We live in a city split-level condo townhouse where you walk in the front door and immediately walk up 13 stairs to get into our home. The stairs were previously covered in Burlap tan carpet and after eleven years of stains, wear and tear, we removed the carpet completely. Our original plan was to pain the tread and risers, but they are not completely smooth and only plywood not hardwood or veneer.
We are looking to cover the stairs with either:
a) hardwood stair tread cover,
or
b)veneer stair tread cover
or
c) carpet tread mats.
Our floors are walnut hardwood, so we'd stain the stair treads if we do not go with carpet tread mats.
Our stairs are 32.5" length x , which has been impossible to find. We do not own the tools to cut treads ourselves, and would prefer to have the job completed by a professional.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Good afternoon,
We recently removed furniture that was built into the flooring of our condo (we own) leaving gaps and strips of damaged engineered hardwood. (The longest strip of missing hardwood is 86" long.) Unfortunately, the previous owners didn’t leave us with any spare materials, so we’re hoping you have something that will match the existing floors and baseboards (photos with measurements attached). Is this a repair/replacement project you could please help us with?
Thanks for your time!

Hello,
I just bought my first bachelor unit in downtown Toronto (approx. 400 sq ft).
I would like to get the following flooring tasks done:
- remove carpet in the living area (approx. 250 sq ft)
- remove ceramic tiles in the kitchen and corridor (approx. 150 sq ft)
- replace all the space by laminate flooring
To be completed between Nov 14th - Dec 1st.
Thanks for providing me your estimates.
I've started the flooring in my condo. The tile is laid. It is Aprox 200 sqft. I will need the grouting completed and a few more tiles laid. They are slate and will need to be chipped away to be roughly levelled. The rest of the flooring is hardwood. One bedroom Aprox 100 sqft. The main room Aprox 300 sqft. these need to be finished with hardwood. I have all the supplies in the condo. I will need the job completed by August 13th.
Hi there, we have a condo, installation required for about 560 sf. The carpets have been removed. We were advised to leave base boards in and to use quarter round. The base is concrete. We are looking for a quote for the padding and floor installation including the quarter round.
Many thanks
This project is for a condo at Lawrence and Allen Rd. The condo is 560 sf. There is a living room and dining area connected, a den and one bedroom with a closet. We have the underlay and the flooring and we are looking for a quote for the labour for installing the floors and quarter round (we don't have this yet but can supply).
We would like someone that can provide us with a warranty for a few years, someone that has insurance and preferably someone that is licensed. We would also like someone that has experience doing floors and can provide some images and reference.
Please get back to me with a quote and we'll take it from there.
Best,
D
Unit inspection date: April 10th, Wednesday
Unit size: 850 sq/ft
Tasks: floor removal, floor installation, baseboard installation, kitchen cabinet renovation
Tenants flooded the unit by leaving the kitchen sink full of dirty dishes and the tap open. Their insurance company will cover most of the cost and the insurnace agent is asking me to get a quote.
The tenants are not best at keeping things in good condition so I'm looking for floor material which is inexpensive and durable.
I have booked an inspection with the tenants on April 10th, next Wednesday so the quote HAS TO happen on April 10th, regardless of what time.

Hello,
We'd like to install a new floor in our living room which is above grade. In order to do this, the current underfloor needs to be leveled because it's very bumpy and uneven.
Our project is leveling and fixing the floor and after that, depending on the solution, installing a new solid hardwood or engineered floor.
We are going to purchase the new floor.
I would like someone to remove the existing carpeting / under pad and install engineered hardwood flooring. The living room is 15x12, the bedroom is 9x12, the hallway is around 85 sq. ft, and there is a stairway. I can supply the material, or just have the contractor procure the supplies.
I also need a bathroom retiled. That can be a separate job or part of this job.
Need to replace carpet in downtown Toronto condo. Replacing with laminate flooring (underlayment to be installed as well). Approx 550 sq ft of flooring to be replaced. Transition strip also included.
We will require contractor to provide shoe moulding.
Our condo is fully furnished so project will require to move furniture during installation. There is kitchen island that should be moved as well to replace flooring underneath. Note there is a receptacle in millwork and will need to be removed prior to moving island.
We need to job completed from November 10 1:30pm to November 13 end of day.
Looking for engineered hardwood to be installed in 3 bedrooms, hallway and main living space (not including kitchen), approximately 650 total square feet. We do not need new baseboards but may need quarter round installed to fill some gaps. We will not be living in the space during construction period and there will be no furniture to move.
