I have two rooms that either need the hardwood refinished, or laminate installed. I also have a hallway. kitchen and bathroom that needs ceramic tiles installed. This is a small older home and we are on a tight budget so we are looking a "handyman", not a large contracting company.
Three floors of hallways and two stairwells which include landings and all steps. The building has concrete prefab slab construction. Total area is approximately 1,100 to 1,200 square feet. I have already bought porcelain tiles and related materials (I have been told that the tiles are quartz based.)
I had a travertine tile floor installed in January. The tiles themselves are layed down not too bad. However, the finishing work did not seem to be quite correct for the tile. The grouting job was rushed and then they were sealed right away. There is a strange kind of texture on the tile that is not removable with heavy elbow greece and tile grout remover. I am pretty sure that the problem is the type of sealer that was used. The tiles also seem somewhat "soft" as there a spots that tiny little knicks or holes have shown.
I am looking for someone who specializes in polishing/restoring tile flooring - specifically stone floors. Again, my guess is that these floors will need to be polished with some kind of special solution and then sealed witha proper sealer - but what do I know.
Please contact me if you are confident that you can fix this.
I represent my company Lion Tiles. We do the work for packing different types of tiles (bathrooms, showers, kitchens, terraces), natural stone indoors and outside (fireplaces, decorative compositions). If you have a need to install tiles or natural materials call, we will be glad to cooperate with you.
I am looking for someone with experience to install 480 sq. ft. of 1/4 fiberock and they travertine tile. I have all materials (minus screws and tools). I have the fiberock, mortor, grout, tile and will purchase sealer.
I have not moved in yet so you can work at your own pace.
Please let me know a TOTAL price -- not a rate or per sq. ft.
