Hello,
My wife and I are moving out of our condo and need someone to come in and refinish portions of the hardwood floors that were scratch by our dog. There are also some low windowsills that have been chewed and are in need of repair or replacement.
Please let me know if this falls within the purview of your team. Ideally, the work would be completed before September, but if that's not an option we would still like a quote as soon as possible, as the work can be completed at a later date if necessary.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Home with natural finish oak hardwood flooring (pre-finished, bevelled edge panels, installed by builder). - *Looking for professional hardwood flooring specialists* - for sanding and refinishing with clear/natural finish. 2 yr old home would be vacant; 2mm sanding thickness required to fix damages by tenants. Please note home is in Ottawa.
To remove existing hardwood flooring and necessary baseboards from the majority of a 13'x14.5' basement bedroom, and then re-install after a plumber replaces a broken sewer line. Looking for flooring removal ASAP, with flooring re-installation possible 2-3 weeks later. FYI, there is currently no sewer water contamination in the work space.
Flooring is original to the house, and already moved once from main floor to basement.
I am the home owner.
I need a quote for the installation of hardwood flooring and baseboards for hallway (approx. 12 x 3), living room (approx 12 x 10) and reading room (approx 10 x 10). Preferred material would match what we have in the kitchen, which has several coats of finish on it for high-traffic area. As well, baseboards would need to be high-end, pre-finished. Age of house is 28 years.
- 4 bedrooms, hallways and stairs require hardwood flooring
- Currently not sure if we should install engineered hardwood or real hardwood. The case for real hardwood would be only to match it with the main floor hardwood which is existing and the real hardwood floor.
- Could consider a hybrid install where stairs are matching to the main floor and upper floor is engineered wood.
- Would prefer a contractor who specializes in hardwood flooring.
1. House - 4 bedrooms, totalling approx. 506 square feet. Currently has carpeting; would like to replace with hardwood.
2. House was built in 2008/09.
3. I'm considering either floating floor bamboo or "traditional" hardwood for the bedrooms.
4. The house will be empty i.e. no funiture to move around (we just purchased the house, and would like the work done before we move in).
5. Work needs to be done between Novermber 13-15, 2011.
6. I will supply the bamboo or hardwood.
Please quote price for 1) floating floor, 2) "traditional" hardwood.
Thanks.
Hello,
I would be interested in getting my baseboard electric heating by ducts for heating and cooling through out my house.
(Basement, main floor, top floor; build in 1981) 1600 sq feet.
I would also be interested in replacing carpets by hardwood floors at the same time.
Thanks
Marc
I live in a condo where the main area has existing hardwood in place (approx 750 sq ft). The wood is in decent condition (it was resurfaced only 3 years ago) but the polyurathane was never layed on thick enough to provide sufficient protection. I would like to have this area 'screened' to remove superficial scratching and to protect the floor properly (from liquids, cleaning products, etc).
I would also like to install either laminate flooring or hardwood in the master bedroom (approx. 250 sq ft). The bedroom is currently carpeted - beneath the carpet is a concrete floor.
I would appreciate receiving quotes for 1 - the screening of the main area floor, 2 - installation of quality laminate flooring in the bedroom, 3 - installation of hardwood in the bedroom.
My apartment is lightly furnished (I've just returned to the city and have much of my stuff in storage). The existing main area floor is Oak and the stain is a dark espresso. I would like the new flooring in the bedroom to match the main area floor as closely as possible.
Many thanks in advance,
We need to install hardwood in our main floor living room and dining room. We can provide the materials and have them acclimatized beforehand. The existing floors have already been removed.
The rooms dimensions are roughly..
Living room: 13.5' x 11'
Dining room: 9' x 12.5'
So in total it would be around 260 sq ft of flooring. We would potentially like baseboards installed as well. Trying to get an idea of how much it would all cost.
I want to install hardwood flooring on the upper floor bedrooms and hallway.
The 4 bedrooms and hallway total about 800 sq.ft
I would also like to replace the carpet on the stairs with hardwood (or EZ-tread, or some other smilar product)
The hardwood on the main floor needs to be refinished - about 700 sq. ft.
I want to install laminate flooring in the basement . . .about 700 sq. ft
Planning new flooring installation.
1) Removal of existing carpet on hallway stairs, upstairs hallway and masterbedroom area and installation of new underpad and patterned berber carpeting. Install new baseboard where new carpet installed. Total area approximately 1,000 square feet.
2) Removal of existing carpeting, install new level subfloor, and install new wide plank 5" oak flooring and baseboard in living room. Room is 12' x 18' (220 sq ft).
Installation of WarmBoard into an older home. This is a small and straight forward project but a mistake would be costly because the warmboard sheets are custom fit to my home and would take months to replace. This is a job for a skilled carpenter with flooring experience. Must be willing to work with owner.
We already have the wood, and looking for someone to install the harwood on our floors. We need someone to finish our baseboards in the living/dinning room area, finish the wood where the banister sits, and install wood in our den, and hallway. Therefore, approx square footage is around 100 feet.
Looking for someone as soon as possible.

- removing kitchen flooring and installing hardwood;
- refininishing hardwood throughout main level;
- enlarging a window and relocating another window;
- electrical and plumbing;
- re-insulating, drywall etc;
- backspash;
- other work as required.
Cabinet install not included in scope of work or budget.
I am looking to redo the flooring for the kitchen, living/dining room area of a house I have recently purchased. Would like to have the work done prior to moving in, so a nice empty workspace.
We will be using a laminate floor, 10mm (australian made), further details of product to be installed available at request (invoice at home~)
Total floor area consists of a kitchen (no appliances in place), living room and dining room (landing area of stair case is here, banisters meet floor). There is 280 square feet combined in the entire space.
There is currently a stick on vinyl plank (fake wood looking...)on the entire floor surface that is stuck ontop of original vinyl/tile in kitchen (not sure what is under it in the living/dining area but most likely subfloor).
Let us know what you can do.
Rip up carpet that is stained with cat urine in some places and replace with laminate flooring that has already been purchased. We have also bought some paint like substance to put on the subfloor to cover the cat urine smell prior to putting down the laminate. It dries in 45 minutes.
There are three rooms and a hallway that need to be done. One of the rooms is the "great room" or family room and the other two rooms are bedrooms and a hallway. The total area to be covered is approx. 500 sq. feet.
We have one quote that included the removal and disposal of the carpet and the addition of quarter-round.
Looking forward to hearing from a few of you.
Thanks,
Cathy

We're looking to have laminate flooring laid throughout most of our home. We've started buying the flooring and we are using laminate with the padding attached. We cannot glue down the floor or remove any of the underlying flooring, when we move we need to return the floors to what they are now. We have already completed two rooms. We are looking to have someone finish the job. Our entire home is 900 Sq/Ft and as I said we we've already completed two rooms, plus we are not having the bathroom done. We would like quotes based on the 900 Sq/Ft. Obviously it will be considerably less, but please quote on this area.
Thanks.
Hello,
We live in a 70's split level where our family room is at grade level on a concrete slab. There is a crack in the floor that has caused a heave. We would like to level the floor before adding the hardwood (we installed already, but the floor was uneven, so we removed it).
