Just bought a house. The only room that needs immediate work is the bathroom.
House is over 100 years old.
The family bathroom is on the 2nd floor. There is one in the basement, but that's a separate apartment, that is being rented out at the moment.
There is a powder room immediately below the bathroom on the ground floor.
I would like the family bathroom gutted, top to bottom, and possibly a wall moved slightly to increase the size.
I would like a 4 piece bathroom.
Large soaker bath, shower with two shower heads on either side, toilet and double sinks.
Re-painted, re-tiled.
Would love for the plumbing to be done in a way that would some day permit us creating a shower/toilet room on the 3rd (top) floor.
We'd need this all to be done in 2 weeks. August 15th - 31st.
We need to renovate a small bathroom in a house, remove all existing bathtab/sink/toilet/fixtures.
Small bathroom, size approx. 88" x 60" with a window on a short side.
Need to redo/update plumbing, reposition the sink and toilet, and install a shower instead of a bath tab. will need to install tiles on the floor and the wall.
I have a 9 foot x 6.5 foot bathroom I am going to renovate.
The plan is to:
- Rip out all fixtures (including bidet and tub). The tub and fixtures will be replaced except for the bidet (that space will be tiled over).
- All floor and wall tiles will be removed.
- Install new greenboard in the bathtub area.
- Install new tiles on the floor, bathtub area and above the vanity. May also put tiles on the ceiling of the bathtub area.
- Use some of the floor tiles to make a baseboard. No tiles on the rest of the walls.
- Install a new quiet vent. This may require access to the attic.
- Put the vent and light on separate switches.
- Install new light fixtures.
I am also open to any other suggestions.
Bathroom is 23 years old and needs to be renovated. Measures: 9' X 6' (Floor tiled area) + Tub (31" X 60"). Located on 2nd floor.
Removal of all materials to the studs (including ceiling drywall).
Remove bathtub to be replaced with a standing shower.
Install new floor tile
Install shower tile (Floor and 3 walls), and shower glass + door
Install baseboards
Install finishings (towel holder, toilet paper holder)
New bathroom vent and exhaust through roof (currently into attic)
Install new toilet, vanity, faucet, shower faucet, pot lights, add one more electrical outlet
Owner to supply: all tiles, vanity, faucets, toilet, exhaust fan.
Contractor to supply: Rough materials, shower glass and door, 6 pot lights (LED), electrical needs.
I would like to renovate one bathroom (12'3" x 4'11") and one powder room (5' x 5') and two new bathrooms (6' x 5'6.5"; 8'x7'5"); . The bathroom requires installation of the following items: 1) new bath tub, 2) new tiles, 3) new toilet, 4) new vanity, 5) exhaust fan, 6) mirror, 7) pot light, 8) insulation. The powder room requires the installation of the following items: 1) new tiles, 2) new toilet, 3) new vanity, 4) exhaust fan, 5) mirror, and 6) light. All the materials will be given. The demolition of bathrooms will be done and this is not required. The new bathrooms can be made later. Please let me know the cost and time line.
Complete redo bathroom. Remove existing tiles and flooring. Replace bathtub with airpool tub. Replace existing sink and wooden vanity with new sink and vanity. Replace existing built in wall mirror cabinet with new ones. Add exhaust fan. We choose and buy the materials, you do the renovation and provide your expertise.
I first need my existing blue tiled bathroom gutted. The wall tiles, floor tiles and tub all need to be replaced. I want to keep my existing double vanity, which is made of great quality wood, but must have it refinished in another colour, and its counter-top replaced with granite. I have already purchased the two replacement faucets for the vanity and would need them installed. Also, I have purchased two new vanity lights, which I would need installed to replace the current ones. (This is a really easy part of the job, but since the contractor will be doing other work, I figure not a big deal.)
I have also already purchased the porcelain tiles I would like to replace the current ugly blue tiles on the floor and walls. The new wall tiles I want to only go up about 4 feet, with a nice 4 inch border tile (also already purchased). The replacement tub will need to be included in the contractor's price along with a new shower and tub faucet.
The toilet, only a year old, needs to be kept along with the bathroom mirrors too.
Hello, I have a basement bathroom that has had the tiles, baseboards, 4ft of drywall from the floor up removed due to water damage from a previous tenant. The floor was cleaned and a self leveling cement was used to prep the surface. The square footage of the bathroom that needs tiling is 86 square feet. I have purchased the thin set mortar, tiles as well as the grout.
I was looking for a quote for this work to be done. Additional pictures can be sent to further see the scope of the job.
Thank you,
Jason
I need a quote for a bath renovation. The bathroom is in a 15-year old condo building in downtown Toronto.
The current bath has a one piece bathtub, toilet and vanity with sink. The reason for the renovation is a leaky shower that needs to be replaced. To achieve that, the one piece bath tub will have to damaged / moved / replaced.
I will seriously consider partial bath renovation - so the quote should also cover replacement of the one piece bath unit (plus removal of the old one).
The bathroom is pretty small, approx 5 by 8 feet.
I have a small bathroom (5ft x 6 1/2ft) that requires total reno, all fixtures, tub, toilet and vanity as well floor and wall tile. This is for a senior so a higher seat toilet and grab bars will be required. Vanity is small 16"X 30"
I will do the removal of existing fixture, vanity , wall and floor covering right down to the studs to provide a clean start.
Schedule is key as it is the only bathroom in the sleeping area. Once started I expected a sustained effort to complete in as few days as possible
Bathroom is 8'x5'5". Looking to do the following:
- remove all tiles on wall, floor, ceiling(above tub) and install new tiles
- replace vanity + faucet
- replace toilet
- bathroom layout not changing
I'm looking for a quote on labor. I will supply materials (tiles, vanity etc)
Thanks
OBJECTIVE:
We'd like to renovate a second floor bathroom in our 60's house.
DESCRIPTION:
The bathroom is approx. 73 in. wide and 99 in. long. As you enter the bathroom, to the right there is a 73 in. wall-to-wall custom built-in vanity cabinet with 2 sinks and arborite top. A wall-mounted, 4-bulb light fixture over the sinks illuminates the sinks and whole bathroom. Opposite the vanity is a shower stall and toilet. The shower stall is approx. 40 in. wide by 39 in. deep, is ceramic-tiled on 3 sides with a glass door opening towards the vanity, an overhead light is in the centre of the shower ceiling. The toilet is the standard distance from the wall behind it. The floor is is vinyl (?) tile, the walls are papered. (Please see attached PDF for non-scale diagram of existing bathroom.)
NEEDED:
1) Replace the vanity top, sinks, and fixture (and feeds and drains as required).
2) Replace light fixture (replace fan, tbd)
3) Replace/redo shower (walls, fixtures, light, etc.)
4) Replace floor (material tbd)
5) Replace toilet (water efficient toilet will be provided, installation only)
6) Materials to be of good (not necessarily premium) quality
7) All debris to be removed by contractor minimizing debris and dust outside the renovation area
NEXT STEPS
1) Preliminary "order of magnitude" estimate based on info above, asap
2) On-site visit to refine requirements, choose materials, determine schedule, prepare a firm quotation
3) Checklist (licenses, insurance, references, payment arrangements, etc.)
4) Negotiate price, sign contract, execute work, when done review deliverables against contract
We are prepared to begin and execute this project immediately. We look forward to reviewing the requirements and preliminary estimates over the next few days.
Thank you,
Greg

Hi,
I am looking to renovate the main bathroom of my house. It is located in the basement of the house. The dimensions are 5'11 x 6'. I want to demolish the whole bathroom first because water has been leaking for years and start from fresh. I think there is a possibility to add an extra 2 foot by replacing a double laundry sink by a single one. I want a shower (probably a 1-piece shower that comes with doors and everything to save money), vanity and toilet, and possibly some storage if there is room for that. There currently isn't any vent or heating in the bathroom and I want that hooked up too.
I am open in terms of finishing, probably ceramic floors and half-wall.
I would like to get quotes and start the project soon enough to have everything done before October. Ideally, the construction phase would be done in a few weeks only to minimize disruptions and because it is the main bathroom.
Thank you for your time!
Typical 5 x 8 condominium bathroom. Building approximately 30 years old.
Floor tiles and shower wall tiles need to be removed.
Shower valve needs replacing.
New tub required.
New floor tiles and shower wall tiles need to be installed.
New vanity and sink with faucet need to be installed.
New toilet required.
Looking for marble or porcelain floors ( approx 30 sq ft).
Ceramic on shower walls.
Please advise if you require further info.
Regards,
Paul
The plumbing comprises building the rough-in for the washer/dryer in the location specified in the drawing. To get the supply of water for the washer/dryer we can branch to the supply lines that service the powder room below. The supply for cold water to the toilet already passes above the bathroom ceiling to reach the toilet from the opposite side. We can do the same for the hot water.
For the drain we need to connect to the same stack as built so we can pass the drain across the first floor ceiling as shown in the drawing.
The H.V.A.C. should be very straightforward with the bulk of the work being the removal of a lot of excess duct work. The only additions will be the installation of individual exhaust fans for the bathrooms (highlighted in pink) in lieu of the dual acting fan in the as-built, a wye branch to combine the exhaust lines of the bathroom (highlighted in green) and finally a dryer exhaust fan and lint trap (highlighted in blue).
The added room from the moving of the washer dryer should allow us to expand the bathroom to include a walk in shower in addition to a new tub.
We're looking to remodel our downtown condo bathroom which is currently a 3 piece and we're looking to convert the tub to a walk-in shower. We'd also like to change our vanity and have a new ceiling fan installed with switch relocated from outside to inside the bathroom.
We're not fussed about high-end finishes as we'd prefer a practical solution without breaking the bank! Timetable is flexible and we are not in a hurry to get the job done as we'd prefer to find the best fit for the job as opposed to the first available.
Appreciate any feedback and offers!
