Square footage is approx. 550sq feet
We recently bought hardwood floor and need it installed in the living room and also the parlour/dining room. The square footage is a little less then 600. We currently have carpet in both rooms. We've seen lots of ads on kijiji charging $1 per sq foot or more. We are looking for someone who is reliable and priced good.
Recently did my kitchen and hall in hardwood, and loved it,,, had some left over, and started my back bedroom I am two rows short of completing this project, it was 3/4 X 31/2 almond oak, very close to gunstock oak, Please Let me know if anyone has some leftover hardwood would appreciate a call.
Need to freshen up rental property for sale. 2400 sq. foot 2 storey, 4 bedroom 1965 suburban home. Needs painting. top to toe, some wallpaper removal in hall and kitchen, tear up wall to wall carpet in living room and stairs to refinish oak floors. Tear off linoleum in kitchen, hall and 2 piece powder room and replace with tile or linoleum. Please give me a ball park price and then I will arrange for more formal estimates.
One floor board has an edge that sticks up quite a bit, and that's unsightly and catches on things. We think that some floorboards would have to be removed, in order to get to the raised floor board to fix it. Other than that, it's a pretty small job (I think), and would probably be great to fill a gap between larger jobs. Please contact if you would be interested in taking a look, and then following up with a quote. I've had a lot of companies lately come for other jobs, say they will give us a quote, and then never contact us again. Serious inquiries only pleae.
Hi,
I need to get ~500 sq. ft. of laminate flooring installed. There is a stairwell in the middle of the area to be installed. Otherwise it is relatively square....no weird angles. It is a 12mm high quality laminate that I have already purchased.
Could you please let me know how much per sq. ft. you would charge to install this as well as the baseboard?
Thanks,
We need laminate flooring installed in two home. In the first home we need it laid on the staircase (7 stairs), in the hallway and in the master bedroom.(approx. 170sq ft) and the second and third bedroom.. In the second house we need it laid on the staircase (14 stairs?), in the hallway and in all three bedrooms. We need the first house done immediately and the second house done the beginning of april.
Remove partial tile and put down laminate.
Remove two rooms carpet and put down laminate.
I currently have a tile floor at my front door that runs down the main hallway of the home and connects to the kitchen. There are two rooms attached to this tile run that are carpet. I would like to have approximately 125 sq feet of this tile pulled up so that only the front entry area and the kitchen are tile, and a laminate laid down in it's place as well as the two rooms that are currently carpeted. There is also some frayed carpet at the top of the stairs I would like to repair. (Had cats at one point). Home is ~15 years old.
Simcoe / Conlin area in Oshawa.
I recently purchased a home and have a few renovation projects I would like to complete.
Flooring: The house is approximately 1750 sq. ft. but that includes stair, kitchen and multiple baths and a foyer area. I am looking to remove the carpet and lay laminate. I am looking for a quote for the cost of the removal and install.
Bathroom: There is a basement bathroom rough in that has plumbing stacks and supply to the room, electrical and HVAC finished. The bathroom needs, drywall, ceiling, flooring as well as sink, toilet and shower installed.
Garage Door to House: Wall is likely load bearing. Location is negotiable along the wall and would require stairs in the garage area.
I am available
I am interested in replacing the carpet in a 3 story town home with laminate floors and would also want to redo the stairs as well (remove carpet, either restain the wood to a darker colour and have wooden stained risers and treads or replace balusters with wrought iron option). The townhouse is approximately 1775 sq ft total but I would not be doing anything to the floors in the kitchen, bathrooms or laundry.
I am a prospective buyer and have attached pictures of the ad as well as the floor plans from the builder. Ideally I am looking for a breakdown of the pricing for the job in a quote as there are parts of the job that might be done by a friend (ex. removal of the carpet and laminate flooring throughout the floors would potentially done by a close family friend) to help with budgeting.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Replace, repair or remove cold air duct in small “added-on” room; this will require removing / replacing part of existing floor. Change / update floor vents (hot and cold). Possibly install new vinyl flooring. Also want (but optional) new ceiling, crown molding, and new interior and closet doors.
My hardwood floors were treated with 3 coats of polyurethane only 1 year ago, and my tenants have scratched many areas (main hallway, some bedrooms). The tenants also tried to use a (regular?) marker to hide some scratches, but the colour isn't a good match.
Various small to medium sized scratches and/or scuff of varying depths.
Scratch in hallway is 10feet long.
They also broke many tiles in kitchen and foyer - would like these replaced with the extra tiles I have. Thanks!
We bought a brand new home in Oshawa and it will be ready in the new year. The current stairs come with carpet. We would like to rip out the carpet and put in an oak staircase...we will stain it ourselves since we will be putting in the hardwood floors by ourselves.
We would like an estimate for:
1. oakstairs (per step)
2. iron pickets
3. 1 stair landing
4 noising
and labour plus anything else that we would need.
The home is in Oshawa.
The home is approximately 10-15 years old.
2 ceramic tiles have caved in at the sliding doors in the kitchen. It appears tobe water damage from underneath the sliding doors. The sub floor has rotted and collapsed. Inspecting the area from the basement, it does not look like the rot is extensive.
I do not have replacement ceramic tiles available nor have I been able to match the existing tile, therefore the job would require removing approx 100sf of ceramic tile, repairing/sealing leaking area, replacing some of the sub floor & then retiling or laying down wood laminate as a replacement floor. The kitchen & family room are connected. If matching or complimenting the existing laminate in the family room is not possible, the job may require replacing laminate wood floor in family room as well (approx 175sf)
