I want to change the design of the existing wooden deck which is approx 15 years old. So the demolishing of the old deck and the installation of the new one would be required. The deck is approx 18 x 18 feet. Also, if it's possible, I would like to make it lower to leave the small basement window above the deck.
We are looking to have a deck designed and built (if in the budget) for our backyard. The house is 7 years old. There is no exisiting deck. We would like one to be build around a 15' above ground pool with steps leading up to the pool. We would also like a trellus built over the main area where the table and chairs will go. Also, there is a tree we would like the deck to be built around with a bench around it.

older A frame house with front pourch and a deck on second floor above.
Would like to enclose the front under the A frame but still let in a lot of light. This does not have to be insulated. measures about 18 ft long by 6.5 ft wide
main purpose is to give a little extra living space and to prevent the wind from coming through the house
Our house has a walk out basement, therefore the deck will be off the kitchen, we alreay have a deck but it is just a small one, We want to build a bigger one around 16ft x 10ft., pressure treated with wrought iron picketts and a privacy screen. Our house is located in a new subdivision in Newmarket, about 2 1/2 years old. Lot size is about 85 ft x 45 ft. We would like to have a quote and we also would like to have this built this spring or summer.

RE: Install jack posts on verandah as a temporary measure
I am in Newmarket.
I have a wrap around verandah (100+ yr old house);
The verandah will be completely rebuilt in the spring/summer, however, the rot is very concerning to me and I would like to install jack posts and support lumber on verandah/roof as a temporary measure... asap

This is a small new Townhouse being constructed in Newmarket. It is 18' wide at the rear, outside measurements.
I'm looking to build a rear yard deck approximately 12' wide X 12' deep. Open for suggestions as to size. The walkout from the patio door is approximately 2 &1'2 above ground level. While I have been sketching a design I am looking for ideas.
I would prefer the flooring to be acomposite material but may not be able to afford it.
We like the idea of having a seat with a back built around part of the deck at the south end next to the adjoining fence and at the end of the deck closest to the rear fence.
The rear yard is 18' deep by 40' wide at the rear and tapering down to approximately 28' at the rear of the house. The yard is tol be fenced in by the builder and will have a gate to enter the backyard just north of the north wall of the house.
If you have an interest are are willing to supply an estimate.
We expect to take possession of the house July 12/12 so this would be the earliest any construction could begin.
Hi there! I have a front porch enclosure that seems to be shifting every winter. Something's going on under there and I'm not sure what! I know it needs stabilizing and repairs. I've only owned it for a year and unfortunately I do not know what's under it...
Thank you so much!
We have a front porch (6x9) covered in bricks that match our 1960 style bungalow. After decades of moisture the bricks have broken down and are crumbled. We are looking for a solution that will compliment our home and agree with our budget. We have looked at siding / flag stone (too much of style change)/ re-brick (original brick colour not available).
Looking to build a deck attached to house. Simple rectangular shape. Brown pressure treated wood, wood railing with black aluminum pickets.. I've attached a lowes deck builder design PDF to make everything 100% clear.
Basement is unfinished so ledger board attachment should not be difficult.
Approximately 23 feet wide x 12 feet out of pure deck space, 4 x 4 foot platform on the left side with a flight of stairs down to the grass. It will be 8 feet off the ground. Approximately 275-300 sq feet.
I am the home owner. Quality and price are important!
I know it is the long weekend coming up but just found out that I am having a large gravel delivery tomorrow for a patio that a friend has not been able to prepare for me yet. Is there anyone that has availability to dig an area of 150 sq. ft. in order to prep for a patio ASAP? (I realise it is a long shot but thought I would try)
