Kitchen renovation. The kitchen is small; appliances and cabinets all on one wall. We would like to redo the kitchen without radically changing the shape. We also need some minor electrical work; adding dimmers and removing 1 switch from the panel.
- 10 cabinet doors and 4 drawers in total. We are open to just replacing the doors, or the entire cabinets if we can find a new design we like.
- open to changing the appliances.
- if you offer painting services, we would be interested in having 1 of our rooms painted, as well as adding a new coat of paint (same colour) to the rest of the house.
Hi,
We are looking for someone innovate to reimagine the very small space that is our kitchen. The entire room needs torn our and redone. We are also hoping to add an addition on to the back of our home to function as a laundry/storage area. However, we are unsure about the necessary permits.
1. new sink installation (sink already purchased).
2. installation of pot lights in kitchen.
3. addition of a powder room on main floor (back of kitchen).
4. updating floors (new tiles) in kitchen.
5. updating basement bathroom - new shower, new floor tiles, new vanity.
The location is downtown Toronto, in a studio apartment, so this is a rather small project.
The work involves:
Rearranging existing cabinets
Installation of a microwave over the range
Change to granite countertop with undermount sink, aprox 50" in size
Minor electrical repair to kitchen fixtures
Total size of kitchen is 105" aprox.
Our downtown townhouse built in 1981 and needs a kitchen renovation.
We are prepared to have the kitchen gutted and rebuilt professionally with modern materials.
My wife wants a nice counter top. We could also use some more shelves. The kitchen area is in an open floor loft-style space. We need this work done soon.
The contractor we select will provide a written quote on the work and have some portfolio and client references for us to evaluate.
I live in a condo and would like to conduct a kitchen renovation.
I have two bar fridges instead of the traditional fridge/freezer in my kitchen.
I need a professional to cut the granite counter top (under the counter top I have the two bar fridges) and remove the top cabinets so that we can fit a traditional fridge/freezer instead.
I can email you pictures of the project.
What I am looking for:
- A true professional not an amateur, who has commercial insurance with experience in kitchen cabinets.
- I need you to do a clean and proper work, not sloppy work
- Must stick to agreed time schedule
- Ideally I would prefer if you can also supply the fridge/freezer (one stop shop).
We're looking to get our kitchen renovated with the following:
1. New or refaced cabinets
2. New countertop and sink
3. New backsplash
It's a tiny condo kitchen - see attached pictures. We don't want to change the layout, only upgrade the existing look.
We're looking for oak-look, black-brown, flat cabinets (no bevels or designs) with long rectangular door nobs. We'd like a white coloured countertop with subtle specs of colour - in either Granite or Corian. If white is not available, we would consider black as well. For backsplash, we are looking for glass with lots of shine and colour.
We've received quotes from some of the big-box retailers and those are far beyond our budget.
We are okay for in-home consultations/estimates most weekdays after 6pm. We'd like the work complete the last week in December or first week in January.
Thanks!
Aly
Hi,
We have purchased a semi detached house (approx 1500 sqft) in East Missisauga on Cawthra and wanted to upgrade certain sections/features of the house. We would need design consultation as well as installation. At a high level, we would like to change the below.
- Kitchen upgrade including appliances (open kitchen with island etc, possibly taking down a wall)
- Flooring change from parquet to hard wood or alternate floor
We have the house available starting 15-Nov and wanted to start the renovations then. You would also be able to view the house initially before 15-Nov so that you can start the design process. Please contact me if you would be interested in taking up the project and also let us know the process and the approximate cost/time that would be needed for such changes.
My family and I live in a small bungalow in Mimico (Etobicoke/Toronto). We need our very small galley kitchen renovated. It's not very functional and we are having a constant issues with pests because of the poor workmanship done by the previous owners. We do not want to spend too much money because we maybe looking to renovate the whole home in a few years, or just sell. The floor/walls and have to be redone and the electrical outlets need to be replaced with a higher capacity voltage. A wall may be needed to be torn down and a wall vent moved. (depending on the new layout of the kitchen)I'm not looking for marble counter tops or any high end finishes. Something clean and basic is what we are looking for.
Also, a small hall closet needs to be added. A max budget of 10,000 is all we can afford.

Reno/Replacement of kitchen, house is 10yrs old, has a 10*12 kitchen work/cab area with cabs on back side with standard stove, the fridge takes up small L space at one end, has an island including sink and dishwasher with upper breakfast bar that faces a family room. The kitchen has a small sitting/eating area at the 12feet end adding a 8*10 eating space, may consider putting cabs down the entire back wall of 23 feet. work should focus on the kitchen area only other then floors. Looking to remove all cabs and island and replace with medium to high grade cabs and stone countertops with either stone/tile backspash. all appliances will remain in approx current position, no plumbing or wiring required. consider removing upper ceiling bulkhead above current cabs to expand for shelf space. Two cosmetic (we think) pillers that connect to the island are to be removed or replaced (if required). New lighting with 10-15 pot lights. New sink and faucet to match decor. A current 3 sided glass fireplace is to be removed and replaced with awall mounted unit in same place. All flooring in kitchen 12*23 is to be either 12in tile or maple/oak hardwood, also family room to be hardwood as well with a space of 14*12.
Family room, garage of back deck that ajoins the kitchen with sliding door and single entry door can be used as staging for cutting ect. Looking to complete remodel in 3-5 weeks. Owner can remove current cabs, fireplace and pillars if required.

IMPORTANT - I have a debilitating chemical intolerance, this work is being done through the Toronto renovates program. They require a Toronto licence, as well as a written quote for the specified work, rather then an hr. rate. I'm supplying all of the materials as they have been researched and sourced as safe zero voc, none-toxic products.
The worker or workers must be willing to be scent free, including no scented laundry products or fabric softeners
Thank you,
Cheryl
We have a 5ft x 7ft max kitchen floor that is currently tiled.
We would like to redo these tiles with new store bought grey stone tiles (we will supply).
The kitchen cabinets sit on the old tiles, so we'd like to just tile upto the cabinets if you think that will work/look good (leave the cabinets in place).
At the same time, we have new fridge, stove top microwave (suspended), dishwasher, stove/oven that can be delivered anytime. I would like the same contractor to remove the old appliances, put in the garage (someone else will remove) and install the new appliances, which are on the SECOND level of the house. You will have to take up one flight of stairs (or bring through patio doors).
Lastly, I have new laundry appliances coming too (washer/dryer with pedestals). Need you to remove old appliances and put them in garage also. These are on the same level as the garage.
Ideally this work should be completed within the next two weeks.

I am looking for someone to do light remodel of my kitchen. I live in a small condo downtown Toronto and looking for someone to help with the following:
1. replace kitchen counter top and base cabinets
2. install new overhead cabinets
3. install new stove extractor fan
4. replace current sink with a larger one including faucet and plumbing
Additional work I would consider:
1. Replace kitchen flooring (to be discussed)
2. Replace bathroom counter, vanity, sink and convert tub to a stand up shower (to be discussed)
I have made a rough sketch of my kitchen and included photos to help with an estimate.
Hi, i just bought a home in stoney creek. closing in December. there is a number of little things i'm gonna be doing over the next year or two, bathrooms, floor, stairs etc. the house is in good condition. when i move in in December i wanted to just give the kitchen a little touch up. paint the cupboards, change knobs, put in back splash, change a light fixture and maybe take off the boring counter top and put on one that is more modern along with a sink and tap. the stove is against a wall, i would love to move that or just take away that half of wall that is there so the stove isnt against a wall (optional). i'm sure you will have ideas. the layout and cupboards are in good condition. it just needs a touch up. also the floor, if we could put in some better looking tiles there to really enhance the place, it would be good. for now i can send you pictures of how it looks, not a bad kitchen the way it looks, but i would like to change the color of the cupboards and touch it up. (let me know my options) if i could get a quote on how much the different things would cost, i would know what i can afford to do and what is not necessary in the first 6 months we move in. there is also an island, i would want that counter top changed too, if i could move the sink over to the island i could get a new place to put the stove. this might be a big operation. let me know, give me a call.
We are looking to update our current kitchen cabinets and countertops. The Kitchen is approximately 13 by 9 feet. The counter /cabinets run in an L shape 9 by 5. Our home is an older home and while we know this is not our forever home we would like to just update it a little for our enjoyment and increased property value. We are not looking to replace with top of the line materials just well made and affordable. We also have older hardwood floor through our living/dining area and it is buckling in one spot. The entire room is pretty small at about 200 square feet. I am hoping the floor can be repaired and then just refinished rather then replaced but I require some advice from the experts. Please let me know if you require any further information.
Hi there,
I need to upgrade my Kitchen- adding some cabinets that matches with the existing cabinets and add some modular units and shelfs inside the drawers and cabinets. Also need to take out the conventional Oven and install the Wall Oven and mount the microoven on top of the Wall Oven. This needs to be installed at Milton location.
Water is leaking through my kitchen wall and seeping behind the cabinets, tile backsplash and into the bulkhead. I am uncertain of the source of the water - it may be the 2nd floor washroom, or it may be from outside. The water is also leaking on the exterior, behind the siding.
I need someone to remove the cabinets in front of the leak, ascertain the source of the water, fix the problem and then restore the cabinets, tile and drywall, etc.
