I plan to replace my 50-year old garage with a new 2-car garage. The garage is located at the end of the property (corner lot) with easy access from the street. The project site is located in Davisville Toronto near Bayview.
The planned dimension of the garage is roughly 6.5 x 5.5 meters (21x18 feet) and about 3.75 m (12 feet) in height. The garage will have one big front door (automatic door), a side door and a window. The foundation is a concrete slab (maybe real footing - can be discussed). The garage siding should be vinyl. There is no requirement for fancy features, but the garage should be sturdy and long lasting.
Drawings are more or less completed, maybe some final adjustments are required to optimize material or follow building codes. Approval from Toronto Committee of Adjustment have been given to exceed some Toronto bylaws (e.g. distance to neighbor). I just need to apply for the permit. Any tree removal will be done before construction (permit already available).
The planned start date is late April 2012.
Please provide some rough quotes for this project, including material, labor, removal of old garage, foundation (slab or real footing). Also, please provide estimated duration of construction. A link to your web site and reference projects would be appreciated.
Thanks and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Looking to sub out building of a 2 car garage seperate from the house. I am looking for ballpark figures - will require demo of existing single car garage and disposal, pouring cement pad for new garage in new spot and build approx 20x20 garage. siding will be vinyl, doors will be barn style, i am assuming walls will need to be 2x6 const and the roof will be asphalt shingles. ballpark figure should include permits and drawing fees by engineer/architect if req'd.
We need to build a new two car garage at the back of our house. There is currently one there that is falling down. The garage is accessed via a laneway and is between two other garages. The sides can be made out of inexpensive material since you can't see it. The front and back should ideally be make out of wood siding. So it is the front and back of the garage that is most important since that is what you see. I want to use the current garage door that is there and put in a new glass door to access it from our backyard. I also have a beam that was put in last year to ensure the garage didn't fall down before we rebuilt it so it is available. It will also need a new concrete floor.
Not sure if this would be permitted by the city of Toronto, but the following is what I am thinking of doing:
The property dimensions are 130' x 55' (east-west) , corner lot. The back/side yard is about 37' long facing south. I would like to add a single car garage/shed, with roof that is strong enough to support solar panel installation.
Access is not an issue since this is a corner lot. The house has an attached 2 cars garage.
Am looking for a builder who can build a carport for vehicle shelter and security. We live near Riverdale in a lot that backs onto a laneway. Estimate on carport size around 13 x 14 feet. Preferred material is wood, but open to ideas. Would like garage door built on end to close off any public access onto backyard property for security and privacy. Driveway also needs to be paved or have driveway blocks laid. Looking for an open concept solution for a small space. Our backyard currently includes a wooden deck. Please contact me to visit our site for an estimate.
I am looking for a quote to build a brick laneway garage in my backyard. Dimensions are 15'x25'. Plans can be provided.
Please ensure the quote includes all work required (framing, concrete pour, lighting & electrical (inside/outside), windows, door&hardware, power garage door, brick exterior, shingles, all grading and clean-up on completion).
Please also include time required to complete the project and first available start date.
I want to build a detached garage. There is a tree in my backyard that is in the way of the garage, but I prefer not to cut down it if possible. Is it doable if we build the garage around the tree? What is the impact on costs? I am in midtown Toronto. Is anybody interested in the project? If so, could you please provide an estimate or make an appointment to take a look?
I would like to build a new single car detached garage to replace my existing one. It is approximately 12' x 20. I have already received a quote for the teardown of the existing garage and creating a new concrete slab. I'm looking for a budgetary estimate for the garage alone, although if you can perform the disposal and slab pouring then I'm interested in that separately.
The garage will need a power outlet inside and should have a light as well as garage door opener.
2 car garage, 14'w x 20'd x 13'h
1 garage door
1 Double Entry Door, with no center jam
Stucco finish to the sides
A city permit and drawings are all ready
There is a wide commmercial lane way to access the arrea to build the garage. The entire lot is 16.83' x 126'.
I am looking to have a simple clean garage that will only need electricity. It is to serve its function as a garage and storage for seasonal furniture.
I can provide more details with the drawings
I would like to build a garage at the back of my house facing a lane way. There used to be a garage there many years ago (our house is 100+ years old). It is currently a fence and "grass". Our lot is 18'x42'. I am hoping to build a 2 car garage (tight squeeze i know) and one that is long enough for a workshop. I would like a sturdy structure with brick or cinder blocks. I would also require your help with the building permit. It would be great if you could provide a quote for the above work.
Demolish old garage - trash container required.
Probably break up floor concrete and pour a new one - trash container required.
Build a complete garage with roof shingles, gutter, siding, automatic garage door; side door (35") and shelving. Install new wooden fence aprox 40 ft long.
I am looking to build a car port in my back yard. Carport will be accessed off of a laneway that runs beside my house. I would like to build a structure that is ~13' wide by 17'6" deep. Would like to have a gabled roof with asphalt shingles and wood posts. We would like to have lattice or some other type of light wall enclosing the carport on all three sides. I currently have an asphalt pad in my back yard so paving would not be required. I am also looking to add an overhead garage door so electricity would need to be extended from my house to the car port (burried). For more information please get in touch with me to discuss.
I am looking for someone who will build a car port for me. I have 4 or 5 4x4 posts already set into the ground on each side of the enclosure so I really need just a roof with possibly the sides made to look a little nicer. The space between each side is approimately 14 feet.
I am looking for a quote/estimate and timeframe for both starting and completing the project.
Thank you.... Christian.
1. Carport (basic -- wood and/or wood sheet iron) for 19 x 13 foot space at back of house off laneway
2. Standalone upper deck (basic wood) that doubles as a carport.
3. Two-part 5 to 6 ft high wood fence split by tree. Approx 6 ft on either side of tree for a total of approx 12 ft to front sidewalk.
Would like quotes for all options.
House currently has one garage. Want to add a carport in front of garage big enough to accommodate two cars. Important that it doesn't change the overall look and feel of the house so am open to suggestions on what type of structure best suits the area. Can provide pictures of site to interested contractors.
Am seeking interested contractor now so that the successful contractor can obtain whatever permits are necessary to enable the work to commence as soon as possible once I've taken occupation on Feb 19, 2010.
Construct wooden carport structure over two adjacent properties backing onto rear lane. Spaces are 14' wide and 18' wide divided by a solid fence. Depth of carport will be approx 15' deep extending behind existing fence line.
Flat or peaked roof to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Design, prepare drawings and obtain permits.
I have a driveway that fits about 3 minivans (parallel). I needed a contractor to build a carport garage. I have limited budget and if anyone can give me a call for an estimate. I live at 281 Ashdale Ave. (major intersection is Coxwell & Gerrard). I would really appreciate any call from a contractor. Thank you.
I need a solid carport that will last for a few years. The ultimate goal is to build a nice garage on a new slab of concrete, but for now I would like to have a carport on the existing ashfelt slab. Our home inspector said that the slab would last for several years if it were covered with a carport.
I would expect this to be a fairly simple project that could be done over a weekend. I'd be happy to help with my own labor to help the project move along. If a good job resulted, I would be interested in going back to the same contractor to put up a much more substantial garage within the next 2-3 years.
12' x 24' detached garage. Hip roof with shingles. 2x6 walls with cedar or engineered siding. 9' wide x 7' high insulated garage door. Side door and 2 windows on one elevation. Will require the demolish of existing single garage with the grading and installation of a NEW concrete slab for 12 x 24 garage. Maximum height allowed is 13' from grade including the concrete pad.
Please submit estimate and pictures/references. We will meet after we have reviewed estimate, references and pictures of past work. Gable roof garage may be an option.
I have 4 wood poles of two different heights (to provide a slant) encased in concrete on my car lot which is 13 x 19.5 to 20 feet.
I have 2 more wood poles that need to be installed for a total of 6 poles, 3 on either side.
I would like polycarbonate panels attached to these poles to provide a shelter for my car.
Please provide an overall estimate for the polycarbonate panels and associated costs to install the extra poles and the panels.
