Laura McD.
I believe that water is coming in around my chimney into my attic and causing this problem (cracked ceiling).
The house was built in the 50's.
The roof is fairly new and in good condition I have been told.
Not sure about the square footage because not sure if can just fix one area or need to do whole ceiling.
It is plaster right now - but does not necessarily have to stay that way.
I do not have a lot to spend on this but also do not want the ceiling to fall down.
I am looking at free estimates - thank you for your interest.

Your quote should include materials as well...
Thanks,
There is a leak in the master bedroom ceiling. Of my rental unit.
Need someone to investigate where the root cause is.
The master bedroom is on the second floor with a loft above it.
This has been an ongoing issue and I have had several companies go out and say they have fixed it or tell me it something not even close to the area.
Would need to take down the bedroom ceiling area to trace where the water is coming into the ceiling then locate that spot above in the loft and then look at the loft removing what is necessary to verify the source and provide recommendations on permanent fix.
Thanks
Mud, tape and paint a 12 x 24 foot basement ceiling. Corners where the ceiling meets the walls only need to be prepped for installation of 1/2 inch corner round (one short length of drywall has one inch gap from wall).
Paint will be supplied (2 paint and 1 primer ). All other materials will be supplied by contractor.
Please provide an all in quote. If visitation is required prior to quote, please indicate this in your response.
Thank you.
My home is approx 30 years old. I bought the house 3 years ago. The last owner was a sheet metal guy and installed a drop ceiling in the basement using 2' x 12' lengths of sheet metal instead of the standard 2' x 4' ceiling tiles. With that said, the main structure/frame is already there. My whole whole basement is approx 18' x 36'. The section of basement with the sheet metal tile is approx 18' x 18'. The rest of the basement is tiled proerly but are getting old and stained. I would like to have the entire basement redone in standars size drop ceiling tile, possibly a decorative tile, will have to look at samples. Currently there is a light fixture in the one room and a 4' x 2' fluorescent light fixture in the other two rooms. I would like all three light fixtures removed and several pot lights installed in each room. As mentioned, 2 of the 3 rooms are already done, just need new tile and pot lights installed and the third room has the main structure there.
