I have an electric box on my ceiling but it does not connect with the wall switch and I can't go behind the cement walls in my apartment. I heard there was a way to control the lighting fixture using a wireless switch. I contacted one online retailer and was given the advice in the chat pasted below. I am prepared to purchase the products they recommend. But I am also open to other ideas. Ideally I'd like to find someone with experience with this kind of issue or comfortable to work with it. The light fixture will be a rail light kit with 4-5 pendants coming down.
Here is the chat:
[Michael] I have an electric box in my ceiling but it is not connected to a wall switch. How can I get a fixture on my ceiling and make it work with remote control? Do you have such a solution?
[Ryan C] Hello Michael. My name is Ryan C. I will be assisting you today.
[Michael] Hi
[Ryan C] You can wire a micro module such as this into the ceiling boxclick here C] And that can be controlled by a Mini Remote such as thisclick here
I have NG into the house running the furnace and hot water tank. These units are at the one end of the kitchen, in the basement. The kitchen is on the ground floor above. The stove will be on the floor above on the opposite end of the kitchen, about 15' away. There is a crawlspace under the kitchen with access. I want an NG line run from the furnance or water heater, under the crawl space and up into the kitchen into the stove. the stove is a 24" 27,000BTU/H. the job is pretty straightforward as the gas run is pretty direct (T joint near the water heater, 15' straight through the crawlspace and up into the kitchen through the floor). however the crawlspace access might be a problem as there is a pile of dirt in it. i wanted to get in there and rake it down but as of yet have not. looking at it, it should be ok for this job but you'll have to take a look and see. im looking for someone with the appropriate (G2?) license for this job.

I'm a loft owner and have 3 large independent pendant lights that I would like hung in the kitchen, with a single junction box in the concrete ceiling (9 ft). If possible, I would like them all to go into the single box without requiring additional holes.
Each of the pendant lights is approximately 16.5" wide by 14.4" high, and comes with a 12 ft field-cuttable cloth cord, and a canopy plate that would only accommodate a single cord - I ordered a black plate that will accommodate 3 cords.
However I also need 3 ceiling hooks, and I'm not sure what to get.
I've attached 3 images for reference:
cord.jpg shows the lighting cord and the current plate, which needs to be replace
kitchen-scale.jpg shows the scale of the kitchen, lights, and kitchen island that it will be overtop
off-center-pendants.jpg shows the overall layout/position I'd like the lights to be: off center from each other and the kitchen island, and additionally I'd like the lights hung at different heights (the center being the lowest)

Living room approx 300 sq ft / Kitchen - dining room approx 300 sq ft. Rooms currently have track lighting. Need existing "popcorn" ceilings removed and replaced with drywall, install recessed lighting in Living room, 6 ft. hallway and Kitchen (12-15 lights) and replace ceiling overhead light in Dining room (fixture supplied). And install detail work lights (4) over kitchen counters (Fixtures supplied) * May have leftover knob/tube type wiring in ceilings, so that will have to be replaced as well.
There is wall where we'll be hanging some sports memorabilia and want to highlight them with some lighting. There is electrical on the wall because theres 1 wall lamp. We want to either put spot lights at the top corner to shine on the frames or convert a pot light into a normal light fixture to place a spot lights ( or just add spot lights on the ceiling). Whats the cost of either of these 2 options in terms of installation? And which is easier and most cost effective.
