Troubleshoot water seeping down wall from bathroom tub directly above another bathroom below, where over time, caused damaged to the tiled ceiling of the tub direct below.
1. Need to find long term solution to water seeping through tub-tile wall crevices (recaulking did not seem to solve problem);
2. Repair the damaged ceiling, re-tile ceiling or paint to finish.
Hi,
I am looking for some help with a few washroom repairs.
1) Dry wall repair (3 holes of approx 2ft by 2 ft, and 2 holes of approx 6inch by 6inch)
2) Floor sideboard repair (was detached from the wall after removing the vanity)
3) Reinstallation of a bathroom vanity (I can hire a plumber separately for the faucet installation if you are unable to do it)
4) Mirror frame reinstallation
5) If you can do simple plumbing, faucet installation
Looking for a quote for all this work including expected timing to complete the work.
Thanks,
Quinntin
Bathroom is about 8 feet by 4 feet. I need caulking done on tub, new showerhead. I may need to replace tiles are they are coming up and there is some mould. It is a new bathroom but the job on floor wasnt done well. I believe there is wood underneath and it is wet. I was getting some leakage through ceiling, but I think it may have been broken shower head was spraying alot of water out of bathtub.
I have a few bathroom repairs to be made on a 1 bedroom condo unit.
1) My toilet sometimes leaks from the handle when it is flushed. I don't want to replace the toilet if possible, just fix the leak please.
2) My shower faucet is not secure on the wall and the switch on it for directing the water to the shower head is very difficult to open and close. I think it is related to the faucet head not being secure (attached picture of how faucet head can be rotated).
3) I would like to replace the shower handle with one that can specify hot and cold water separately from pressure. Currently it is just a handle that rotates between hot and cold and anything not extremely cold is on at max pressure. Please let me know if I should buy the new handle or if you would normally get one.
I would like to use a single contractor so if you need to take the tiles off the shower wall to fix the faucet head and/or replace the handle I would really appreciate it if you are able to also put them back on or use some of my extra tiles and put them on. If you know of a good contractor who would come in for such a small tiling job then I would be fine with that too.
Had a contractor renovate a bathroom. Screwed up somewhere as shower leaks. Has tried a couple of simple solutions but hasn't worked. Third idea was to tear up base of shower. Now he doesn't want to because it is too expensive - he doesn't want to pay.I do not have much faith in him. Need advice . Will pay for consultation which could possibly lead to completing the renovation.
I need to replace the tiles in the shower area, approximate 58 sq.ft.
Also to be replaced: shower and tub fixtures and toilet.
Bathtub - still in consideration.
No glass door (ignore glass door shown in picture).
Location is downtown, one bedroom condo at Front/Jarvis.
Thanks.
Have two condo units in downtown toronto that need water damage repair
1. First one needs simple drywall and baseboard replacement to repair existing water damage. Resealing of tiles as necessary
2. Second one requires some investigation. It could be due to shower liner leak or damage from pet urine on hardwood. Needs resealing of shower as well as hardwood replacement.
Please see pictures. I am looking for a second opinion on a quote I have received.

Looking to update, freshen up 7' x 7' bathroom:
- Replace tub and toilet
- Install new tub/shower fixtures
- Recaulk tub/shower enclosure
- Install new vanity light and fan (already wired) and shower light
- Remove and retile floor
- Repaint upper walls (lower already tiled), ceiling
- Remove all construction debris
*Owner to supply new tub, toilet, plumbing fixtures, tile, fan and lighting.
Home is located in East York (st. Clair and O'Connor, Toronto and is approx. 50 yrs. old)
1st Bathroom-new floor ? porcelain tile(32sq ft), new faucet and cabinet for vanity, internal parts of toilet need replacing, hot/cold reversed on tub and new hardware for tub.
2nd bathroom-new floor (porcelain tile) (45 sq ft), replace corner shower 3x3 ft., new counter top (granite-probably will be done by the people we purchase the granite from...so the work needed will be to make sure the cabinet can support the granite), vessel sink and faucet.
Kitchen-38 sq ft. backsplash (porcelain tile or natural stone) to be installed.
I would be most interested in someone who could do all of these jobs instead of different contractors for different things.
Wish list depending on budget: heated floors in both bathrooms, backsplash on one bathroom wall upstairs and heated towel rack installed.
Contractor: Must be non-smoker, not allergic to cats (we have one).
I'd like to upgrade the fixtures in my bathroom. I have a condo bathroom. The condo is 24 years old.
Bathtub, tiles around bathtub, showerhead / faucet fixtures and a glass shower door of some sort vs. shower curtains. Also, new vanity (27" wide) with fixtures, new mirror & lighting fixture to something more energy efficient but also, appealing. I'd also consider new floor tiles and wall tiles to get a newer looking vision of a bathroom but with a classic look which last through the years and not get easily dated.
I am looking to upgrade my main bathroom as I'm selling my home soon. I would like the shower re-tiled (55sq.ft.), the bathtub refinished, a new vanity installed (must be less than 21" wide) and new showerhead and hardware for the shower. I have access to Moen showerheads and taps at a good price if helpful. Home is near Gerrard and Greenwood and is around 100 years old. Bathroom is my main concern but also need, a new butcher block counter top in kitchen (small kitchen, counter about 6ft x 2.5ft w cutout of sink)nand the original hardwood floors refinished (2 areas of 13x10ft). Looking to get all the work done as soon as possible and would prefer someone who can provide phone numbers for references. Thanks.
I hope to be buying a condo soon (Etobicoke). This is what needs doing.
Bathroom: there is no light in the bathroom, but a back-lit medicine chest. I need proper vanity lighting installed above the sink - will provide. Also, need an additional medicine chest installed and existing chest moved. Mirror needs to be hung on one wall
Bedroom : There is no light in the bedroom, not sure of number of wall jacks. Would like to purchase two plug in wall sconces. Possible additional shelving in main bedroom cupboard? Picture or mirror to be hung on one wall.
Lounge: possible additional shelving in foyer cupboard. Pictures need to be hung
Foyer : Mirrors/picture need to be hung.
IKEA furniture assembly - various

Bathroom walls are in rough shape from moisture; we want to hopefully install a bathroom vent/fan but the necessary space may not be available in the ceiling the way everything is shaped. So that may take some figuring. Looking for someone familiar with older houses with illogical placement of basically everything.
Not looking to start until second week of May, most likely.

Hi,
This is for a semi detached, 2 story home.
Looking to add powder room (the smallest possible toilet and sink) to main floor. Need to determine location, frame it. Quote with and without Rough ins. (We will finish it and install fixtures, would like to possibly buy toilet and sink ourselves once layout and measurements have been determined)
Looking to remodel existing bathroom on second floor, would like to make it bigger and also re arrange the position of 4 pcs - would like it to be walk in shower and a separated soaker tub (the smallest possible 44x28 or similar). Quote with and without rough ins -
Want tile floors and shower wall, glass to partially divide walk in shower from rest of bathroom. Want quote with and without fixtures, would like to have the option of buying own tiles and fixtures, once lay out and measurements are defined.
I need to have a chip and a crack repaired in my condo's off white bathtub. The chip is on the horizontal flat edge of the bathtub and is about 1/4" square. The crack/dent is on the floor of the bathtub and is about 3/8" long, 1/16" wide. The caulking along the edges of the bathtub needs to be redone. The bath faucet is slightly loose, needs recaulking, and the shower/bath diverter is sticking.
Thank you!
