I am considering putting a stacking washer and dryer in the bathroom. A dry-walled wall would have to be cut so the w/d could be inset. Behind this wall is the furnace room. Plumbing would have to be done as the water supply is about 2 feet away but it is located in the furnace room so the flooring would not have to be cut. The dryer would have to be vented to the outside.
Hi,
My laundry, located in the basement, is just under the stairs, where the furnace is. So the area is not large. I have an old sink, washer, dryer, furnace and unused stuff lke luggages, boxes, shoes etc. The tiling, the paint on the walls is old and not neat. There is a rack which holds tools box. I want to buy a new pair of washer and dryer, but before doing this, I am looking to have the room cleaned up and organized. I want a new sink to be installed, walls to be painted, ceiling and lighting to be organized, tiling to be redone, racks to be mounted etc..
I want to receive offers from registered/certified renovators.
Thanks.
I’ve applied for a March of Dimes and Toronto Renovates grants for home modifications.
The home modifications include a wheel chair lift, a bathroom renovation and a bedroom area renovation.
We are hoping that with both grants my parents will have little or nothing to pay over and above the grants because they are both low income $19k/year.
For Toronto Renovates we need two quotes by contractors with Municiplal Building Trades License Numbers.
Does your organization have Municiplal Building Trades License Numbers and when could we the estimates.
Please let me know, as soon as possible.
Thanks
Teresa
I live in a condo I just bought-the condo is 21 years old; I have a small shower stall in my master bathroom and I would like to enlarge it so it covers all the wall. Along with this job I would like to modernize the pipes and change the wall and floor tiling. I would like to install a frameless shower door too. What is important to me is not cutting corners while keeping the level of work at a high level while also spending what is right and not overpriced. It is impoirtant for me that you keep your word, come to work on time and give me sugestions.
Thank you
P.S-I live in North York
hello ,
I have 2 projects in 2 bedroom condo located jane wilson
project 1- Remove existing laundry dryer + kitchen range hood + 2 washrooms duct vents above dry wall ceiling leading to balcony and install with new ducts in same area . Replace kitchen range hood with new range hood
Project 2- Need to remove existing bathtub , and existing tiles , 100 sq feet
Replace existing wood panels at back if needed , replace existing dry wall with cement board backer , install new bath tub and surround bath wall panels . with new plumbing .
I have purchased the cement board , bath tub and wall panels .
When we turn the shower on, the water is leaking through the opening at the bottom of the glass door. The water is then seeping into the tiles beneath and into the wall and door frame around it. One contractor said he would have to remove the bottom threshold and build a lower one. He also recommended getting a new frameless glass door for the shower. Can you give a price quote?

This is a 25 year old townhouse. The bathroom has suffered long term water damage around the bathtub area, and recently the ceiling of the room below has begun to show leaks. It's time to rip the entire bathroom out and put in a new one.
I'm unsure how the water damage will affect the renovation. There is some rotting of the dry wall around the bathtub.
We are looking for someone to replace a shower/tub at Don Mills and Steeles by the end of the year. We have a tenant away right now and are looking to get it done before she returns in the new year. We do not want to renovate the entire bathroom until after their tenancy but the shower needs to be done.
For quote purposes, please use budget materials as long as they are effective. Sorry for the blurry photos. Standard tub/instert size.
Many thanks,
Alan
