The two house is in the Beach area of Toronto and is around 93 years old. Orginally there was a porch off the back of the house (walk out lot) and my guess as this was done many years ago is it was enclosed (basement level and 1st floor) and then another floor was added above it. When renovating the basement I opened up the walls in this section of the basement (under the addition) and discovered there was no foundation to speak of. What is required is to have a foundation put in. It has to be dug out, a footing put in and cement block foundation built up to the 1st floor of the house, the perimeter is 36 LF. There is a cement floor about 4 inches thick that would have to be removed. At this time the floor should be lowered about 4-6 inches to match the original house. There is room to dispose of the earth on the site.
Required: Support existing structure, Footings, foundation, water proofing, attach to foundation of original house, install window and door (supplied), remove old floor, dig lower for new floor. Inside framing etc. done by owner.
insulation on outside walls? insulation under new floor?
Site access- 4 ft walkway between buildings to basement entrance.
At this time on line estimates only before we proceed to on site visits.

Was digging a crawl space for the extension of my house and realized the 2 existing exterior walls were not properly built. I already dug the trench to pour new footings but would rather hire someone who knows how to do the new footings and foundation walls correctly.
I'm open to pouring all concrete or pouring footings then using cinder block to build the walls. The length of the walls are approximately 10' by 22'. It's the back of the house that has alley access but probably would require a concrete pumper or a few wheel barrows to get the concrete from the truck to the house (or if you prefer mix it on site)

I'm looking to get a quote for 2 different scenarios
Scenario 1
Parge entire foundation wall plus corner post (86sq ft). I can remove the gas line and electrical if that helps. I will paint (unless it's better to add dye to parge?)
Fix Concrete porch. The first few inches are brittle and need to be repaired (I can remove railing)
Scenario 2
Parge 5ft of foundation wall under porch on side of house, plus the corner post. I will paint (unless it's better to add dye to parge?)
Fix Concrete porch. The first few inches are brittle and need to be repaired (I can remove railing)
I’m happy to discuss on phone or to show you in person and get your input. I’d love to get this done sooner rather than later.
I'm in the process of building a new house. I rented an excavator and removed all the old foundation and dug to the required footing depth only to find the ground was unsuitable for footings. It was very soft and muddy. I was then told that I would have to dig down 3 more feet to hit solid ground as far as I know. At that point I would then have to build it back up to the footing level. I heard there is a product called ufill that I was told to use around the perimeter. The area is 45 feet by 20 approximately.
How much would it cost to fix this problem?
Hello,
We have been awarded the building of an addition and garage in Oakville. We are currently taking quotes on excavation and construction of a block foundation.
The plans are expected to be approved within the next few weeks, so the work would commence in September.
If you are interested and available please contact me, and I will share the plans.
Thanks.
New home constructions. Need a pro to do my foundation and footing for the construction of my prefabricated home. Lot currently being cleared and will be ready 1st week of Nov. plans, utility cutoff's. gas cut off, all done. Permits completed. Should be an easy job if the price is right.
Hi, I need an experienced, reliable and reasonably priced professional to do my block foundation wall. I will need approximately 850-900 concrete blocks and will need a membrane applied....I'm seriously considering applying an exterior layer of insulation and would appreciate some guidance on whether that's a good idea. Thanks.
I am currently working with a client on her home and she is considering a two storey addition. The approximate dimensions would be 10'x20' and would need to support a second floor. Can this be done in February considering the weather? A rough estimate and time line would be much appreciated.
I recently bought a house that was constructed around 1920. It's a wood framed, barn shaped house. It seems that it was built in many stages and the foundation appears to be a combination of concrete blocks and poured cement. Also there are wood 'sill beams' in the foundation that are at ground level and visible to the outside and are rotting away. Although there is no leaking in the basement at all, I am interested in replacing those beams.
Also, there is some general cracking and crumbling of the foundation in spots that I would like to have repaired. I would really appreciate having the chimney looked at as well.
I have attached some photos.
Thanks.
Project scheduled to start in September. Requires a slab on grade foundation, supporting a rear to-story addition.
