No existing dishwasher in place so it is a full installation.
Plumbing is there and looks straighforward to hook onto.
Should be easy enough to clear the space in the counters.
Dishwasher is an LG
Let me know - would like to do this soon.
I already possess the installation kit (if that influences your price)
2 Storey Home
House Age: 49 years
Looking to replace an exterior water tap that is very old, loose from the brickwork, and leaks at the tap when the water is turned on. There is easy access to the tap and to the pipes on the interior of the home. I would also appreciate quoting on installing a shutoff valve to this exterior faucet from the interior of the house to avoid any chance of the pipes freezing.
I would like quotes for the installation of a natural gas, power vented, 60 gallon hot water tank. I live in downtown Ottawa in a 100 year old house with a stone foundation so coring will be required. Access to the basement is via an outdoor cellar door to a 4 foot semi-basement which leads to 6 foot high room where a new high efficiency furnace was installed. Installation would replace rental electric hot water heater. Aiming for Feb. 2013 installation.
I have a new toilet that needs to be installed. It is a home depot kit containing everything required.
Also I need to have the seal changed on another toilet at the same location. I don't have the new wax seal
I require the old toilet to be removed.
Location is a condo, in downtown Ottawa.
Need work done as soon as possible
Currently the laundry pair is in the basement. Wish to purchage a small (apartment sized) laundry pair for the main floor. Current thinking is have it in the dinning room in the corner where on the other side of the wall is the main floor bathroom. The dinning room currently has hardwood flooring (oak).
Installation should be done in such a way that it would be relatively easy to put it back to a normal dining room should we decide to sell.
Location: Mooney's Bay area (Ottawa ON)
It is probably not a big job but needs to be done. We have a clogged drain in the kitchen sink. Tried using a metal snake and inserted it for the full length of 40 feet but it did not help. If someone could use a pneumatic tool or else, it would be helpful. Ottawa east (Cummings Ave) Please respond with a quote.
1) Installing an old cast iron sink, that has been refinished, back into the kitchen. A wooden frame/cubboard will have to be built to support the weight of the sink. Some pipework exists as a temporary laundry sink is in situ at the moment and would have to be swapped out
2) Washing machine in the basement needs new hoses. Unfortunately the old ones are rusted on fast may need some effort to remove and replace
Licensed Plumber needed for estimate monday morning in Blackburn Hamlet and to begin work the week of July 15th.
-Relocating laundry plumbing from basement to upper level. Capping the water in previous basement laundry room.
-Place all new faucets in powder room, master bathroom, ensuite, and kitchen (no demo required)
-Place toilets in those three washrooms
-Repair outside water line as it burst in the winter.
Only plumbers with proof of licensing and insurance please.
Thank you! 8D
I need to determine the age of the plumbing system in my new house (for the insurance company). They requested a master plumbers report. The house is a bungalow with about 1200 square feet on the main floor and a ibises basement. There are three bathrooms, and a wet bar; in addition to the regular plumbing (for the kitchen, furnace and laundry room).
How much would a master plumbers report cost?
The toilet from the 2nd storey bathroom leaks through the 1st storey ceiling.
This only happens if the bathroom floods for whatever reason so my thinking is that it's not a leaking pipe, it's an issue with insulation.
After the bathroom is cleaned and no more water is on the surface it takes about 2 days for the ceiling to "dry".
The indoor on/off screw valve (?) for our outdoor hose is leaking. When I turned the water on this spring (tap is in the basement ceiling), the outdoor hose could be used (on/off, water comes out), but we noticed (a couple days later!) that the inside tap/valve (is leaking). We turned off the water from there, and the leaking stops. But now we can't use the front hose (picture how sad our garden looks). My husband is unsure how to proceed (without turning off house water, and possibly not getting it fixed, thereby leaving us with no water!). Help!
We need to have the inside shut off tap replaced that is used to shut off the outside water tap. We had a plumber in less than a year ago and they replaced the o ring. Turned on water this spring and it is leaking much more than it was originally last year. Tried to tighten ring but it seems to be as tight as it will go.
We have a few small projects that we need a plumber for:
1. We need to replace an old two-handled shower faucet system in our bastement bathroom with an upgraded one (cut and reposition copper pipes, attach new fixture.
2. Install tub surround (5 piece system from home depot).
3. Install new toilet in basement bathroom.
4. Replace a 3-4 foot section of galvanized pipe in laundry room.
5. Replace laundry tub and leaky faucet in laundry room.
We have tub surround, and can purchase all fixtures and laundry tub, just need someone to install everything. If you can provide a competitive quote including fixtures, we are open to that as well, as we have not purchased everything yet.

I currently have a kitched located directly above my laundy room. The laundy room has an open ceiling with easy access to the kitchen above.
I have space for a dishwasher in my kitchen which is on the opposite side of the kitchen than the sink is.
I am looking to install a dishwasher there, but need to run the plumbing. What are my options?
Need a contractor to do drainage plumbing for new kitchen, powder room, master bath, laundry room. Owner will do source water plumbing.
Walls, basement floor are already open. Building permit has been obtained. Most work is being done by handy homeowner, but some specialized work is being contracted out (like this bit).
House was built in 1942 (or so). Most of the new plumbing work will be in the addition part of the house, all new construction. Updated electricity. Former kitchen has been removed. City services (sewer and source water) have been replaced to the foundation wall/water meter. Want a plumbing contractor to do the wastewater plumbing rough-in to the new kitchen, powder room, laundry room and master bath. Homeowner will do the rest. There is one functioning bathroom in the house, which will remain untouched.
We'd like it done soonish, there is no particular urgency but this is the next part of the project to do. We are more interested in quality of work than other considerations, but getting the work done soonish and price are next on the list of priorities.
Please call to get an appointment for a quote. Someone can be at the house on Fridays, or potentially early any weekday morning until 9:30 or on weekday evenings.
