I would like some patio stones installed along the back of my house which measures 22' long. Here are some key items about the project:
1. The patio stones can be new or used as long as they are in pretty good shape, and uniform in colour ie. All grey.
2. The most important part is that the stones are sloped away from the house.
3. Not sure if I need 1 or 2 rows, but I would like it to come out about 3'.
4. Some shrub removal is required, as you can see from the pictures.
So in summary, remove what's in the way, lay the patio stones, slope them away from the house.
We would like to widen our walkway to the garage. At the moment it is only 18inch wide, but we need to double the width by adding a second row of 18inch wide stones. This would likely involve lifting up the current stones, and putting them back down with the addition of another 30 stones (all stones are 18"x18").
Hello, looking to have a company remove the existing patio stones, add the necessary gravel, compact / grade accordingly and install new patio stones, nothing fancy, just something safe and functional. I have attached some pictures, the existing patio is 22' x 12', the new patio will be approximately the same dimensions.
Thank you.
The patio stones are 24" x 30"
The patio is 5.5 stones wide by 3.5 stones deep.
There are 5 cracked stones which need to be replaced.
Lift all the stones, dig down 4" and add 2" of limestone screenings.
The drain in the photo can be covered over with complete stones.
Relay old stones including 5 new ones.
Take away all excavated dirt and the broken stones.
I have attached a photo.
Hello,
Looking for someone with basic stone masonry experience to:
- deliver 2 large stones from:
8144 King Street. Bolton, ON. L7E 0T8
Tel: 905 857 9684 Fax: 905 857 9685
www.banasstones.com
Then delivery to our house in Etobicoke.
- remove two existing stained stones on front porch.
- replace those two stones with the ones that you delivered.
Old angel stone cladding is off or loose at north side of house. This job is the biggest. There is some walkway cement damage in the same area. A laminate patio board bends when you step on it. It may need better or repaired support underneath. The underlying support structure is wood. Extra water falls on this location because the eves are overflowing. Downspout could be clogged. Please see pictures.
We would like to resurface the front of our brick home with limesstone veneer, mouldings and accent bricks.
We have a 1200 square foot solid brick bungalow with single attached garage and open porch approximately 12 feet long and 6 feet deep with two steps. There are two small windows approximately 3 feet high by 4 feet in front (bathroom and kitchen). We would like someone to come out and give us a quote.
Thank you,
Kathleen
Remove and replace approx 65 feet of retaining wall at front and side of house. Install Pizza Stone wall system with top cap. Install filter cloth, back full cavity and install soil as required.
Remove and replace east concrete walkway and step. Install interlock system.
Remove and replace stair and walkway hand railing on south side of house. Install factory finished railing.
2 years after waterproofing around the house done, need to:
- pave the walkway adjacent to the side of the house with existing slabs/pavers (length: 45 ft)
- lay existing interlock bricks back after the waterproofing (2 feet wide, 11 ft long + 12 ft long under a high deck)
Budget: to be discussed further.
Need two quotes:
- minimal option
- recommended option
We would like a new railing and stone facing for existing front steps.
Stone
We would like to see samples of the actual stone before the work begins. Is that possible?
Are there other suppliers besides Banas? Unilock has a nice product but no one seems to carry it?????
Railing
Here's a photo of what we are thinking about: metal with wood top rail. We're concerned about rust. Some maintenance work of the wood is OK.
The railings will come up to the black, tapered columns and stop w/o touching the columns. Then they will continue for a little bit on the other side.
Front porch renovation where existing flagstone has lifted from water/salt damage. Project requires demolition of existing flagstone, surface cleanup and installation of new material. Porch has concrete foundation in good condition. Total square footage of porch not more than 120 sq ft. Steel railing to be removed prior to demolition and will be replaced following refacing. Considering Halton stone as material of choice.
Retaining stone garden wall was not properly done. So its bowed forward. It needs to be removed and rebuilt. May purchase new stone instead of cleaning the current stone. Not sure what is best yet. Will take opportunity to level side and back yard properly. Also, will bring in new sod for front of house, and landscape. Please call during work hours 9:00-5:00.
Hello
We started a stone veneer project for a couple interior walls in our downtown toronto condo (king and Spadina) but had to stop half way thru the project and we are looking for someone to finish the project neatly.
The stone we started using is the Carbon Ledgestone Veneer (6" x 24" panels) from Factory Tile Depot in Oakville click here tiles are to be placed on exposed concrete walls for a total of about 92 sq ft of wall. We don't like how the corner tiles work on these tiles but we like the tile itself, so we are hoping to create MDF corners on the edges and just cover the walls with flat panels of the stone.
Could you provide a quote for labour for this job?
thanks

Hello,
I am looking into having my windows insulated - as they were poorly installed - and have constant draft coming through. Also, I have an energy audit done not too long ago .. and it was recommended that we reinsulate our attic. The bungalow is roughly 1100sq ft ...
Please let me know the approx. cost to complete the whole job, time it would take, materials to be used to insulate windows and what type of insulation for the attic you will use.
Thank you
