Hi there!
Both of my bathroom fans are getting very loud the longer you keep them on and I think one in particular is on its’ last leg. The building is 18 years old and not sure if the previous owners ever replaced them.
What would be a good quality fan? Brand? What is the cost of each fan? I want a quiet but powerful fan. Is it important to take into account the square footage of the bathrooms for the fan size or is it standard?
How long is installation? I saw a video and it doesn’t appear to take more than 20min to install. I might be wrong. Am I looking at 1hr labour and the cost of two fans?
How much would this be in total for both bathrooms?
Also, my dryer is making a clicking noise when working. It’s a stackable washer and dryer (2-in-1) vertical unit (washer on bottom, dryer at the top). Brand: “Frigidaire Heavy Duty Super Capacity 2 Speed Combination”
Which part do you think needs to be replaced? What do you think is wrong with it? Cost of part and labour? Repair time?
Side note: We had a lint removal service for the dryer and after the guy did it, the bottom washing machine portion now makes more of a vibrating noise (when the washer is on and also when the dryer runs) as he opened up the panel between the washer and dryer (as they are connected). The machines were more quiet before he opened that panel (loose screws or not screwed back properly?). Very frustrating. Any diagnosis on what went wrong with the lint removal? When I dry clothes, I need to open the washing machine lid otherwise it makes a lot of noise when closed. The building organized this service and I think the guy was inexperienced. Very disappointed. Should have been a simple procedure with no complications.
Advice and quotes please!
Thank you!

We are considering replacing our oil furnace with a gas furnace and updating our air conditioner. There may be a need to run some new duct work for this project, in order to efficiently move warm/cool air to the appropriate parts of the house.
Our home is about 1300-1400 square feet and we would like to go with a high efficiency furnace and air conditioner.
Please let me know what it would cost to install a furnace and air conditioner, possibly one or two new ducts (replacing runs currently in place), and whether or not I would need to buy the furnace/ air conditioner in advance of the project.

I'm the property owner and my house is a bungalow. A kitchen renovation was done approximately 3 years ago and new outlets were added. 2 new GFCI outlets were added in the kitchen at that time and are on the same circuit. One of them recently trips off.
I'd like to have the GFCI fixed and the 2nd one checked to be sure.
Hi There,
I have just moved into a new home in a new area and there are a few things that I need to take care of before the winter comes!
(1) Grass/Lawn Maintenance & Gardening
(2) An Electrician to see the place before winter and set up timer lights
(3) There is an above ground swimming pool with a wooden deck built around it. We need someone to tear down the wooden deck and take it to a junk yard.
Thank you very much in advance.

we are moving into a new condo and require a number of pot lights (approx 45 to 50) to be installed along with associated switches (dimmers) and circuits (13). The main living room / dining room has 17 foot ceilings and there will be approx 17 lights installed on the ceiling. The building is Tip Top Lofts so if you have experience with installing ceiling lights in this building that would be beneficial.
I want to take a qualified contractor into the unit to see it and provide a final quote. This viewing will take place within the next week. Work to commence the first week of February.
I have numerous projects that I would like to do before year-end.
1) add additional wiring for basement electrical outlets in 2 room.
2) reinforce joists as they are sagging due to water damage from upstairs bathroom and joists were cut.-basement
3) I have a drop ceiling that I need reattached to the walls (I previously had a foundation leak which has been repaired)
4) build 2 closets in 2 basement rooms
5) remove broken tile from basement bathroom and replace
6) remove microwave shelf from basement and relocate
7) install outdoor security system to house - its wireless so I just need it installed to the house - 2 cameras only
9) change dryer vent cover
10) change wired door bell
11) I need several joist repaired or sistered up due to previous plumbing cut into the joists. The floor is sagging on the main floor where the toilet & sink was previously. basement
12) I also need a wall removed and brought back to the original floor plan. 1 closet expanded and a linen closet built-main floor
Looking for an electrician to install some hanging track lighting in a new gallery space. The space is 2000 square feet with an 18 foot ceiling so the track lights would need to be hanging. Probably need to hire a scissor lift for install. Unfortunately I don't have the exact dimensions of the space but it is approximately rectangular with 3.5 walls that need to be lit - roughly 134 feet of track in total. The building is a brand new retail space on the ground floor of a condo building. There are plenty of lighting fixtures already in the ceiling.
Please contact me with a detailed estimate including cost of materials, lift hire and labour. I can provide photos of the space via email if that helps.
Regards,
Marjan
We are doing a 2 story addition to our house and need someone to do the design and the work for heating, plumbing and electrical. We also want to add air conditioning and was told that high velocity AC is the way to go. We currently use water heater for heat and would like to keep that for heating and just hoping to add AC. For plumbing, the addition will have 2 new bathrooms. How much would it cost us?

There is some knob and tube that needs replacing and likely a panel upgrade. The house is a detached 2 storey plus basement apartment brick home.
