I have a back log of work that needs to be done in my house, I used to have a very reasonably priced contractor work for me , but unfortunately he is re-locating. I am basically looking for a reasonably prices handyman, living close to my house in Richmond Hill, to form a long term relationship
. I understand that most people quote by the job, and more than likely I will also pay by the project/job. I have a good idea as to how long each job that I have should take, in order to filter out the numerous response I got I am trying to choose someone who is reasonably priced.
Therefore I like to know what your target hourly rate is, this way if I know that a job is going to take 10 hours and if two people work I will have an idea how much it will cost and help me choose some one for me and my friends.
I require the following services for my basement apartment from an experienced and professional handyman (HM):
installation of sink and faucet - sink and faucet already purchased; HM needs to bring drain pipes, etc.
installation of shelves in a small linen closet - HM needs to bring shelving materials
installation of water line for fridge on main floor of house - HM to bring any required materials
moving of appliances (stove, fridge, hood) from main floor to basement
installation of exhaust hood for stove in basement with cabinets above hood - please specify if cabinet price has been included in your quote if you are able to provide matching cabinets (white with brass handles)
Looking for a reasonably priced Handy Man in Richmond Hill to various jobs and to form a long term realtionship, since my regular handy man is retiring this year.
I will be able to recommend this person to all my previous handy man's customers as well
Even though I like to get a quote by the job please indicate your target hourly rate so that I can determine how much a given job cost.
Must live in Richmond Hill
Exterior Maintenance of 9 yr old house in Richmond Hill:
- painting wooden decorative element on side of house (approx. 5' x 5')
- fill in cracked caulking around windows (8-12 windows)
- repair wooden footing on columns - footing approx. 12" x 12" (front porch - 3 columns)
- paint garage door (2 car garage)
- repair/replace lifted shingles on porch roof
Please quote above projects separately if at all possible so we can determine what to take care of first. Thank you for your time, we look forward to reviewing your estimates.
Just bought a house and needs to fix the following after the inspection:
1. Cracks on the outer wall about three which needs to be filled
2. Basement cold room door needs to be replaced
3. Cracks around the central vacuum in the garage needs to be filled
4. A glass wall (which is about half size of the whole wall) needs to be replaced by an unbreakable temper glass
5. Need to add a spring to the garage entrance door from the house.
6. Cracks around the garage door from outside need to be filled.
7. Need to install a food disposer in the kitchen sink
There is no air coming thru the register at the hallway bathroom which is located on the 2nd floor of the house. We suspect that this issue occurs after the renovation of the basement long time ago, we didn't realise it until recently.
We are not sure if the supply duct may be disconnected (or has never connected), obstructed, balancing dampers may be closed.
We have a concern about the cost of having it fixed since we are not sure how serious the problem would be.
I am a tenant of a condo unit in Thornhill.
The previous tenant had a range hood installed incorrectly which recently began wobbling and it then detached on one side.
I completely removed the range hood as it was close to falling down. I would like this range hood re-installed.
I have purchased all necessary nut/bolts/washer (I think I have everything I need). However, you will need a power-drill that is able to make new holes in plywood.
The pipes underneath my kitchen sink started leaking. The copper joint just needs to be re-welded or re-sealed or something.
If you are able to do this task at the same time, please let me know as it would save me time and you'd be way more likely to get the job.
I require a reliable handy man to take care of the following tasks.
1. Repair, tape and repaint a small area on a ceiling
2. Repair a water damaged ledger in shower
3. Re-caulk 4 bathrooms
4. Change a bunch of light bulbs
5. Re-Affix a loose eavestrough
Probably a few other items I can add on that list.
I have a back sliding door (63 by 80 inches) that has no blinds or anything right now. I want to have shutters put up, so I would need the shutters, as well as need someone to put them up.
I also have a white range hood up above my stove, and I bought a stainless steel one that I want put up.
I also want shelves put up in my basement.
I already have the Power Hook as shown on this site click here would like to install the following hammock on it.
Hammock Chair Loungerclick here much would it cost to install it on the ceiling?
