We are looking at having hardwood put in our living room. The area space is 12ft by 17ft. Would you be able to give an estimate on how much it would cost for this area to be installed? We would want it matched to our dining room which has expresso hardwood. However i am unsure of the type of hardwood it is. I am just looking at an estimate or if you would be able to have someone come here and give an estimate?
Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you
Have 3 small rooms waiting for california knock down to be put up and need hardwood flooring (nail down) installed in two of the small bedrooms.
Prior to starting job, arranged contractor landed up in hospital with heart attack .... need job done by tuesday as guests are coming in from out of town for mom's 80th birthday.
Rooms are emptied and ready and have been sleeping on kitchen floor since this past tuesday.
Attached is a floor plan of our main floor.
I would like the following quoted:
1) Removal of stipple from ceilings in Foyer, Living Room, Dining Room and hallway past kitchen. The Kitchen / Breakfast and bathroom is flat. Please let me know if it is possible to create a "California Knock-down" look and the cost compared to flat finish.
2) Removal of carpet and installation of wood in Living Room, Dining Room and hallway. Tiles exist in all other areas. At this time, labour cost would be good enough since we haven't picked the material - it will likely be bamboo approx 5" wide.
3) Crown mouldings in Living Room, Dining Room and above cabinets in the kitchen. Once again, labour cost is good enough until wil pick the mouldings.
We are looking for a good contractor in the area that can do this work - and we can use again after this job for upstairs hardwood and finishing the basement (further down the road).
