I have a 1 bedroom condo in Downtown Toronto. I am planning to replace the broadloom in the living and bedroom with either good quality laminate (min 12mm) or Engineered hardwood. The coverage is approx. between 350sq ft. I am looking for quotes for both types:
- Laminate
- Engineered hardwood
The quotes should include (material, labor, removal of broadloom, etc.).
P.S. The condo corporation requires noise reducing underlay - 61dB impact insulation class.
References will be required before the job is awarded. Thanks,
Hello,
We would like to change flooring in the bedrooms for our condo apartment. There are 2 bedrooms that currently have carpeting - total of 230 sq ft. we would like to install laminate wood instead of the carpet. We can get the flooring from Lowe's or HD.
How much would the installation cost? We would ideally like to get this done by May 5th. If that's not possible, we would like to get it done during the week of June 3rd-June 8th.
We will remove the furniture beforehand, and if it helps, we can remove the carpeting too.
Please let me know as this request is urgent.
Thank you so much for all your help!
I would like to remove my carpet flooring and changed it into wood laminating flooring.
2 rooms in a downtown condo , totalling 450 sq. ft.
Prefer Quiet Walk for underlying material.
Both rooms have furniture.
Need help to dispose old carpet and padding.
How does the selection of laminating wood works?
Do I have the option to buy the wood myself and have it deliver or the contractor bring me samples to choose from?
Please give me an online estimate.
Hi,
We would like someone to lay some laminate floors boards (the fake hardwood ones from home depot) in our basement which is about 6 meters long x 5 meters wide. We also need our stairs carpeted as well (we will buy the carpet from home depot). The stairs are 3 feet wide and there are 11 steps. They go down into the basement in a straight line (standard stairs).
Thank you very much.
I would like to do a few things: new ceiling fixture in kitchen, new range hood installation, new vanity and fixture in the bathroom. The following items are dependent on how much it will cost: installing vinyl plank flooring throughout the living room, bedroom, and kitchen, painting. I would like to supply the materials.
The apartment will be empty.
Hi,
I am looking for a contractor to install 466 sq. ft of laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms and 73 sq. ft. of Vinyl planks in a sunroom. In addition, I need 211 linear feet of baseboards installed in those rooms.
Please let me know the price per sq.ft and per linear ft, how soon you could begin the job, and how long the job would take.
Thank you.
Would need someone to match existing laminate flooring, there are parts of the laminate floor being exposed to moisture therefore the floors are warped in certain areas. We would like someone to come replace the warped areas as soon as they can. This should be a quick and easy job.
Thanks,
Carol

We are considering placing new floors in the main floor of our older semi detached home(+/- 500 SF required).
Require a contractor to perform some light prep work on the floors, including:
(a) screwing/nailing down existing original floors to joists (in addition to one uneven floor section to be leveled)
(b) remove existing cork floor in the kitchen (+/- 50 SF not beneath cabinetry, only main area and appliances)
(c) install new quarter round (to include if price is reasonable)
(d) lay approximately 20 SF of tile at entranceway
(e) install natural maple flooring.
Only early morning appointments to view the project are available.
Select contractors will be contacted.
Thanks.
Removing existing hardwood flooring and replacing with new hardwood in living room, family room, dining room and foyer/hallway. Approximately 950 Square feet. Prefer a hard wearing material such as oak--in a neutral brown finish. Looking for a finish that is durable and low-maintenance.
Compare with the cost and time of refinishing the same square footage with existing hardwood flooring ~18 years old.
New laminate floor quote needed for condo. We currently live in the condo and would need to move stuff around to get this done. We already have replaced the floors in the bedroom so we would only need certain parts of the condo floor replaced. I’ve attached a picture of the original floor plan, however, the approximate area we are thinking Is about 400 square feet total
Please provide rough quotes , standard , mid grade laminate flooring is fine
We have a one bedroom apartment unit approximately 600 square feet. We need to rip out the old parquet flooring (46 years old) and replace it with laminate wood flooring. The baseboards need to be replaced and the sub flooring needs to be built. It is a three storey building with no elevator. The apartment will be empty.
Existing porch floor was pulled up and new floor (likely tongue and groove) needs to be laid. Then everything needs to be painted (porch floor, ceiling, railings, pilars, stairs. Most recent floor has been pulled up (as seen in pics) and newer floor just needs to be laid on top of the old one. Everything else is prepped for painting (sanded). Ceiling is new wood, stairs are new wood, just need painting.
It's 10 years old home and each room is fully carpeted. We like to remove the carpet and the padding and instal hardwood or laminate flooring. We have extra padding underneath the carpet. Does that mean do we still have to remove the base boards in order to install the hardwood or laminate flooring.
I am looking to remodel 2 bedrooms approximately 8x9
age of house before 1940
I would like to have rugs lifted and hardwood flooring placed with new wall molding. I believe that there is only linoleum under the wall-to-wall rugs. Walls and ceilings will require painting. Both are in good shape. New Bi-folding doors on both rooms and also on the 2 closet doors. I would also like to have ceiling lights in both bedrooms, as there is no light switch or fixtures in either room.
In one bedroom on one 1/2 wall there is a panel that would require to be taken down.
Between the 2 bedrooms there is a very small hallway approx. 3x3 that would need the new hardwood floor, painting and replacement of a new light fixture.
I am not sure of the materials but and estimated quote would be greatly appreciated.
This job is for my uncle who lives in Scarborough close to Pharmacy and Danforth and at this time are looking for online quotes only.
Thank you

Hello,
My name is Dave. We provide outdoor flooring for condo balconies, roof top patioos, and ground floor patios. We are currently looking for an installer to help us with our business. The installers must have good knowledge and skills with carpentry tools. Our installers must have the following:
1. WSIB
2. Insurance
3. Business License.
Should you be interested in this type of work, please let me know as we have several projects that we need assistance with. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Dave
I recently purchased a condo in downtown Toronto with a closing date of Friday, July 25, 2014. As such, I am looking for a contractor who can help with the renovation services below to take place on Saturday, July 26 and/or Sunday, July 27.
1) Painting
The entire unit is 750 square feet (1+1 with 2 bathrooms) and we will need to paint all the walls except in the 2 bathrooms.
2) Laminate Flooring
Not sure yet how many rooms we would like to add new laminate flooring on. This will depend on the price estimates.
However, for the master bedroom, we will definitely need to replace the carpet with laminate flooring (11 ft x 10 ft).
The rest of the unit has old laminate and we will decide if we want to replace the other rooms once we receive the price estimates.
Please provide a price estimate (all inclusive of labour, materials, delivery) and also indicate how long the work will take. We would prefer a contractor who can perform both services above.
Thank you in advance.
Vincent

Gas fireplace was recently removed from living room/dining room. Where the gas fireplace was located, I need someone to install new hardwood to match existing one in the room. Stain colour is not an issue as I want the whole living room/dining room to be restained in a darker shade once the new hardwood floor is installed. See attached pictures for better understanding of where the gas fireplace was located.
thanks
