Brick work (mortar repair, closing an old unused kitchen range duct, possibly bricking up where an old exterior door used to be), replacing broken exterior exhaust and dryer vents.
A number of other jobs -- exterior door repair/replacement, laundry room plumbing and laundry sink replacement, for example -- if you're a handyman looking for additional work, but the exterior repair work mentioned above is most important, and the "estimated budget" relates only to that work.
(I am the owner.)

We have an older house (est build 1930's) with a double brick foundation. We have recently moved into the house and tore out the basement. Among the several suprises that we found was a 2'x2' window that had no glass, just iron bars that had been boarded over with drywall. We would like someone to come in and brick in the window.
You will need to:
- Remove the iron bars and old cement from the framing area.
- Provide all materials and tools
- Insure that the area is clean upon completion
This condo is located in what used to be an optical factory. When the factory went out of business, a land developer bought it and converted it into lofts.
The wall that needs to be insulated is approximately 11 feet high X 10 feet wide. It then needs to be covered with grey faux brick panels.
Thank you and I would appreciate receiving a quote for this project.
looking to install various partial walls, and kitchen island with brick veneer.
kitchen island only two sides (24"x36, 2ftx8ft)
partial wall which kind of flows into another room (28"x184", 37"x144")
vertical dividing wall (28"x46")
these are just rough measurments. i do live in a loft with limited parking.
i'm located by Richmond St.W and Spadina Ave. in Toronto
will need need supply and installation service
Looking for a quote to extend the landing stairs in my backyard.
• Will need to properly seal the area where stairs meet the wall - remove first row of interlock and seal insulate (about 20 cm) so water does not stay on the brick wall. This was not properly insulated and graded so water/ice damaged the face of the bricks. All the interlocks in that landing to be properly leveled.
• I want to extend the landing to where the wall /gate is as per the pictures attached.
Starting as soon as the weather permits.
I have a small front yard area where a gardener will be cleaning up and replanting, but they do not do stone work.
I need to finish the area along the sidewalk and the path to the house and need some thoughts on whether it should be finished with flagstone or a brick type of stone work.
Also any suggestions of a contractor who will take on a small project at a reasonable cost are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rachel

Hello.
Im looking for a masonist to install a solid mason brick wall in my basement. The wall will be approximately 15 feet by 8 feet. As well, there will be two smaller walls with a door opening in the center. so 1 full wall, 2 half walls. The 2 half walls are about 4 feet by 8 feet.
The main wall is against the garage. The only thing between the garage and the spare bedroom im building is some flimsy wood and particle board. As this is a guest room I would like the walls so to reduce noise, cold and provide some additional security from the garage.
Thanks.
Seems I wasnt giving enough time to schedule a site visit - if you are an experienced Mason (ONLY!) then we can go to the site tomorow (Fri) or Sunday...or early monday morning - Quote deadline is Monday at 11am - I need 3 quotes (I have zero right now)
We service a 3 story building downtown Toronto - I need an experienced masonry crew - to look at the defeciencies in the brick and concrete work - and provide me with a quote to repair it --- its hard to say - but there is $7 to $12K of repairs required
Please be an experienced mason - I will need to see a portfolio of previous work before or during our site walk through -
After you quote I will need to see WSIB and Liablity insurance - and references
I will meet with 3 contractors (as I need to provide 3 quotes - to get approval)
Please call my cell to make arrangements to see the project (leave your number if I cant pickup - and I will call you back)
I need a quote for about 6 windowsills and arches. The sills could be brick or switched to a “solid stone” (sorry I don’t know if that’s what it’s called) whatever is cheaper. The house needs a lot more masonry work done but we are getting new windows and can’t afford to do it all in one shot. If it’s not too much to ask, 2 quotes would be appreciated. One for the (windowsills and arches), and one for the rest of the masonry work needed on the house for next year.
The house is detached about 80-100yrs old, with enough space on both side of the house for scaffolding. The work would be for ASAP.
If you need anymore information please feel free to contact me.
Hi
I was wondering if I would be able to get a quote on getting my porches redone at a house in Trenton.
Here is a picture of my house as well as another picture showing what I would like done. My main priority is to make the porches like new.
List of what I would like done:
1) Make porches like new. Similar to the attached picture.
2) Remove old brick on the front face of the house and replace with matching brick that will be used on the portch.
3) I would like the concrete skirt foundation to look like new. Can this be done?
Please let me know if you got this email. Also if this is something that you do not normally do then would you recommend a good reputable company that can do this for me? Please contact me either by this email address or on my phone if you have any questions.
Thank you
Paul

I have a new house that I moved into 6 months ago. I have completed the renos in the inside and am now looking to work on the outside. I am looking to replace my front porch and put in a proper flower bed. I am also looking to put in a new gate on the side of the house but this would not fall under brick and masonry.
I need my front sidewalk removed (the gas main runs under it so no power tools allowed). I want a new curved sidewalk built through the middle of the front garden - dimensions of front garden is 23 x22 feet. Would like tumbled stone bricks used for the new sidewalk. Old sidewalk is poured concrete.
I require interior and exterior parging.
Interior: I have recently gutted out a 100sq/ft basement kitchen to the concrete flooring, and concrete walls of a near century semi-detached home in Toronto. The furnace and water tank are in this room, but I would like to restore it to a functional laundry room that it once was. There was tile and laminate on the floor, which needs levelling in a few areas. The walls have a few holes and minor deterioration that needs parging, repairing and sealing in order to paint over them.
Exterior house parging repair.
I'm looking to get a quote for capping an in active chimney. It simply needs to have an aluminum cap to ward off any animals to pass an inspection to finalize the sale of my house.
The house is located at Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton and i would be looking to have the work completed in the next week or so.
If you are interested in the project please send me an email back.
thank you,
Nicole
