Looking for quotes to have basement drywall work done. Looking for 2 quotes:
1) board installation and mud / tape / sanding to primer ready.
2) mud / tape / sanding to primer ready only.
Roughly 600 square feet of living space, mostly outside perimeter walls with 1 or 2 inside walls. Drywall will be for the walls and ceiling. I will provide the board.
I am finishing a basement and have decided to contract out the drywall installation and plastering/sanding. I estimate approximately 2100 sq ft of board area for ceiling/bulkheads (flat finish, no spray), and walls. The area to be finished is a large open area, 2 small windows, and a small bathroom (which will require blue drywall). The bulkheading and strapping, electrical, and all plumbing will be done and the site ready for drywall on Tuesday Aug 23rd. Potlight holes will be cut into the drywall afterwards (by me) and all electrical wire will be pre-located in the ceiling space. Bulkheads are all good sturdy straight surfaces.. All drywall installation, plastering, and sanding must be complete by monday Aug 29th. Access is through the house, straight basement staircase, and can likely take a 12' sheet through with no problem.
I need a fixed price for the job with a breakdown of materials vs labour. Drywall has not been ordered yet as you are a better judge of the requirements.
Please contact me by email to arrange a site visit for estimation. Site visits will be any evening this week between 6:00PM and 9:00PM, although the work will be done during the days and optionally evenings/weekends.
With a baby on the way, I would like to split the upstairs Master Bedroom into two rooms. 1950's 1.5 storey sloped ceiling. Originally 2 bedroom that was opened up, now need the 2nd bedroom back.
I require 2 walls built (installed over top of (laminate flooring), with 2 doors. Work should include, framing, drywall, mud, tape, sand and paint. Must be finished before end of July.
I would like a ballpark figure for complete drywalling of my basement walls and ceiling (about 800 square feet ceiling with possible bulkhead and 120 feet of wall by 8 feet high
) as well as half of main floor walls and ceiling (about 120 feet of wall by 9 feet high and about 800 square feet for ceiling), and second floor patches (about 10 patches that are roughly 2 feet by 2 feet). I just need a minimum to estimated max. I realize an actual walk through quote would still need to be done, but I just want a best guess rough number please.
I'm looking for quotes on assisting with dry-walling a basement reno project. Finished area is approx 200 sq ft, estimate 18-20 sheets of drywall to be hung, all wall (no ceiling, already exists). Looking at 1/2" drywall, need drywall hung, mud & tape to stage ready for painting.
Hi, I have put a wall up in my kitchen and I require someone to do the finishing, including mudding and taping.
Please let me know if you have a square foot rate, or if you come to the house to quote the job (I live in Queensway Terrace North). Also, let me know how soon you could start.
There is a requirement to install drywall in a new approx. 1,000 sq.ft. two bedroom basement apartment. The framing is now ready to accommodate the resilient channel, 5/8€ type X, € drywall on the walls, mudding, taping, primed and ready for painting. The anticipated starting date is approx. June 13th.
We're looking to have someone with a team come in and finish the drywall in our house. We're located in centretown, and have a full main floor, stairway, 2nd floor bathroom and portion of a hallway to do. The floor foot print is roughly 40x16' on the main floor, the upstairs hallway and bathroom would be about 10x20'
We would require strapping to be installed for hanging drywall.
Looking for November 21st start date.
I have some holes in the drywall in my apartment that I need repaired, taped and plastered.
One hole is about 3ftx2ft that I have cut out. The second hole is about 1ftx6in and around a light socket, this one has been cut out but might need to be expanded. The third hole is damage that is about 6" around.
If you can provide a quote it would be appreciated. I have drywall, plaster, and fibreglass tape as I did try and repair this myself
I need a drywaller to add drywall in my furnace room ceiling and interior walls as well as seal off a doorway and a crawl space. There is only about 150-200 square feet of drywall to do but the furnace room ceiling will take some framing as well. The drywall must be taped and fire-rated for 30 minutes.
Decide to delete this project as the info is not accurate, and I put different jobs in one project.
Plz check HCA41737 for the description for the new project. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience I made.
(1) Remove the dry wall, or cut a big opening in the middle of the dry wall to make the living room and dining room connected, and make the area as open as possible
(2) Mold the opening with curve molding on the top.
(3) Install 4 pot-light in the living room
(4) Mold the ceiling of the family room and install 6 pot lights.
We have removed the old tongue-and-groove wood planks from the walls of the living room in our recently purchased house. Underneath we have found drywall in most areas but because the wood planks were nailed and glued, the underlying wall is damaged with thousands of nail holes and the remaining glue. We would like the walls to be refinished so that they can be painted. All walls are 8 feet in height. See below for images and details:
19.5 foot exterior wall with sliding door in the middle. There is 1 foot on either side of the door that is unfinished with exposed insulation and wood board.
12.5 foot interior wall. No adhesive but thousands of nail holes.
12.5 foot interior wall with doorway at one end. There is also a 7 foot drop ceiling that is continuous with this wall.
3 foot interior wall.
I have two open areas of drywall in the basement approximately 1 square meter each, I'd like to replace those holes with the waterproof (blue) drywall.
Secondly I have a hole (about the size of a quarter) in the drywall in the kitchen where a bit of water leaked from the bathtub when the faucet was replaced. However a hole may need to be cut of 30 centimeters by 1 meter (approximately).
Would like quotes to patch holes in basement, and repair ceiling in kitchen including taped and ready for paint.
I had a small water leak in my basement which has caused some mold to grow on my wall. It originated on one side of the wall and has now seeped through to the other side. The area is probably the size of a dinner plate. There may be mold behind the baseboard.
I would like the mold and/or drywall to be removed and replaced.
I have 3 main areas need to be done:
1- a patch of 3X3 was done in the main floor ceiling for plumbing fix. now need to paint it to blend with the rest. the whole room is 10X10 aprox.
2- one wall where a sheet of dry wall was replaced. now need to be plastered and painted then blend with the rest of the wall with a final coat.
3- exterior small paint job around an exterior window and the grage fram.
I have a small project. I require a ceiling installed in a room approximately 12'x12'. This is an old house, with lath and plaster walls, so my thought is that we could install the drywall over the existing ceiling - which is beginning to fall apart. I would like this done as soon as possible. I own the house.
We've got a very small job, but can't do it myself! Because of leaking from my cold room into the basement, we have (1) a couple of panels of drywall that go right down to the floor that need to be removed (2) check if there's any mould and if so, get rid of it, and (3) install new drywall that is cut higher up off the floor. Thanks!
I'm now living in a condo with exposed concrete on the ceiling (approx. 240 Sq. Ft) and one long unostructed wall (approx. 300 Sq. Ft). I'm reacting badly to the concrete due to environmental sensitivities.
How much would it cost to purchase porcelain (recommended by my doc) tile and install on the long wall and also to cover the ceiling with drywall and paint it?
The drywall around the ceiling and wall corner near the house wall in my attached garage has move apart and left a 1-2 inch gap. Also, the dog has scratch a 2 foot by 6 inch patch in the inside drywall beside the front door. I need this repaired sometime this summer. I am the owner of the house.
