My husband and I are looking to renovate a completely unfinished basement. It would need framing, insulating, drywall and some electrical. It is approx 180-200 sq ft. It is a new home..1-2 years old..never been lived in(in a new townhouse complex)
Easy access to the basement through the backyard(there is a sliding door on ground level right into the room)
We have no preferred materials at this point(would need to discuss some options with the contractor) We would however like carpeting, not wood or laminate flooring
Thank you for your time
We have a brick bungalow with a walkout from the basement and are looking to have the laundry room converted into a bedroom, downstairs bathroom gutted and remodelled, and all of the downstairs remodelled (carpet replaced with tile or laminate, more lighting put in, bar remodelled, wall knocked out and opened up, etc.). The basement is roughly 800 square feet.
We are looking to get our third level redone (it is a back split). It is currently two rooms that we would like to convert into one big rec room. We need someone to come in and give us a quote on what we would like done. It involves pulling three exterior walls down and re-insulating, removing interior wall and putting in a support column, redoing the ceiling, installing pot lights, installing laminate floors, and electrical work as well. Thank you.
I have a basement that is totally unfinished that is about 1200 square feet. I am wanting to finish about half of it (550sq feet, and turn it into a rec room. I am planning to do the floors myself but need a contractor to do the framing, drywall, ceiling and electrical work. The house is about 20 years old and the house itself is in good condition.
21x12 foot deck was removed, would like a dig out to have walk out from the basement and a storage area, house is 2 feet above grade, new deck on top
Basement approx 20 x 30 feet floor dug out and new pour
Existing front porch dug out, approx 18 x 8 feet for laundry room-bathroom underneath
concrete foundation, house built in 1923
Need to renovate my newly acquired house
1) Basement full renovation
2) 3 bathroom/toilet - complete
3) New Electric sockets and switches and pot lights
4) Hookup washer/dryer
5) Drywall
6) Painting
7) Flooring

After remediation done on basement, the unit is no longer liveable: bedroom walls taken to foundation as another problem found...outside wall needs dug and reparged. Bedroom walls removed to foundation, bathroom toilet and tub left with only one bath wall left.
Other partial walls left in unit. New window needed, carpet, painting. New entrance door and frame to be installed.
Needs to be quoted on asap as unit needs to be up and running by June 1st hopefully.
I have a room in the back corner of my house in dire need of attention. I recently removed all the walls, floors, and false ceiling in order to begin renovation and found many problems. Water/moisture is accumulating in the corner of the room, so the first issue I need to address is how it is getting in. The foundation is cinderblock and appears to be in OK condition. Secondly, I had a family member come in to "help out" and he cut out a small portion of the cinderblock base of a load bearing wall to make a doorway... and that small section is starting to sag. Thirdly, to fix this, we have decided that we want to extend the family room which has a bar into this room by knocking out another wall, so the bar extension would fall into this project as well. If you feel you could help out and make it worth my time and money give me a call.
Installation of kitchen, laminate flooring, washer/dryer, range hood and vent to outside, new light fixtures, rewire for countertop plugs and for stove. Tear down utility room wall to open up space and removal of existing countertop and closet space. Remove existing water softener. Put up dry wall to enclose hot water tank and electrical panel and install door to access water tank. Relocate washer/dryer. Plumbing for washer/dryer. Installation of tiled or stand up shower in half bath. Move existing vanity in bathroom to create space for new shower. Install exhaust fan for bathroom. Install frame doorway and hang insulated door on stairway. Prime and paint new kitchen.
I bought a brand new house, lived in it for a year and am looking to finish the basement. The house is 1200 sq ft. I want to make a laundry room, another sitting room to watch tv and add some storage if possible. Also we are looking to sell my partners house and need some odd jobs done, like put the baseboards up, fix part of the fence, do some minor electrical work, get it ready to sell. Perfered email estimates only please
I'm looking for quality and appearance. Within a reasonable price..

Flooring in Cold room and storage room. Install 2nd toilet and wall sink. Install a kitchen bar in the living room. Need to install basement windows.
Need to cut concrete to install a door. Welding. Hot water pipe through wall.

Hello,
I am looking to get my finished basement (which was done to code and inspected by city in 2022/2023) converted to a legal secondary unit.
I will aim to get the drawings done soon from a design firm. Essentially, this is what I am envisioning to be done:
1. Create a separate entrance on the north side on the ground floor, where the powder room is.
2. Relocate the powder room next door beside the laundry room sink. The plumbing underneath should be accessible as it’s a 4ft crawl space underneath.
3. Adjust the stairs/landing to match the new entrance spot.
4. Add a small kitchen to the basement (hood/vent line)
5. Add a washer/dryer and its connection by the kitchen
6. Enlarge window in the bedroom as an egress with well
7. Create another window in the main living or kitchen area on the north or south wall (but may be a little challenging due to ductwork running on either end, and ceiling is already low)
8. Add fire rating/separation on all shared walls, ceilings, crawl space
9. Sprinkler addition to mechanical room
10. Other stuff as required for a legal unit, and as mentioned in the drawings
11. Upgrading panel to 200amp if needed to accommodate additional stove/fridge/dryer in the basement
12. Adding a second bedroom onto the West side (optional)
Attached below are the existing drawings of the home, which may help with visualizing.
Additionally, video of the basement:click here you be able to let me what it may cost approximately? Or better, if you’d like to come and take a look, that would be great as well.
Looking to get the work started in the next 3-4 weeks (pending building permit approval), and completed in another 4-8 weeks.
The basement in the house is unfinished. We would like to create a two bedroom basement apartment, which would, of course, include a kitchen, living room and bathroom. This unit is to be a legal basement apartment so we want someone who has experience obtaining all Oshawa permits and dealing with the City of Oshawa and getting their various approvals, etc. throughout the creation of the basement apartment.
Finish Basement in new house. House has walk-out basement approx 950 sq ft.
I would like to do this in 2 stages:
1st Stage
I would like to get the subfloor done and walls framed for 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom will need to be finished. The ceiling will need to be framed also for later finishing.
2nd Stage
Later this summer I would like to have everything finished (drywall, baseboards, paint etc.
Please quote for each stage above individually. Thank you.
Approx. 1600 sq ft
Unfinished basement requires electrical work, plumbing (already has rough-in for 3 piece bathroom), drywall, potlights, hardwood flooring.
The house is approx. 5 years old.
Layout preferred for basement: open concept, 1 room (exercise room), 1 storage room, 1 room to enclose furnace, 1 closet (extra storage room). All other areas to remain open (with coverings for posts/beams).
i would like to finish the basement and have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with steam shower, a wet bar and an entertainment area. approximate size of the basement is 1500 or less. for flooring i prefer to have laminate all over and slate tiles in the bathroom; i would like pot lights with dimmers; a built in entertainment centre with cabinetry and shelvings. for the wet bar i would like a space for a mini fridge, sink and wine shelves; granite countertop is preferred for the bar. i will buy the steam shower unit; just needs to be installed.
