Currently unfinished basement with walkout to backyard and with rough-in for bathroom. Would like to finish basement with bathroom (vanity, shower and toilet), utility room with enclosing the furnace and laundry area within. Balance of basement will just require framing, electrical, drywall and ceiling (with noise deadening insulation). Would also like to add a small wet bar area. Dri-core sub-flooing has already been installed.
Deck - from kitchen walk-out approx 12 x 17, with stairs from deck to backyard below.
The house is in a subdivision and is 10 years old. I want to remove the porcelin tub and the tiles on the wall. This is to be replaced with a 3 piece Mirolin tub/shower complete with new faucets. The existing toilet is to be replaced with a new toilet, The linolium floor is to be removed and replaced with ceramic tile. The exhaust fan is to be removed and replaced with a new exhaust fan complete with its own timer. The one sink vanity is to be removed and replaced with a 2 sink vanity. I would need 2 complete faucets installed,
Our home is brand new build. We moved in in May 07, we have been advised to wait a year for our basement to settle and dry completely. It is not a huge space with furnace and water heater in the roughed in 3pc bath which we also want to finish with a stand up shower and vanity and toilet. My concern is that the subpump is in the corner of the living which would need to be sound proof for viewing television. The living area is partially framed and insulated. We have family that can do some of the finishing but not all but they would be willing to pitch in and help if it decreases any costs.
