I am looking to have a bathroom in a 2012 house converted into a bedroom. It would require changing of a window and moving of a wall. Bedroom would be about 100sq feet. Bathroom to be removed is 70 sq feet and a wall would be moved into adjacent bedroom to add about 30-40sq ft. I am the owner of the property.
I'd like to install a bathroom in the attic. It would be located almost directly above the bathroom on the floor beneath it. This part of the attic is unfinished and will need some drywall work as well. On another note a wall will need to be framed in (size approx) 8x9 ft. Nothing exists where the wall needs to be put in.
Id like to get someone in this monday to get a more accurate quote, but just wanted some very rough ideas.
Need a wall removed (open up kitchen to make a great room with living room)
2 new bathroom renovations (new sink vanity toilet and flooring)
Some new kitchen cabinets and some new doors for existing cabinets, install new dishwasher, new flooring in kitchen, some new lighting in living room kitchen and hallways (2)
Roughly 300 sq ft, beside existing asphalt driveway. Former lawn. Needs to be dug out, gravelled, and topped.
For top, considering either interlock brick or asphalt. Willing to consider other alternatives.
Nice to do before it snows, otherwise it can wait until spring 2014.
Need a large room on main floor of townhouse divided in to two rooms. Requires 2 interior walls and a door. Flooring is hardwood, basement below is finished. No electrical needed in new wall but may require moving one wall plug over by a foot.
Dividing wall needed is 12 feet and an angled doorway wall about 5 feet (enclosing door in photo in to a room on the right).

My husband and I just purchased the ugliest house in the world and need a professional to tell us if rebuilding is possible or just starting from scratch is the best. We want approx 2000 sq ft plus loft of finished basement that walks out. Needs 3 bedroom plus spare room/office, 2 x 4 pc bath and a guest bathroom. Nice architecture and finishes at the best price. We have money to get started and can finance if need be.
What will it cost? Best way to get started? Is getting a pre fab house smart?
