I'm looking for help with painting the walls of a brand new home. This will include a large entry foyer (10'x15'), large living room (17'x22'), dining space (11'x13'), large bedroom (14'x18'), and 2.5 bathrooms. All spaces have many windows/archways. Trim does not need to be painted. The ceilings are 9' throughout and do not need painting either. There will be no furniture in the way, but the floors will need to be covered. A visit to the home is not possible before work is to start because it is still in construction and we don't have access to it either.
My husband wants the living room and front entrance ceiling (which is almost flat stuccoed) removed and simply painted since it's starting to separate a tiny bit from the ceiling here and there. That's because I think I might have gotten the ceiling too wet when I painted it 2 years ago. But I love the look! Would/could you put a new "stucco-type* (not thick) ceiling back up after u remove it? The walls are newly painted as well, and I did a much better job with them. :-)
Painting of the whole house including ceilings (should they need to be done upon a site visit). I will be purchasing and providing the paint and can provide other material such as rollers, tape, etc should it be necessary and/or an option to keep costs down. I have attached a virtual tour of the house that we have just purchased and take possession of October 12th. We are looking to have this painting project done as quickly as possible prior to our moving in by the end of the month.
The house is 11 years old and there is little to no patching required as far as I can tell, maybe a minor amount where pictures were hung. I believe the square footage is apx. 1600sq ft excluding the finished basement which we are also considering painting as well.
