We are currently looking for someone to relocate some duct work in our home.
We have a floor vent, and wall air return which both need to be relocated asap.
If this is something you are qualified to do and are interested in, please contact us ASAP, to view the project for a quote and discuss the job further.
Thank you.
I will be moving into a home in May in Donevan, Oshawa & thought of installing ductwork for the kitchen. At this point, the kitchen has no exhaust/range hood or even duct work done.
The kitchen is on the north side of the house & there are no rooms in between the kitchen & the north building wall. I have attached the floor plan. So I was hoping this will let me vent the air from the range or vent hood directly to the outside.
We own the home & move in May & will look to finalize everything so that work begins at least by July-Aug.
I am looking for a price & time estimate for this. Also I'd appreciate it if you could let me know all additional costs that could arise for this project.
Rural
Built in 1983
1800 sq ft house
slab-on-grade, 2-storey, fully above-ground but configured like bungalow (kitchen, livingroom, bedrooms on 2nd floor)
Need to convert from electric baseboard to another OPTION THAT IS NOT NATURAL GAS, as it is not available.
Heat pump, electric forced air, propane, radiant...
Must support heating and cooling.
drawings attached
starting early january
max budget for hvac 15k or less
contact with quotes via email pls.
I have been told by my hvac engineer that some ductwork such as ones in basement shown on attached on drawings is custom size; however we can change size of ductwork to make it all regular standard, saving time and money.
I am not getting heat up through a vent that used to give heat into my living room.
There is too much heat coming from the ceiling in laundry area of the basement.
This started to occur when I upgraded the electrical system and electricians were rushing through the ceiling of the basement. I need a qualified HVAC person to fix this problem.
Hello,
I'm currently emailing several companies trying to build a proper idea on what the cost for the following home improvement would be. My ideal timeline to begin the project would be early May of this year. If you are able to answer the questions below it would be most appreciated.
Information about the home:
Located in North Oshawa
1700 Sq. feet home.
Natural gas is already run to the home (fireplace)
Unfinished Basement & Unfinished Attic
Currently no duct work in the home
Expecting that a bulk head will need to go up a set of rooms to accommodate ducts to the second floor. (open to other suggestions)
What I require:
High Efficiency Furnace
High Efficiency Air conditioner
Installation and Duct Work completed
Ability to turn off heating / cooling to rooms in the house properly
Smart thermostat that can be programmed.
Work completed in a very cost effective manner (very budget conscious)
Questions:
High level estimate of costs?
Equipment brands / models you suggest.
Any methods of making the ducting more efficient?
How much time would the installation take?
How much time would it take to acquire the equipment?
Regards,
Kevin
We are looking for a quote on the removal of a buried oil tank in our Simcoe Heights (Oshawa) front yard. The pipe is presently sticking up out of the ground by about two feet. Must be TSSA approved. There is no need to restore the landscape given a landscaper has already been engaged to redesign the front yard.
I am purchasing a plug-in (portable) air conditioner but do not have the tools nor the skill to vent this to the outside (rather than venting thru window). I have an older home with plaster walls inside & brick outside. What would this cost me (including materials)? I am only available evenings or weekends to have this done.
Thank you for responding.
Replace, repair or remove cold air duct in small “added-on” room; this will require removing / replacing part of existing floor. Change / update floor vents (hot and cold). Possibly install new vinyl flooring. Also want (but optional) new ceiling, crown molding, and new interior and closet doors.
I have an old AC system (Tecumseh) that has a shorted compressor. I purchased a similar sized compressor with the same wiring on ebay. The suction and discharge for the high pressure gas are in different locations and may be different sizes. I need to retrofit the old plumbing, purge the existing R22 (It is still in the old system), flush out the old system, change the compressor, evacuate and recharge the system with R22 or R22A (Equivalent) Do you people do this kind of work?
