. Will provide cabinet company information for measurements once hired.
Kitchen occupies 3 walls. Stove side, sink side, fridge side.
Fridge Wall
moving fridge approx 4 ft to right which would cover a regular outlet.
left of fridge will need an outlet for microwave (raised on a shelf) and below microwave there will be a small counter where I need a regular outlet. Place this outlet 2 inches above counter horizontally.
Stove wall
Opposite wall there is one wall outlet left of stove. I want one on both sides, and also want them moved horizonatal about 2 inches above the quartz counters.
New cabinetry will have lights in upper cabinets on stove side of kitchen. Cabinet company supplies lights and transformer that will need to be plugged in somewhere. A dimmer for that will be included but no idea where it will need to go.
Sink Side:
Left of sink there is an outlet with a light switch (for lights above sink). Want it lowered and replaced using dimmer switch.
Dishwasher is currently left of sink, and is moving approx 6 feet right of sink.
Dining area: Replace all outlets to match the new ones (3?), and set of 3 light switches. 1 works the kitchen ceiling lights, one works the dinette light, one works the outside deck light. Want the inside dinette light on a dimmer. Others stay the same.
All switches in grey.
Definite portion of project:
1) Move a light fixture about 1-2 feet in dining room
2) Add a light fixture to master bedroom with new switch (attic access)
3) Add light fixture to upstairs hallway (same switch, its a 3way)
Optional:
1) Convert one light fixture in dining area to pot lights if possible
All work requires stucco repair once completed to make it look like it never happened.
Can you please give me an estimate.
Also, when would you be available? I'm hoping to get this done before June 10 as the gas guy is coming to install the heater.
I live in Nepean (Baseline and Greenbank area). I need to wire a pool pump and heater. The pump is a 1/2 hp Pentair (220 volt, 4.5 A). The heater is a Jandy Legacy 250,000 Btu electronic (220 v, 5 A). However, I'm thinking perhaps to install a heavier supply to possibly power a larger variable speed pump in the future (220 v, 16 A). Can you indicate how much extra it would cost for that, as an option.
The connection and routing would be approximately as follows, but I'm not sure of the type of connection to make outdoors near the equipment. I'm thinking of installing a double 220v outdoor receptacle and running 220v extension cords to the pump and heater. Would that work?
Install 220v GFCI?? breaker in panel (space available)

7ft across garage attic
9 ft of conduit down garage wall
Drill through exterior garage wall (brick)
Conduit? 12 ft of underground (I will dig it before hand)
5 ft of conduit up on fence post
Install 220 outdoor receptacle?
12 ft extension to pump
10 ft extension to heater
Supplies:
Total wire (220 v) approx 100 ft. No. 14 or 12?)
Total conduit approx. 50 ft. (1/2 or 3/4?)
GFCI? breaker
Indoor (garage) power switch
220 v timer
Outdoor receptacle box
2- 220 v receptacles
2- 220 v. extension cords
Les
Am considering purchasing a new electric range with microwave/fan hood. Old fan hood is connected directly through wires, while new microwave/fan hood needs a plug (currently no plug in upper cabinet). The microwave/fan hood is a model that has the same dimensions as a regular fan hood (seeclick here ). Width: 30" (76.2 cm)Height: 10.25" (26.0 cm)Depth: 18" (45.7 cm). The new stove requires no special work (the store will replace the old stove and take it away).
