I am closing on my house purchase 07/31/08. Location : Gerrard/Greenwood area. Bungalow style 1200 sqf aproximately, full basement (3 rooms and bath)and main floor (kitchen/bath/2 beds/dining/living/hallway). House is equipped with 2x60AMPs in panel. May need to be upgrade to 100AMPs as I will install Ductless AC unit or Space Pak, all appliances etc. I would like to know an estimate on this upgrade and if its necessary to do. Also, I'd need to install recessed lighting throughout basement (easy access as no wall/ceiling will be installed by my contractor after) and main floor (except beds), under kitchen cabinets lights and sofit over island, installation of island range hood, relocating/wiring for stove/cooktop, additional outlets and switches/dimmers in basement/main floor, /laundry-washer/dryer outlets, wall sconces x 2, exterior (garage/front entry door/back deck) lights installation.
I only have 3 weeks from 31/08 to complete the whole house renovations.
As we all homeowners look for, reasonble price, good quality and trust are important for this project.
Thanking you in advance,
Nick
I have two lights in my backyard- one over the door that has a light switch and one over the patio that is a motion sensor with no light switch. I would like these to be reversed - I'd like to install a motion sensor light over the door, but have the patio light on a switch. Not sure how costly or complicated this would be?
Also, have an interior wall sconce that needs to be wired - the electrical box has multiple connections inside wiring our pot lights so i'm not sure how to wire the wall sconce fixture.
Would appreciate some ballpark estimates. Not in a huge hurry to get this done, but if the price is right, would love to get these fixed!
Thanks

Hello,
We are moving and are taking two light fixtures with us. One is a light chandelier hanging from a 16 ft. ceiling in the hallway. This light fixture is not heavy and the hallway is wide so no obstructions.
Another light fixture is in the dining room. The ceiling height is normal but this one is a bit heavier since it is a brass chandelier.
We would like to limit this to 7 quotes - We are available for removal today between 1 and 3 pm, or this evening between 6 and 9 pm, tomorrow Wednesday during the day between 8 am and 3 pm, or Friday between 9 and noon.
We live in etobicoke - islington/eglinton. If the job is done well, we are moving into our next house and will contact the same electrician to have the lights re-mounted.
My toilet on the main floor was flooded from a blocked toilet and buckets of water seeped through some cracks on the floor into the basement and dripped into electric wires next to electric panel box. Thankfully to God alone, no short-circuit took place. I need someone to assess if any damage has been done to wires and to provide solution that if there is flooding another time, there is no such risk involved (the water does not drip on electric wires or around electric panel) or how to insulate the entire area and probable solution of sealing the floor above tightly minimizing the flooding of the basement.

We have some pot lights that seem to have been poorly installed. Bulbs are constantly being replaced and for some of the pot lights, the dead bulbs are too difficult to get out. Some of them just don't work at all.
I also have a light fixture that is placed in such a way that I can't get the dead bulbs out.

Hello,
I think I've blown a fuse possibly. I live in a condo (approx 600 sq ft), and to a certain area of my place the ceiling lights won't work, the fire alarm won't work, etc... basically anything that requires electricty that is in the ceiling
I try to flip the breaker, but it keeps flipping off so something is wrong there.
I can send you a picture of the electric panel if that helps?
Thank you
