Hi guys,
I need a hand taking down a wall, filling it with Roxul insulation and putting back up the drywall. Should be a relatively straight forward job in a new build townhouse. Let me know what you think - the main purpose is for mitigating sound transfer between the master bedroom and the baby room.
Thanks,
Kailee
I want to insulate two interior walls, they are about 11 feet long each of them and about 9 feet high. Under the existing dry wall I have about half inch board insulations and with half inch studs. I want everything to be removed, and I want new frames 2x6 and to be insulated and then covered with quite rock dry wall.
How much does it cost me to have this project done?
I have insulation (foam) and drywall to put up in the basement. 30 x 6ft approx (maybe a bit less). Let me know your approximate price and if you are available this week.
I have had some waterproofing done, so the wall is bare and clean. The job needs to be framed.
I am looking for a solo practitioner, at a reasonable rate. it's not a hard job. Shouldn't take a skilled person more than a couple of days I estimate.
Planning to install EIFS system on North and South walls of the house and stone veneer on the backyard facing wall. The front wall will remain unchanged, for now.
The house is built on cement blocks and has bricks cladding.
For the EIFS, I am looking for 4" insulation thickness and a cumulative area for the 2 walls of of ~ 683 Sq ft (i.e. excluding the door and 4 windows) - see detailed drawings and pictures for details.
Stone veneer installation should be done with spacers/mortar (a sample in the file attached).
The stone veneer product is Erth Coverings Caribou Rockface (click here ).
Attached is a file containing a sketch and a picture of the wall. Based on my calculations the surface of the wall is ~ 246 Sq ft (i.e. excluding the 2 doors and 3 windows) and the 2 corners measure a total of 21ft.
The distributor of the stone has quoted only 231Sq ft, based on the same drawing (not sure if it is a typo or just 15 Sq ft less due to mortar joints and the corners).
The stone is on back-order, with delivery in 2 weeks, but the EIFS installation can be done anytime.
Please quote:
EIFS turn key installation cost, manufacturer/brand, and warranty offered for the product & installation
Stone Veneer installation - labor and installation materials only (e.g. mortar to bond stone to wall and for joints), and warranty offered for the installation.
2000 sq ft. home built 1948. Interested in reducing heating/cooling costs and improving winter comfort (very cold walls). Blown insulation added to attice. New double glazed windows. Wondering what next best step would be? Blow insulation into walls?
Looking for energy conservation audit, recommendation, and work.
We have had an issue with our pipes freezing in the winter. We know exactly where the water is freezing, on the way upstairs from the basement to the kitchen. This pipe runs along the inside of an exterior wall and we suspect it has not been properly insulated. We need someone to come in, assess the situation and advise on repairs and how much it will cost.
Thank you!
We need a Reliable subcontrtactor to support us in all our Foam insulation projects. We are conducting a few additions a year and typically our customers require foam insulation on their new walls.
Please quote for a basic 1000 sq ft for the different availabe R values that you may offer.
We will call you for further formalization of a relationship.
Thanks
Seeking rough estimate for spray foam insulation for a 2700 square-foot, 3-storey Toronto home.
It's a semi-detached, need three outside walls for each floor, plus roof and basement. The house will be completely renovated, and is down to bare frame with exterior sheathing and subfloors in place.
100 year old semi-detached house in downtown Toronto
Basement is roughly 800 square feet and is partially finished
Front half of basement had some water damage earlier this year - we removed damaged materials down to the concrete floor and concrete walls. No damage to back half of basement and no work needed there.
Looking to install insulation and vapour barrier in front half of basement before temperature drops.
What we want: effective insulation of basement to avoid wasting energy heating the home over the winter
What we don't need: attractive finishing - we will likely renovate the entire basement in the future
Looking for installation of Insulation of Roxul, R24 for a new build including vapor barrier. This is for a new build that is about 2500 sq. ft. plus basement (700 sq. ft). Attached are the final project diagram.
If you also do dry wall and mudding, please also include this into your quote as a separate line item.
This condo is located in what used to be an optical factory. When the factory went out of business, a land developer bought it and converted it into lofts.
The wall that needs to be insulated is approximately 11 feet high X 10 feet wide. It then needs to be covered with grey faux brick panels.
Thank you and I would appreciate receiving a quote for this project.

We have an 1890 's, 2 story home in Parkdale. Unfinished basement. We would like to insulate our 2 outer walls.by spraying from the basement up and in( front wall is yellow brick 15x30 ft).
Side wall is black temtest?with roll shingling on top.Insulate either from blown in from basement or outside.perhaps foam and wallboard or flexfoil and wallboard? 30 ft x 30 ft aprox.

Our Formal Living Room is located above the cold room. However the floor is very cold due to no insulation below the hardwood. I need to blow insulation onto the concrete to prevent this from happening. The area is around 100 sq feet. and I think we may need around 6 inches of insulation on the concrete.
Can you pls provide the ideas and quote?
Thanks
Sunil
I have a small extention on the back of my house. The house is about 90 years old and the extention is one many homes in my area also have.
The extention has some electric wiring for an exterior porch light, a door to the outside and inside, and a small window. It is about 6ft x 8ft, clean, but I will need to remove its contents.
I only need it properly insulated and drywalled.
I will also have other projects for the right team in the near future.

High park semi-detached home, built 1912, upstairs master bedroom is very cold relative to rest of house. Walls and floor near bay window are very cold to touch and we suspect poor or no insulation. Room is 11x14 feet. We would like to re-insulate which may mean also re-drywalling. We would like to get job done in January.
Re-insulate existing attic/crawl space. 3 storey house, approx 80-100 years old. 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms with a crawl space on both the east and west side of the sourthern half of the house. Duct work runs through the crawl space on the west side. Unsure of when the crawl space was insulated but it needs to be replaced.
We have 866 sq feet (96 linear feet, 9 foot ceilings) of enclosed wall total spread amongst 4 second floor bedrooms (brick outside wall, full 2x4 construction and lath/plaster inside finish) to be filled/blown with cellulose insulation. Knob and tube has been cut and replaced with Romex.
We also have 102 sq ft of ceiling in the 5th back bedroom (see plans) to be done, very limited to no access to this ceiling from attic.
Attic is already insulated and finished, we may consider beefing it up (depending on price) but that's only behind knee walls.
Need quote and timelines.
