Good day.
I need a few courses of bricks to be installed under a new window opening on the ground floor along with a stone ledge, hopefully to match the existing ones. I also need a few course removed under a new window and have the existing concrete ledge to be lowered. Approx. width of the window is 44". I will also need a half course of block added to an existing foundation wall with anchor bolts. Approx. size of addition is 7' x 9'. Only need the half block added to 3 sides. Need to start immediately due to weather and its located around the Pape and Danforth area. Full access, corner house.
Bricks on the base of a 4' h x 3' wide x 12" d brick wall (both sides) are crumbling. I want these repaired, not replaced or connect with a company that has suggestions on how to hide the "crumble" as well as provide stability and longevity to the base of the brick wall.
Aging shared brick garage needs tuckpointing and some rebuilding. Terraces were improperly built up around the garage by previous owner and earth is against the brick, pushing in and eating the brick away. need the earth excavated from around the garage, and proper waterproofing done around the base, as well as tuckpointing and replacing bricks on the rest of the structure. would prefer to salvage bricks from the interior of the structure and use them on the exterior so the bricks match.
our insurance company is mandating that this work be done, so time is of a concern.

I am looking for someone who will come and add new mortor along the whole of the house. Front/sides/back ... In the front, prior to starting - I would like the brick/stone to be power washed - and then the mortor repaired.

Total basement waterproofing is approximately 30 linear feet along a TTC chain link fence, a paved walkway runs the length of the side of house. Approx 10 linear feet is in back. Backyard has a porch, work can be done underneath porch, just need to remove some of the wood to gain access to wall. you have access to back yard from a shared laneway with a private yard and parking area. Interested in an online estimate first and go from there.

Contractor has a large rear addition that will need to have some corrective work done, including some underpinning, masonry block foundation walls, footings and concrete work. Work to start within the week, must be experienced and qualified with all insurances, and paperwork and references.
My Chimney flasing are not let into the mortar joints (see picture attached) and I would probably want to put concrete around the chimney bricks. . I am looking for an honest contractor who can give me a reasonable quote and will not try to take me for a ride. I am not in the condition yet, to change the whole roof, but at the time of fixing the problems described above, I would not mind getting a quote.
Thanks,
Carlos.
My house chimney needs repair. Mortar between bricks falling apart and it needs the repair job of tuck pointing. House is a small bunglow and chimney is located in the middle of house. Work to be done at height is not more than 16 feet from the ground.

Hello,
I require two stone/brick columns to be installed to act as gateposts for our driveway. The total opening will be 10', so the columns must support a 5' aluminum gate only. I would prefer if the columns could be wired so lights could be installed on top and also so we can install automatic gate openers later. I have a contractor for the gates themselves and the openers too - I just need someone to install the columns first.

Brick work (mortar repair, closing an old unused kitchen range duct, possibly bricking up where an old exterior door used to be), replacing broken exterior exhaust and dryer vents.
A number of other jobs -- exterior door repair/replacement, laundry room plumbing and laundry sink replacement, for example -- if you're a handyman looking for additional work, but the exterior repair work mentioned above is most important, and the "estimated budget" relates only to that work.

I am looking for a rough idea of the cost that would be involved in performing some minor repointing on a 2 story home (roughly 30x20 ft) in addition to sandblasting to clean the brick on the front of the house.
The project would be performed on a 1929 character home in Weston Village (Jane & Lawrence).
We would be looking at a start date sometime in early May.
