Replace sub-floor + floor for existing finished bedroom in my basement approx. 225 square feet. Demolition is already done. Concrete may need levelling as it is uneven in places. Looking for functional, easy to maintain, durable floor - probably not natural materials, definitely not carpet (previous was laminate floating floor). Sub-floor would need to be suitable for damp environment (dri core or equivalent) though waterproofing has also just been done. Timing is immediate.

I need an online estimate for replacing flooring in an apartment. The area to be covered is 1000 square feet. The current flooring is carpet. I am looking into the following options for replacing it: hardwood flooring (engineered), carpet flooring, or vinyl flooring.
Underneath the current carpet flooring there is concrete (and maybe a foam cushion).
At this stage I am looking for online estimates only.
We've purchased a new home and would like to update the flooring on the main floor, as well as the kitchen counters and backsplash. We take possession on Nov 18 and would Ideally like the work done before we move in mid-December.
A few details:
- Total area to replace flooring is approximately 560 sq.
- Current flooring is hardwood throughout, and tile in the kitchen
- We would like to replace with wide plank, white oak throughout
- Approximate 14.5' of kitchen counter to be replaced
- Current counter is granite, we would like to replace with quartz
- There is currently a 'step up' (lip) on the kitchen peninsula that we would like to remove (so the whole peninsula is one flat surface). This would involve relocating 2 outlets. See photo for details.
- The backsplash would be replaced where it is currently located, and we would like to also cover the gap at the far end of the kitchen (next to the window in the photo).
Feel free to quote for just labour costs or 'all in'. We're okay to provide all materials but we're equally happy if this is included in the costs.
We have an old house that is over 100 years old. We would like to replace the floors on the second and third floors as well as repair some stairs on our staircase. We would like to see what it would cost to install new hardwood floors and some carpets in this area of about 1500 square feet. We would also like a quote to paint most of the interior of the house.
We will like to renovate the floors of our house.
Replace:
1- kitchen floor (14' x10') and backslash - actual floor are ceramics, and we will be putting click vinyl on the floor, and ceramics on backsplash
2- Living room (25' x11') and corridor floors. - actual floor is wood, and we will be putting click vinyl. We will not remove the existing floor.
3-Remove bathtub from washroom (8 "x6.50') and do the floor and backsplash with porcelain. Install a shower with acrylic base. - actual floor are ceramics.
Materials already purchased.
Please contact by e-mail to set up and appointment to view the place. Thanks

Hello, I have a condo unit located @ Adelaide St. East and Sherbourne in Toronto and require a contractor to assess some damage to the living room hardwood floor, then perform the required repairs.
Please get back to me via email as soon as possible and let me know your availability so we can discuss next steps.
Thanks,

We own a home with existing hardwood flooring that we are replacing. The new hardwood will either be real hardwood (about 3 inches) or engineered (5 inches) wide. Both 3/4 inch thick and will need to be nailed down.
Approximately 1200 - 1300 square feet over 2 floors.
We will need the existing flooring removed, new subflooring installed and the new hardwood floors installed. There are a few small areas where the floors are not perfectly flat - not sure if a little work may needed on joists.
Cost estimate - demolition to installation?
I am interested in having new solid hardwood installed on our 2nd floor, located near Broadview & Dundas, Toronto.
We are considering simply installing the new floor on top of the existing hardwood. It is about 525 sq ft of flooring.
Could you let me know your availability in the coming weeks for an installation and the rough cost per sq ft for the labour?
