How much would it cost to build a deck as per the photos?
With :
No Privacy Walls or Railings
Pressure Treated .
The deck picture would be my first choice.
You can also provide a sketch of deck that you think would look good and that is less expensive than my first choice.
I am looking for aggressive pricing as it is the end of summer season.
Currently has a tumbled stone entrance, unfortunately falling apart due to poor installation/workmanship...not interested in repeating mistake.
Looking for a concrete finish this time, may consider patterned concrete or a combination of concrete/tumbled stone - tbd.
I am in the huntingwood & warden area, only serious contractors with good refereces will be considered, thanks.
Need a quote for building a new deck. Include materials + labour. Not sure on wood type yet. Please suggest a decent cheap material. Approx 200 sqft of flat deck + 7' x 7' main floor landing + 3' x 3' 2nd floor landing with 2 run staircase to main floor deck. 2 mud rooms pictured will be removed prior to starting your work. Please email me to receive the drawings and pictures pdf.
Thanks
Ryan
House is 5 years old on irregular pie lot. Current builder's deck is 10 steps high. Looking to have a 2 tier deck built by summer 2014 with top quality composite decking material, cedar pergola, glass railing, bult in lights, and storage shed underneath top tier with water sealed ceiling. Top tier should be ~60 sq ft; bottom tier should be ~100-150 sq ft and irregular shaped or 5-sided.
Brace the porch roof and porch floor, knock down existing masonry and timber column and replace with new 6x6 pressure treated column. Anchor column into existing foundation, and frame into porch floor and porch roof. I will handle disposal of demo materials. I will be replacing the porch guards and soffit later so no need to be careful with demo. Masonry portion of existing column is roughly 7' high and timber portion is roughly 4' high, new column will need to be roughly 11' high. Please respond with price and possible start date.
I would like to replace 19 floor boards and three steps on my front porch. I wish to keep the railings and the support structure under the floor, unless a problem is found. The porch floor is about 8' by 8'. I believe the current boards are pressure treated 2"x6" s
I also want to replace the deck boards of the back patio. (13.5 ft x 12)
I have chosen Azek Harvest Collection - Oak Island Colour, for the front porch
I have chosen Azek Vintage Collection - Cypress colour for the back deck
Front and back pictures are attached.
We need the front steps replaced that lead to the front porch/door. Each step is approx. 11" by 46" and about 7-8" high.
I need 4 steps with all backing replaced with pressure treated wood, the steps I would like to be 1 1/2" thick if possible, currently they are 1".
We have an 85 year old home that has a small concrete porch (58" deep by 96"wide currently) with no overhang, a concrete walkway and concrete (mutual) driveway with parking pad. We would like to have a wooden porch with a shingled roof constructed in place of the old one. (We are open to the option of covering the concrete one up, however we want the new porch to be a little longer on one side and shorter on the other and we'd like to move the stairs to the right a little bit so this may not be an option.)
In addition, we would like to create a new walkway that is flush with the driveway height (currently it is raised and level with the grass). This might require some kind of retaining wall to border the lawn. We are open to suggestions of how to do this but at this point are most interested in some kind of interlocking stone.
We are looking to work with a contractor who has done porches like this in the past, can offer advice and options, will draw up a plan prior to starting, and - ideally - who can also handle (or if not, coordinate) the associated walkway/landscaping work.
We are looking for quotes at this point with the hope of completing this project by summer, although our timing is flexible.
I've attached a pic of what the house looks like right now, and one of a porch similar to what we would like.
We want to do some improvements in our townhouse and would love if you could give us an estimate.
We would like to built a deck in the backyard and also replace the ACT ceiling in the basement for drywall.
Backyard:
- Replace the corrugated PVC sheets
- Deck size: 15 x 12.
Basement:
- Replace ACT ceiling for drywall
- Install two new light and swich
- Install new door
I am attaching some pictures and a PDF plan for basement work for your reference. Let me know if you need more details.
Could you give me two separate estimates for the two jobs (including materials and labour).
Also, in terms of schedule, how long do you think it would take? When would you have availability for it?
Only contractor providing an estimate will be contacted.
Thanks,
Mar
Would like a quote to install an outdoor, low level deck on handi blocks. nothing too fancy, but 15 x 20 feet.
Project is in a townhouse, and would be flush to the house. Most of the back yard is cleared and might need some leveling, but I'm thinking handi blocks (similar to concrete deck blocks) would allow for minimal work.
I would like to install a weed cloth as well.
Quotes are welcome and i'm willing and able to assist in most/all of the labour as well.
We are looking for a contractor to build a stone patio in our backyard. The project involves the following:
- remove the old stone patio, which is approximately 9 x 7 feet in size
- disconnect the old down-spout
- remove a small area of concrete (the concrete encloses a flower-bed area beside the old stone patio) (approximately 2 feet long and 4 inches wide)
- install the new patio stones (Stone-link patio rectangular patio stones in a brick pattern) for approximately a 9 x 10 foot area.
- the installation is to include laying the appropriate substrate for the stones.
We are looking for a contractor with experience with stone patios who can do a quality job to be completed sometime in next few weeks. There are currently a lot of ants under the old patio stones and we would like the contractor to use a substrate that would reduce or eliminate the ants from the area under the stone patio. Quotes do not need to include the cost of the stones but should include picking up the stones to bring to the site. Our house is in the west end (High-Park) area of Toronto. Thank you.
I have the building permit already. The deck is raised, about 9 feet and would be 29 feet in width by 10 feet long. I would like to use pressure treated lumber. No stairs going down from deck. I am looking for an estimated cost of work. The house is a new build. There is a lumber yard around the corner from where I live. Ordering the necessary material and delivery is easy.
I am interested in having a patio installed in my backyard but would like to inquire regarding price point etc. first.
- Patio Size: 18'-0€W x 10'-0€D
- Tile or concrete Size: I am looking for a white or light grey tile/concrete that is 12€ x 24€ (I want it to have a clean concrete look.)
- Walking path will be approximately 8 - 10 of the same style tile/concrete, installed into our existing sod.
We have already excavated the area where the patio will be, but it will require some preparation in order to be made ready to receive the new tile or concrete. If you can advise a rough price point would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
The tree at the edge of the Patio has uprooted the Patio slabs resulting in a slope; the slabs have to be removed, refilled and relevelled with good materials and sealers ; the tree roots beneath may have to be levelled as well. The square footage is around 260 square feet and contains the 2 by 2 ft patio slabs.
We would like an ONLINE preliminary estimate on the Patio relevelling uprooted by a tree measuring around 260 square feet with good quality materials from 2 contractors. The same slabs 2 ft, by 2 ft will be used. The time frame for the project depends on weather conditions. We prefer contractors with a good track record and a member of the BBB
back patio currently has a rotting overhang structure
-project would entail rebuilding (to code) the overhang
size - 15ft W X 10-15 ft long
frame - pressure treated wood
-posts - 6X6 preferred
-frame/trusses - 2X6 single pieces
roof - shingle
We want to replace a set of windows in our dining room with patio doors, and at the same time install a new patio with paving stones. Since the site is directly above a basement window, we are considering wrought iron steps with a mesh design to let as much light as possible get to the basement. We are also considering replacing another set of windows (upstairs, above the other project) with a sliding door and a railing. We live in a 1500-sq ft semi-detatched house in east-central Toronto. It was built in 1958 and is virtually unchanged. Note that there is a very tall TV antenna tower directly behind our house, very close to the windows in question. It may have to come down. We are hoping to get this work done before winter sets in.
I need all grass removed from my backyard (appro 25 X 32), and a retaining wall built, and a patio (either concrete, or interlocking stone, or paving, or whatever it takes to make it maintenance free and will allow fr patio tables and chairs to be used properly, etc...
Thanks in advance for your time and responses.
Our front lawn is about 650 square feet (35 ft long by 17/22 ft wide) which we would like resodded, and 2-3 ft flower beds with mulch flowing around about 75% of the permimeter - no edging required for the flower beds.
The back lawn is about 2000 square feet (41 ft wide by 50 ft long). We would like to create a paver patio across the width of the house (approx 30 ft) by about 16 feet deep (about 480-500 square feet). The patio would be at ground level and we have concrete steps going down to the ground level. The rest of the yard would be resodded, and flower beds with mulch along the sides (2-3 ft wide) and back (6-8 ft side) - there are cedars at the back which will stay - no edging required for the flower beds.
Our soil is quite sandy and level.
Access to the back yard is between houses and not wide enough for machinery (about 4 feet wide).
There are two basement windows that might be slightly below grade so we would install window wells, and you would need to work around them.
My patio is 650 square feet located in the Beaches....its on the 5th floor and looks South-West...in terms of condo rules, I cannot build a structure (like a gazebo) but can put down flooring, etc.
My dream patio would include a built-in barbeque station with outdoor type bar and hot tub.
currently it is just cement tiles.
This project includes the following:
* Relocate the entrance stairs to the side
* Build a curved walkway with interlocking stones
The end result would be symmetrical to our neighbors' walkway and stairs. The attached photo gives more idea of what needs to be done.
It would be great if you can provide an estimate using the photo or contact me to arrange a site visit.
Thanks in advance
