I am looking to build a car port in my back yard. Carport will be accessed off of a laneway that runs beside my house. I would like to build a structure that is ~13' wide by 17'6" deep. Would like to have a gabled roof with asphalt shingles and wood posts. We would like to have lattice or some other type of light wall enclosing the carport on all three sides. I currently have an asphalt pad in my back yard so paving would not be required. I am also looking to add an overhead garage door so electricity would need to be extended from my house to the car port (burried). For more information please get in touch with me to discuss.
I am looking for someone who will build a car port for me. I have 4 or 5 4x4 posts already set into the ground on each side of the enclosure so I really need just a roof with possibly the sides made to look a little nicer. The space between each side is approimately 14 feet.
I am looking for a quote/estimate and timeframe for both starting and completing the project.
Thank you.... Christian.
I would like to build a car port on the side of my bungalow house.
The total are that needs to be covered is as follows.
Height - 11'
Length (side of the house) - 27'6.5"
Width - 13'9"
It may require 3-4 posts and one skylight on the roof.
I would like the work to be done in the spring or early summer.
Please provide a quote.
If you have any question, you can contact me on an email or call me.
Thank you,
Martha
1. Carport (basic -- wood and/or wood sheet iron) for 19 x 13 foot space at back of house off laneway
or
2. Standalone upper deck (basic wood) that doubles as a carport.
>>>
3. Two-part 5 to 6 ft high wood fence split by tree. Approx 6 ft on either side of tree for a total of approx 12 ft to front sidewalk.
Would like quotes for all options.
I have an old backyard garage that is deteriorated and is right on the mutual driveway property line in East York. I am looking for it to be replaced with a Steel Carport and the Concrete underneath needs to be fixed / or Interlock whichever is better value.
Reference: Futures Building Prefab Carports: $5-$6k last time I had checked for direct consumerclick here have engineering plans that are approved as it is structural and I believe is needed for permit inspection. I also see that further modifications like cladding the poles is possible
Open to custom and/or other options.
Based on some old survey images (i have not ordered from city yet), it looks like the garage has been there since 70s, 80s.
1) What steps are involved approach this? Would it be to have a garage / carport contractor help with this process from start to finish? Assessment, permit applications, determine if I can rebuild, advise on bylaws etc.
2) I am open to suggestions on whether to source a pre-fab such as the futures carport (with wood cladding would be ideal), or some alternative non-wood structure. Any thoughts?
3) Does the estimated budget sound about right including material?
4) I am also looking for hard landscaping work in the backyard beside it as it is connected - is there any particular considerations here in coordination as there is some interlock work to be done.
Thank you.
House currently has one garage. Want to add a carport in front of garage big enough to accommodate two cars. Important that it doesn't change the overall look and feel of the house so am open to suggestions on what type of structure best suits the area. Can provide pictures of site to interested contractors.
Am seeking interested contractor now so that the successful contractor can obtain whatever permits are necessary to enable the work to commence as soon as possible once I've taken occupation on Feb 19, 2010.
Construct wooden carport structure over two adjacent properties backing onto rear lane. Spaces are 14' wide and 18' wide divided by a solid fence. Depth of carport will be approx 15' deep extending behind existing fence line.
Flat or peaked roof to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Design, prepare drawings and obtain permits.
I have a driveway that fits about 3 minivans (parallel). I needed a contractor to build a carport garage. I have limited budget and if anyone can give me a call for an estimate. I live at 281 Ashdale Ave. (major intersection is Coxwell & Gerrard). I would really appreciate any call from a contractor. Thank you.
I need a solid carport that will last for a few years. The ultimate goal is to build a nice garage on a new slab of concrete, but for now I would like to have a carport on the existing ashfelt slab. Our home inspector said that the slab would last for several years if it were covered with a carport.
I would expect this to be a fairly simple project that could be done over a weekend. I'd be happy to help with my own labor to help the project move along. If a good job resulted, I would be interested in going back to the same contractor to put up a much more substantial garage within the next 2-3 years.
12' x 24' detached garage. Hip roof with shingles. 2x6 walls with cedar or engineered siding. 9' wide x 7' high insulated garage door. Side door and 2 windows on one elevation. Will require the demolish of existing single garage with the grading and installation of a NEW concrete slab for 12 x 24 garage. Maximum height allowed is 13' from grade including the concrete pad.
Please submit estimate and pictures/references. We will meet after we have reviewed estimate, references and pictures of past work. Gable roof garage may be an option.
I have 4 wood poles of two different heights (to provide a slant) encased in concrete on my car lot which is 13 x 19.5 to 20 feet.
I have 2 more wood poles that need to be installed for a total of 6 poles, 3 on either side.
I would like polycarbonate panels attached to these poles to provide a shelter for my car.
Please provide an overall estimate for the polycarbonate panels and associated costs to install the extra poles and the panels.
I am the property owner. I am going to construct an deck and a detached garage in my backyard, and an alteration to my roof to extend to my porch and the new deck. I have received a building permit and permission from the city for the projects. The projects are ready to proceed as soon as I find a contractor.
All measures and sizes can be found in the blueprints, which I have included below.
All interested parties may contact me with an estimate. My preferred method of communication is by phone. If interested, please contact me.
I am looking for a garage to be built in my backyard off of a laneway, detached from the house. The property is 19' wide and the garage should maximize this space as it needs to be a double-door garage in order to park two cars. The length of the garage is more flexible. The back wall would need a door and possibly a window. Right now there is no concrete pad, so that could either be part of the job or I could contract it out separately. I am anticipating on having the garage constructed in March or April.
I would like to get an approximate quote to demo my existing single garage: 11' x 20'. Then to build a new garage. New Foundation needs to be put in. I would like to rebuild this 14' x 20'. I would like the garage to have 8' of clearance inside.
Garage Door to be 10' x 7'. Inside of garage to be unfinished (no drywall ... just studs as I will likely want to figure out how I want the electrical at a later date.
Aluminum siding for the outside.
I am the owner of the home. Etobicoke, old 1941 bungalow home with a separate garage. I want to redo this because the foundation is cracked and causing the existing garage to shift.
I would like the contractor to be responsible for acquiring the necessary city permits for the construction.
Knock down old wooden garage, reuse the newer garage door. Build a two story all brick detached garage approx. 17 feet wide, 20 feet high and keep existing depth approx 12 or 14 feet. Current garage has all cement floor. Ideally 2nd floor is 1/2 green roof with 6 feet high cedar fencing surrounding it, and the other 1/2 of 2nd floor is pure glass for an outdoor use year round exercise room. The clear glass is so we can look at nature. And so we can use the exercise room year round. Eco friendly companies only please.

Brick/wood garage on a concrete slab approximately 14ft x 20ft with simple hip roof.
Dual garage doors, one on lane side (Entrance) and the other on the inner backyard side (Exit) and man door and 2-French window on yard side.
Prefer sectional garage door/up & over with remote control transmitter.
There's already a concrete slab but in poor condition.
