Hi, Would like to have a back-yard deck. The approximate measurements are 30' x 12' or 15'. It would be 2' off the ground at the house and 3' at the other end. One single staircase going down. Please see the attached drawing for design.
Either pressure treated wood for the whole deck, or pressure treated for the frame and cedar for the rest.
My maximum budget is $2500......
Hello. We have a second story deck connected to a stucco wall, and there is some water seeping into the beams in the house. There seems bulging on the exterior stucco as well. We want to replace the existing deck, as well as the stucco wall repair, so we would like you to bring a trusted deck builder to work together on our project. We prefer to start as soon as possible, but we will wait until spring if the work is weather permitting.
Thank you.
My dad wants to rebuild his deck. We are not sure of the extent of the problem, but there is grass growing underneath the deck and signs of rotted foundation. For now, assuming we are doing a brand new deck and brand new foundation, below is the info about our deck:
Basic deck:
- size: AREA = (12*6+12*9=)180 sqft, parameter = 24+9+6=39 ft
- need guardrail all around - note: we have toddlers that will play in this area.
- need 1- 2 steps coming down to the lawn
- no planter boxes
-The house is in Richmond Hill, just south of 16th Ave. and Bayview.
- decking material: either trex or cedar wood - can you price out for both materials, please?
Extra:
a) may consider built-in benches along the 6 ft parameter - how much? Does it make sense to use Trex here too? or just cedar wood?
b) May consider lights for evening entertaining - maybe at the four corners? does this need to build more receptacles for this?
c) Removal and disposal of existing deck
Could you help price out the above (labour + material) for 1) Trex and 2) Cedar wood, showing the extras as a separate cost (e.g., the benches and lightings) from the basic deck?
Lastly, have your firm had experience with using Trex composite material?
Does it make sense to use Trex for the handrail as well?
Thank you for your time in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Julia
I’m looking to have 2 Railings fashioned for our front porch.
(I’ve attached a drawing of something similar to what we’re looking for)
The Railings are to be about 24” in overall length each. (for two risers only)
A - What would you charge to fashion these railings? (for me to install)
B - What would you charge to install them as a complete job?
(by coring the required holes into our Granite Porch, and grouting them in afterwards)
Hi,
Our Deck was destroyed in fire and needs to be rebuilt from Scratch. The Concrete base for the Posts is the only thing left since we have removed the destroyed Deck.
The dimension we are looking for the Walkout Basement Deck is 26 x 10 x 11. The Deck has entrance from 2 sides the Kitchen and the Den.
I am looking for the Quote for Rebuild of Deck. I am looking for Quote for both Presure Treated wood and Treks.
I am looking to proceed on this as soon as possible so will be waiting to hear from you promptly.
Thank you,
Jawad
Hello,
We have 6 rotting wood porch columns that need replacement. These columns are load bearing. We are interested in replacing them with fiberglass (initially looking at HB&G, but open to suggestions). 3 of the columns are near ground level, but 3 are on the second floor. Please see the attached pictures.
Additionally, we will need to replacing the railing. We are open to either aluminum or vinyl - we don't have strong feelings around this.
To contractors.
We currently have a porch that we would like the roof extended over.
The porch is roughly 8x6 feet. We would like to have the roof extension blend in with existing structure if possible. Our neighbors across the street did a similar job but unfortunately they have moved to another house and we cannot contact them.
Please contact us for a possible cost estimate.
Thanks.
Paul
Hello,
I would like to have a walk-out (two double doors) created from my basement. The basement floor is only a couple of feet below grade. A retaining wall would be needed as well. The walk-out would exit on to a patio (to be built) that is roughly 12 x 18. As well, I would like to change the deck that I have to a size of 9 x 13 (composite material). I have drawings for the whole project!!! The start date for this project could be as early as this fall or Spring 2011.
In addition to this project, I am thinking about an irrigaion system as well as some landscaping in the front of my house (to be discussed later).
Thanks,
Frank
