We have a detached garage that's about 25' x 14' that we'd like taken down. We've had raccoon problems with it, and it flooded last winter causing mold. It has an electrical box out there that will need to be terminated.
Optionally we'd also like the concrete pad removed if possible.
Hi there,
I have an old garage that must have been built by the previous owners, it's not in great shape. I think it would need to come down and a garage rebuilt in its place. I'm not sure what the laws are regarding this and what permit I would need but at this point i'm just trying to gather information and a quote.
A month ago I posted an ad to knock down my garage. I got about 10 great quotes through this site. They ranged in price between 3,600 cash and 7,000. The majority of quotes came through the range of 3,800-4,400.
I need my garage knocked down in the next 3 weeks. I need to add my wooden shed at the back. 10x10 wood.
I want to pay 3,800 for everything. Willing to pay cash for a better deal.
Remember there is a 2 inch cement base and everything in the garage and shed needs to be removed.
The electricity needs to be turned off and most quotes believe it is a one to two day job.
Who wants it?
Please email me.
I moved into a house in the Leslieville area about 3 years ago. There is a single standing wooden garage in the back towards the alleyway. I don't have a vehicle, so I haven't really used it except to put shovels in there. The ground isn't solid concrete, it is all rocks. The light doesn't work, and it's a complete mess in there. There is a wooden dresser drawer and a wooden standing closet. It has attracted racoons to live in there, and they have ripped apart all the insulation, but I've gotten rid of the racoons. The garage is made of wood and not brick. I would like an estimate as to the cost of this demolition and removal. I will try and add pictures later on. Thank you to all that respond.
We currently have a 20' x 22' peaked garage in our backyard that we would like to have demolished and removed. We have the demolition permit from the city.
- Garage is a two-car wood-frame structure in poor condition.
- Garage is in rear of house, with neighbour's fence at 2' off one side and protected trees off rear.
- Access is confined, can only be accessed around existing house with room for a 3' wide bobcat.
- Rubbish bin would be about 100' from garage.
- As an option, this may include the breakup of the concrete pad underneath and 2' wide sidewalks around 3 sides of the garage. We may elect to leave an approx. 300 ft2 area of the existing concrete behind. This would require 2 - 20' saw cuts to provide clean edges.
- Would want to dispose of some junk currently in the garage (shelving, metal studs, lumber, etc.)

As an optional item, would like to have priced separately the placement of topsoil and sod. Approx area of 40'x'20 still applies.

I would like to demolish it and rebuild later in the summer.
The garage was built on a (shifting & cracking) concrete pad, and I am not sure if excavating it is a separate job, but I am also looking for a quote for that.

A very old one car garage needs to be demolished (although if it provides significant savings I could do that myself) and replaced with a new one. This work includes redoing the base/foundation of the garage. The garage will be cladded with vinyl, we haven't yet picked a style.
The specifications are available on drawings that were prepared for permit application to city of Toronto.
My budget is $15,000, with very little to no cushion for overage. I will provide picture to those who wish to quote.
