We are an environmental not-for-profit charitable organization. We are transforming our lunch room into usable office space but it is too noisy.
We are looking for estimates on soundproofing this room. There are two sources of noise - the interior wall that divides this room from another staff members office, which measures 11 x 11, and the ceiling. The building is very old and has porous hardwood floors. We would like to cost out having a drop ceiling installed. I believe the dimensions are 12 x 11. With regards to the wall, we are considering installing soundproofing tiles.
Please contact us with questions and to schedule a visit to provide a quote.
THANK YOU!
We moved into an older condo on Toronto. Our new upstairs neighbour is a at-home leatherworker with a yappy dog. For real. The noise is constant, 18 hours a day. We have not had a good night sleep in months. When we did our reno last year, our contractor nixxed our plans to knock out walls because they're so old / full of asbestos. So I'm looking for a soundproofing solution that would be adding on some materials to a finished wall / ceiling.
We have a finished basement that needs soundproofing. The basement is about 550 sq ft. The soundproofing will have to be in the ceiling, instead of the upstairs floor, which is finished hardwood.
We don't have any preferred materials.
Our house was built in 1928. We live in Toronto.
I'm looking for suggestions to block sound from my neighbour's unit that started when he removed his upper kitchen cabinets. I think he may also have removed bulkheads around air vents and other pipes. We share a concrete wall. My bedroom is on one side, with standard wallboard and bulkheads. I can hear running water and dripping noises. Could simply removing bulkheads and kitchen cabinets permit sound to transmit through a concrete wall?
What options to I have to reduce this noise transmission? Would Quiet Rock or some similar product be helpful? Would it be possible to sound proof the bulkheads at the same time if the drywall is being changed to Quiet Rock? If Quiet Rock is not necessary, what options might be possible to sound proof the bulkheads?
We are currently renovating our basement and we need to have our joist headers in the basement insulated with 2lb or better, spray foam. It is open access and the area cover is about 50 areas that are 8inch by 16 inch by 8 inch deep. Pictures available upon request. Can be done after normal business hours.
I need my basement insulated with spray foam. I would like to take advantage of the Eco-energy savings the government is offering. If I am happy with the basement job, there is a chance I will use the same contractor to add blown insulation to my attic to once again take advantage of the eco-energy savings. my house is 5 years old and the basement is dry.
We are currently undergoing full renovations to our 70-year-old home - demolition right down to the brick and joists. It is a two-storey brick house with approximately 2,500 square feet. We would like to know the costs to spray foam the walls and attic space (approximately 5,000 square feet in total).
Thanks.
We are currently finishing our basement, and are considering spray foam insulation. We are looking for a quote to complete this work. The measurements are 13' wide X 37' long X 8.5 feet height and all 4 walls will need insulation. I would like an online estimate recognizing that your company will have to see the basement in person to finalize the quote.

The front of my house has a roofed porch and bay window. I recently removed the porch ceiling with plans to refinish it with cedar boards, however I also removed lots of insulation around the lower part of the bay window, which is exposed under the porch's roof.
I'm looking for a contractor to spray foam the lower part of the bay window, which is in the porch ceiling.

My house was built in the 1920's. The exterior walls are not insulated (for the most part - 2 rooms have been renovated and insulated). The walls are double brick with the original plaster on the inside.
The ground floor (8' ceiling):
kitchen - 13'8"x12'4" (1 window)
living/dining room - 26'x10'8" (bay window on the side and 1 big window in the front)
1st floor (8' ceiling):
26'x15' (1 window on the side and bay window + small window in the front)
2nd floor - attic (7'3" ceiling):
26;x15' (2 windows in the back, 1 on the side and 1 in the front)
What would be the best way to insulate without taking the whole house apart? And can you give me an on-line estimate?
The electrical wiring has not been completely up dated in the house. I would love to do that as well before the plaster walls are repaired - if that is a possible way of doing the insulation.
Thank you
