The power outlet (located next to exhaust pipe) for the over-range microwave does not have electricity. I checked the fusebox and nothing was thrown. I also reset the fuse switches and still no go: the problem is localized to that one faulty power outlet as all other outlets in the apt work. I suspect that a faulty diode from within the microwave may have caused the outlet to get damaged and malfunction. I have since replaced the diode and the microwave works fine (using another outlet).
Please help solve this problem and provide your price/time estimate with max cap. I assume that only the faulty outlet needs replacing but I am not entirely sure since I am just a layman. Thank you!
PS:
My microwave suffered a blown diode with a spark coming out of the control panel and had no power afterwards: this somehow caused the power outlet to no longer have electricity. Please see 2 photos for more info.
I have a few relatively minor jobs needed to be done, which include the following:
- Installation of two ceiling fans
- Installation of digital thermostat
- Installation of light dimmer
- Removal of one kitchen cupboard (the cupboard is too low to fit our fridge underneath of it and we eventually want to do the kitchen anyway, so the cupboard really isn't a concern)
- Installation of new kitchen faucet
- Fixing one french door
Please provide a quote and the estimated time it will take to complete this work.
Hi! I recently added a hot tub to my backyard, but it requires heavy duty electrical (220 not 120), so I'd like a quote to add an outlet outside near it. My basement is unfinished, so running wires is very easy. I would like to do this ASAP, so please don't quote if you are too busy.
Thanks!
Johnny
Good Morning,
I have a small outlet (for a sound control) in the bathroom that needs to be fixed.... Every time we purchase a component piece it is too wide to fit in the space between the wall... The space is between the wall is 2 1/4"... I either need someone to come and replace the sound control, replace it with a blank cover or drywall over the hole. My condo is located in downtown Toronto and I am looking to get this fixed as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Tania

Hello,

I have recently moved into a renovated house at Bloor and Christie. The duct that is currently installed in the double brick interior wall is too small and in the wrong location for the range hood we have purchased. We need a new, 6 inch duct installed in the centre of the wall space over the gas range and then we would like the hole for the old duct filled in with brick (we have the extra bricks). We would then like to have the range hood installed.
If you are interested, please let us know an estimate for the work. It may be a small job but we are likely to have more work in the future (backyard deck to be built, basement to be finished, roofing work in the spring). We would be a great long term customer if we're satisfied with the work.
100 year old house needs range hood installed over gas stove. Old, unused chimney directly behind stove. Must figure out a way to vent, either directly back through brick wall or in bulkhead above cupboards and out back wall. We will buy range hood, just need it installed. Needs electrical brought through from basement to be hard wired as well.
Hi there.

I am the owner of a townhouse at Dundas West and Dupont Ave. I have purchased 7 overhead lights which need to be installed. 6 of those have existing fixtures which will need to be removed. Also, the electricity in the sub-basement has to be restored. I am ready to do this, and I have the budget.
Thanks,
Jeff
