Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to source a local contractor to do a MINOR kitchen renovation for our home - specs/requirements listed below:
-Must be a local contractor - meaning ONLY within the Durham region
-Would have expertise specifically in kitchen renovation and the requisite skills/licences
-Remove current kitchen counter tops, sink, faucet and discard
-Replace kitchen counter tops (includes island) with quartz - approximate total square footage is 41 (please quote both options)
-Replace the current double sink for a under mount 1 cavity sink
-Replace current faucet with a new faucet
-Install back splash (this will require removing and re-installing the tall mounted current kitchen fan)
-Install 3 pendant lights over the island (we will supply the pendant lights)
-Extra lighting - likely pot lights around/over the island(6-8 pot lights)
-Dimmer switch(s) to control the new lighting
-Install an extra 2 electrical outlets
In summary, We realize this is a small renovation project hence why we are looking for a local contractor. However, there is long term potential for other renovation projects for our house. For example, our next renovation project after the kitchen will to renovate a 1,500 unfinished basement. The selected contractor for this project has a high probability of getting the basement renovation project but contingent on how well they do the kitchen renovation and other factors such as cost to do a basement renovation.
In terms of timing for this job - we would not be starting this project until sometime in 2017 depending on the selected contractor and their availability. However, the likely timing would be in the 1st quarter of 2017. When responding to this ad, if you could provide your availability that would be helpful in the eventual hiring decision. As well, if you could provide an estimated time to complete the job that would be helpful as well (not including ordering of materials - example - the counter tops)
Thanks in advance for you interest.
Ron

-Must be a local contractor - meaning ONLY within the Durham region
-Would have expertise specifically in kitchen renovation and the requisite skills/licences
-Be prepared to submit/manage building permit process with the city (assuming we need a building permit
-quote should include any blueprints required to be submitted to the city along with appropriate building permit(s)
-Remove current kitchen counter tops
-Replace kitchen counter tops (includes island) with granite or quartz - approximate total square footage is 41 (please quote both options)
-Replace the current double sink for a under mount 1 cavity sink
-Replace current faucet with a new faucet
-Install back splash (this will require removing and re-installing the tall mounted current kitchen fan)
-Extra lighting - likely pot lights around/over the island
-Dimmer switch(s) to control the new lighting
-Install an extra 1-2 electrical outlets
-Possibly install a gas line for an eventual gas stove - current stove is electrical so we want to still have the electrical outlet in place (whether we do this now will depend on the total cost of the job and skill set of selected contractor)

Need a professional contractor with eyes for detailed kitchen to transform a 1950 kitchen to a 21st century Kitchen. I will buy all desired materials with advice from contractor. Will only be paying for installation work to contractor. Preferable start date would be Saturday August 13th.
Kitchen is quite small (Approx 90 X 65). Requires new cabinet (wall and base), new floors, painting, back splash, counter top, curtain controls, lighting etc
*Will be available mostly for calls between 5pm-7pm weekdays* May be lucky to get me before the time.
Hello,
We are considering redoing our Kitchen cupboards, we are NOT looking to reface them we would like to remove the existing ones and replace with a better more efficient design. The kitchen is narrow and small.
We have already replaced the appliances and the flooring so we are looking to just replace the cabinetry and counter tops with something more modern and efficient.
I am looking for a cost estimate please forward an estimate for what I am asking for and the length of time it would take to do the renovation. This is not part of the HRTC as that is passed. Give me an high low price and I WILL NOT hold you to it I am just looking at the differences in prices.
Thanks for your time.
10 by 10 kitchen built in 70's no plumbing or electrical as I have my own electrician. Half wall needs to be taken down and in this wall has one support beam (doesn't go to the basement, but does support joist in attic). Install jack post and cap. Looking for someone to provide ideas and estimate for free in Oshawa area. I have a couple of estimates but still looking at my options.
We are looking at adding an in cabinet dishwasher and small island to our existing kitchen. We will likely place the dishwasher in the island. Would like to possibly match the existing cabinets if possible. We would also like to replace the flooring in the kitchen (Tile), dining room and living room (laminate)as well probably before the island is built. We will likely replace the existing flooring with manufactured hardwood. (roughly 400 sq. ft.)
Looking for free estimates for the project.
We own the home.
Thanks
Kitchen condo approx. 10 feet linear counter length, with a break for stove. There is a dishwasher as well. I would like to replace the doors with middle of the line doors. There's 8 full size and 4 small size doors, along with 5 drawers. The cabinets seem fine so I wish to keep them. I also wish to replace the countertop with a good laminate.
So, I'm looking for a ballpark cost for new doors and countertop. I own the condo which was built around 1975.
Thanks!
First is to remove wall from kitchen to dining room. This is a support wall and requires a steel beem in order to support the second floor of the house. Gut kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway. Insulate the walls and reinstall woodwork. there is beautiful oak trim now. I am hoping you will be able to save it. Of course redrywall. Rough in for mainfloor bath. Install laminent flooring in living dining and front hall. Install vinyle flooring in kitchen. Install kitchen I want someone who can take me to homes where they have done work so that I can see the quality of their workmanship.
The main floor of the home is approximately 1000 square feet (not really sure) I would prefer that the kitchen cabinets and counter tops be purchased at Lowes. I like the ones you buy right off the shelf.
My home was built in 1925 This is a big job.
I'm looking to source a local contractor to do a minor kitchen renovation - specs below:
-Replace kitchen countertops (includes island) with granite - approximate square footage is 41
-Swap out the builder double sinks for a undermount 1 cavity sink
-Swap out the builder's faucet
-Backsplash
-Extra lighting - likely pot lights around/over the island
Please note, this is a minor small job however, there is long term potential for other larger projects in our house - example - we are eventually going to finish a 1,500 square foot basement.
We have just bought our first home and are looking to gut the original kitchen (1946). Looking for someone with a good eye who is familiar with building IKEA kitchens. May require removing a wall and adding an island (home inspection is happening this week and we’ll take measurements then), as the current layout is somewhat limiting. We take possession of the home at the end of March and looking for the Reno to start immediately so we can move into our dream home shortly after!
I have a wall in between my kitchen and main room and would like to tear it down or possibly have a half wall to make kitchen bigger. Would like an island and breakfast counter added with more cabinets underneath. Add a few hanging lights
If it is a bearing wall i am will to just have a cutout.
Kitchen cabinets are basic white.
I've copied the scope from my current document, please contact with any questions.

My house was built in 1974, kitchen has never been done, we have been here over 14 years. I need new Cabinets, counter, sink, flooring. Cabnets white and do not have to be top of the line just want something that looks great. I am not changing the layout or the stove and fridge as they are not that old. I am going to try to stay in the budgedt of not more then 5,000.00 as the bathroom needs to be done as well. I am working with a budget around 8,000.00 for both. Bathroom is very small and I am not looking for anthing fancy, quality work is a must.
We would like to completely update our kitchen, from the floor to the ceiling. The kitchen is small about 20x20. We would like to have a wall from the dining room to the kitchen removed to open it up. There is a door frame to the addition I would like removed and cleaned up as well. New floor (open to options) from our front hall through the kitchen. New counter top with either double sink or sink and a half, new built in dishwasher and new cupboards. I do not have much in the way of vision so I am hoping to get a few ideas that would be possible to do.
