Hi Everyone,
I am putting out an rfp for a relatively small framing and insulation project. No brokers, agents, sales reps please. We prefer to work with the trade person directly.
Scope of work: Frame New Windows (4x8, 4x10), Reinforce Converted Cathedral Ceiling, Insulate ceiling and walls.
G.
My home is about 6 or 7 years old. It's a townhouse with a single garage and I'm finding that the room above the garage is very cold in the winter. I am considering having extra insulation installed in the ceiling of the garage. I would like to know what my options are (fiberglass insulation or a sprayed foam insulation), and what the costs would be. I do not know the R value of the insulation that was used when the home was built. Also, how long, from start to finish, does this type of work take (including repairing/replacing the drywall on the ceiling). Thanks.
