As neighbors we share the path between the houses. Currently one gate opens into our shared yard. This fence will split the yard and so we want to replace the gate with two gates to enter into either yard.
Fence:
We're looking for 4 x 4 posts and then a 3.5 x 1.25 running sideways between posts and and then screening (? don't know the right word) to create the inside of the fence. 7 of the 4x4's
We're thinking 8 foot lengths of the 3.5 x 1.25 running between the 4 x 4's. The yard is approximately 48 feet in length ... so 12 (6 along top and 6 along bottom) of the 3.5 x 1.25.
Gate:
Two gates (3 feet in height) that sit securely between homes and attach to 3 x 3's adjacent to the house.
I have a property edge 4' chain link fence severely damaged by a fallen tree (more than half of the posts are bent). The tee was completely removed. I want the fence repaired or replaced, whatever makes more sense.
What I expect very urgent is:
1. a quote that I can sent to my insurance company
2. a schedule when the actual work can be done
Obviously, I would like the job t be done as fast as possible, but this is not the critical aspect today.
I would like to replace the fence shared with my neighbour.
Here are some details:
The section in question runs approx 50' and, since my yard is slightly higher than next door in some sections, there will need to be a retaining wall.
The retaining section is approx 15' and will max out at 2' high.
My preference would be to have posts in saddles rather than directly in concrete to reduce contact with ground. The fence itself shall be vertical boards with a 1x1(?) lattice on the top section.
The retaining wall can be simple Allan block as it will be behind the fence. I would expect gravel backfill to ensure proper drainage.
Happy to discuss further.
Regards,
David
My neighbour and I are looking to have the current chain link fence posts in cement blocks removed (if possible,) and have 6x6 pressure-treated posts installed, 4-5 feet deep with a few inches of 3/4 stone as a base and the rest filled with cement & sonotube. Budget-wise, another post hole business - too swamped to take on the job - did quote $550 over the phone (not including removal of current posts.) Neighbour and I would supply the posts. 10 posts in total (9 chain link fence posts + 1 wood post.)
I am interested in building a backyard fence with Micro-pro Sienna pressure treated wood. The length of the fence will be approximately 75ft. The style will be Shadowbox. The height will be 6ft. with 1ft. Privacy lattice on top. The posts will be 4x4 with caps on top, and I would like to use deck screws instead of nails.
Replacing an existing wood fence diving two backyards with details as follows:
Current Fence to be replaced: 36 feet x 6 feet high (built on grass with stakes and not sunk in concrete)
Possible: Extension: another 20 feet (on asphalt drive) to get to the back end of houses.
Would like concrete sunk posts (replacing stakes) and a quote for the 36' fence and a separate addon quote of the addition of possible 20' extension.
I would like to have a fence put up along (at least) one side of my yard. There is also the possibility of doing the other side and building 2 gates. The one side I will be paying for myself. The other side and gates would be split with a neighbour.
I would like a wooden fence, 6 ft high. The fence would go in front on the existing chain link fence on my side of the property line and should extend from the existing wooden partial fence all the way back to the corner of my garage as seen in the attached photos.
My wife and I are needing to get a fence and deck for our backyard done for this spring/summer.
Looking for a quote on the following work...
REMOVAL
- Existing fence
- Existing metal deck
- 3 cement footings at back of property (or can work around and pour new footings)
FENCE
- 130 ft privacy fence (6-6.5ft high)
- 6x6 posts
- Wooden gate for backyard entrance
- Pressure treated wood
DECK
- 6X6 platform deck from kitchen walk-out (approx 30 inches high)
- 3 stairs walking down to ground level
- Storage compartment underneath
- 125 sq ft ground level deck w small air to allow air
- Pressure treated wood
Approx. 30 ft straight fence between 2 backyards (fence at end of yards already exists) to replace wire fencing.
The fence needs to be approx. 6 ft tall with about 1 foot of lattice on top.
I need this project done asap - ie; if possible before this weekend? I know it is a tall order but the house is being sold and we need the privacy fence.
Please let me know if you can help!
I'm the owner of the house. The backyard has presently a chain Link fencing. I would like to have a wood fence installed as well as a gate to close access from the driveway to the backyard.
Required installation of 3 side fence, the estimated sizes are: Left side : 68 feet; back side: 16 feet and the right side : 38 feet.
I would like to have an horizontal wood (preferably cedar) fence or a metal frame/ wood fence. The left side would start at 8 feet height to provide more privacy for the deck sitting) and finish at 6 feet height with a gradual height decrease.
The driveway is 10 feet large and I would like to have a 2 door wood gate with porthole insert.
Looking for 95 feet in backyard wood fencing. 5 or 6 posts would be 6x6x14 (10 feet above ground), remainder would be 4x4x10 (6 feet). Fence would be finished to 6 foot height. Standard privacy fence; 4 foot deep holes for 10ft posts and ideally deeper for 14ft posts. Some dig accessibility / tree root issues as shown in pictures (may require concrete to be cut). Backyard fully accessible via laneway. Located in central Toronto - major intersection is danforth and broadview. Please note that my pricing expectation is between $35-$45 per foot (or let me know if i'm being unrealistic) dependent on quality of work and reviews.
Thanks.
We like to put a chain link fence infront of our house in Toronto. We like each post to be placed in concrete and the distance is around 50 ft..
For someone who knows what he is doing, it is a very straight forward project.
What would be the cost per feet? When would you do it and how long would it take?
I am located in midtown Toronto. My house backs on to an alley way.
I have a 19 foot fence and a 7'x7' shed. I need both demolished.
In it's place I am building a new fence. See pictures of new fence attached.
19 ft fence with the 3 - 6"x6" posts. 4 feet deep in ground.
Barn door aprox. 10 feet wide. Barn door using galvinized steel rail at top.
Stationary fence 9 feet wide.
Fence boards laid vertically on top of 2x4 structure.
Fence is 7 feet tall plus a beam on top for the rail.
I will provide all PT Lumber on site.
I can arrange for the posts to be installed as well.
I need demolition done and contractor/carpenter to build fence.
Supply and install approximately 24' of horizontal style fence along south side of property at 6' high, in pressure treated lumber.
Also attach rails to a deck (install only, already have materials for the wood rails).
Future fence work available after this job is completed satisfactorily.
If interested, please make sure to include what experience you have building fences and also any pictures you may have of your jobs.
Demolish old garage - trash container required.
Probably break up floor concrete and pour a new one - trash container required.
Build a complete garage with roof shingles, gutter, siding, automatic garage door; side door (35") and shelving. Install new wooden fence aprox 40 ft long.
We just had our laneway garage removed and we need a tall fence built to divide the laneway (and our parking pad) from our yard. We also need a gate so that we can access the backyard from the parking pad. We want a tall fence (ideally 6ft 6inches). We want to have this project completed asap.
*When responding please indicate when you can come to give an estimate (ideally Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday).
Would like to have a 65 long cedar fence put up, one side finished for the length of the fence and the other side finished for 40 feet of the fence. The fence will be 6 feet high and the boards to put horizontally. The cedar will also need to be finished after the fence is put up.
The old fence will have to be removed and discarded.
Specifications: 3 ft high, 31 ft long decoratve picket fence in cedar. The existing hedge will be removed by the owners. Land is ready to go. Just waiting for a willing contractor. The picture included is what we had in mind. We are open for other suggestions. Depending on price, we would like it painted. Colour to be determined.
Currently 26'x 4' fence on the east side of my property. Needs to be increased to 5' or 6' feet high.
On the west side of my property the 32' by 5' chain link needs to be replaced.
Looking for green chain link.
Would like to spend between $500 - $1000 but open.
Want it to be done asap.
I'm looking into installing a chain link fence and want to know the price for a 4ft high fence and 5ft high. If the price isn't that much more I would rather have the higher fence. The total length is 90ft and I also need a gate. There currently isn't a fence and would not need anything removed.
