Wishing to have a quote to replace cabinets, countertop, sink, backsplash and flooring in a smaller kitchen in our townhouse. Not looking for anything fancy, just standard laminate countertop, etc. Can't afford alot but looking to just have items updated. Rough estimate of length of kitchen is 15 feet and width would estimate at about 10 feet.
We are looking to get a new kitchen installed and wondered if you could help. I am including a design board which should give you an idea of what we are after. I have also included some photos of the current kitchen with some basic (not exact) measurements, to give you an idea of scale.
A priority for us is creating more storage space. There is currently a cupboard to the right of the fridge, next to the cooker, which has a small door and which contains a lot of potential space, but which is currently extremely difficult to access. We think something creative could be done in that corner to give us more space.
Another idea we had was to pull the whole of the floating unit (the part of the kitchen bench which contains the sink), out into the living room by about one foot. This would create more space in the part of the unit underneath the red food mixer in our photo, with the four drawers. Perhaps with an extra foot to play with we could fit four full-width drawer units AND a half sized cupboard.
We would then also like to create a larger sink/bench unit - perhaps expanding from 91.44cm to about 1m, so that we could incorporate the dishwasher in that unit, the under-sink cupboard currently there PLUS two or three discreet storage units at the back of this unit (so the face of this floating unit that faces out into the living room).
Separate from that we are also lookng to replace countertops and backsplash - see the mood board attached for preferred materials.
There may also be work to replace flooring and base boards. We are the owners and current residents.
