We are selling our house in July and want to fix some things on the outside to improve the curb appeal.
1. eavestrough repair (leaking in one particular area when it rains, one area needs to be replaced and sloped properly, one downspout needs to be replaced)
2. on the third floor of the house, the triangle thing that faces the street is currently covered in many layers of old shingles and I want to replace it with black siding or some other black material to match my front door when it is painted.
3. The porch roof on top of my front door is missing a piece of eavestrough, and I want to cover the front face of it with something that looks nicer, as it is currently old ugly wood (possibly the same material as in #2).
4. My roof is brown, but someone repaired a leak with black goo stuff, which you can see from the street. I want to know how much it would cost to put that black coating on the entire roof to make it blend in.
5. My chimney is falling apart so I need a quote to remove and cap it.
6. I am also interested in pricing for aluminum framing around my windows.
7. One wood frame around the window at the side of my house is rotten, and I want a quote to replace it also.
I am looking for a contractor to help install exterior siding for my townhouse in downtown Toronto. My house is 3 storey high. But the work that needs to be done are on the main floor and the second floor.
I am looking to install stone veneer siding for the 2 bay windows at the front of my house, and vinyl siding for the back of my house. Currently, the areas are in stucco.
Back of the house approximately 200 sq ft, beige vinyl siding. Back of the house must be accessed through the house. So, I will have to be around when they are doing it.
Front of the house, 2 bay windows, approximately 150 sq ft for both, stone veneer siding.
Age of house: Approximately 29 years old.
I am looking to buy my own materials, so I am looking for labor only.
The peaks on our house, front and back, and some of the surrounding areas are presently unprotected by siding. In the past they were just painted, but the paint is peeling and I would like a more permanent solution. (Plus it's hard for us to get up that high to paint). I'm assuming it would be aluminum. We live in a small, two bedroom house near Pape and Danforth in Toronto; it's probably about 80 yrs old.
I need an estimate for finishing one side of the exterior walls. I will also need Soffit/Fascia, Eavestrough Installation for the roof, etc.
Since the wall is only 3 ft (1.5 feet is on my property) away from my neighbour's wall, a special fire code material is required by the city. ie densglass gold, hardie board, etc.
The measurement of the wall: 50ft Length X 27 ft Height (3 storey).
I need recommendation on different siding materials in order to satisfy the fire code. i.e. aluminum siding, steel siding, stucco, hardi board combination, etc. If they are all good for the firecode, then I need to know the cost of each of them. Please provide estimate for 1. steel siding 2. aluminum siding, 3. stucco. 4. hardi board, etc.
In addition, I also need cost estimate for aluminum soffit/fascia, eavestrough installation. It is a flat roof with 3 degree slope. The width of the house is 15 ft and the length is 50ft.
80 year old wood frame single story house.
remove old aluminum siding, replace with rigid panel foam insulation, house wrap and factory finish fibre cement siding.
remove 2 layers old shingles on the roof, repair any damage to roof deck and fascia, install ice and water shield, metal drip edge and new shingles
I had a recent demolition done and the result will require some repair to the fascia, soffit and eavestrough.
It is relatively a small job. The repair spans about 12' across in the backyard above the sliding doors.
The house was built in the 60s and also has a textured stucco finish that will need to be patched.
Please provide quotes and I will contact you.
1. require 3 downspouts to be relocated from sewer to lawn
2. require 2 downspout extensions from two upper level eaves to lower eaves trough rather than have
same run on asphalt shingles down to the lower level eaves (house is a side-split)
3. require a new section of soffit (approx. 10 ft.) to replace a section which has parted from the facia.
4. require a few brackets to be installed to retain approx. 10 ft. of eaves which keeps pushing the
current spikes out
I own a bungalow in downtown and I need to replace the evedrop all around the roof with a replacement of the hedge wood that goes with it, pontentialy install additional shingles towars the edge only to finish the job. I also need to cover the entire back of the house with siding. I need to add some concrete to the entrance in the front yard of the house as the walk way to get into the main entrance and finally to do some land scaping but that will be the last part of this project. Please contact me for some estimates and thank you for your time.
We need someone to install vinyl and aluminum siding on a house extension. We will need fascia, eaves trough, soffit and down pipe. Location Danforth and greenwood area.
Please contact me if you are available to perform this service soon and to arrange a time for a visit to give an estimate.
To remove supply and install:
- soffit, fascia eaves-trough, down pipes at east side of house.
Determine if 1x6 wood fascia needs to be repaired or replaced.
Remove all aluminum siding (2nd floor of house) and install vinyl siding cap in aluminum around window frames and put drip edges at top of windows to divert water.
I have a small 2 storey semi-detached, approximately 23'x16' built early last century. Bad renovation done probably in the late 80's. Exterior is stucco.
I am looking for a contractor to give me an estimate on removing the stucco and installing a pre-finished wood siding (Cape Cod or similar) rain-screen wall, including rigid insulation and moisture barrier. There are some tie-ins to windows and roof decks that would be affected by the work. Probably also includes some soffits to be re-finished.
I already have siding on front and side of house but would like to replace it with a darker colour and possible reuse present siding (which is in excellent condition) on the back of the house. the budget section didn't leave a lot of leeway so I though I would add my budget is approximately $1500 or a bit more.
Our house is missing two 8' long sections of fascia. We saved one as template for new replacement. We would like to have these previously white pieces and the lower sections that connect to them be coloured grey instead. Also require two 7' sections of eaves trough and a 20' piece to be covered with leaf guards. The existing 4 window shutters to be matched with the same grey.
We require an estimate.
My office is right around the corner from you on Galaxy.
I need to have my backyard shed re-sided and wondered what materials you offer? The shed is approx 10x20' and I need all 4 walls sided - there are approx 375 sq feet.
I was considering a cape cod or something similar, perhaps cedar shakes. The shed will be used as an outdoor bar/tool shed, so I am trying to add some atmosphere to it.
Please get back to me with some options and price points. I need to have this re sided by Aug 24th.
We have bought a shed that is already tar papered on the roof and already has been wrapped on the outside. The shed is approx. 8 1/2' x 11 1/2' and approx. 13 ft high (from floor to peak of roof). We want it vinyl sided including soffits an fascia and shingles put on the roof. We probably need eaves but that will depend on the cost of the job.
This is a small project, and we have been given some outrageous prices. We are looking for a fair price for a small job. We have costed out the siding anywhere from 75 cents a sq ft to 1.30 a sq ft. This is not the taj mahal, it is a shed. There is a door a skylight and a medium size window.
The shield sits on the driveway of the seller. We need this work completed by Wednesday April 29 or sooner because we must remove it from the sellers property.
I have a top up project in OAKVILLE.
The top up is 47'X23'6", 10 feet for the height. 1410 sqft not including window and double door cut outs.
I am looking for a sub to provide supply and install pricing for this job.
The client has asked for two dormers to be added to the front elevation, which will be priced as extra to the 1410 sqft above.
Please contact me via e-mail to arrange for a site meet to see the project.
I manage a six-storey residential building in the area of Etobicoke, ON. I need to get some estimates to have siding installed on the west end of the building in the same fashion as the east end was done a few years ago. The siding was installed as a result of water seepage through old brick. The building is approx. 50 years old.
Best bet is to visit the site. Arrangements can be made to have someone walk you around if required.

Just purchased a 12-foot wide freehold townhome that requires new siding on front and back. It is currently that fake brick sheets that are just nailed up. The back of the home has an unattached addition that will require siding on the side. The eaves and downspouts in the back all need to be replaced.
We are interested in either vinyl siding, or hardie board.
The approximate size - the front of the house is 12'wx 20h.
The back addition is w9'7" x h10' x d12', and the remaining back wall from the original building would have been 12'x20'.
