My parents house is 40 years old and they have plaster walls, the wallpaper was put on 35 years ago with glue. I would like to have the wallpaper removed and have the walls painted. Is this possible? I do not want to attempt this myself, I would like a contractor or painter or someone who specializes in removal of wallpaper from plaster walls to contact me. The wallpaper is only at the front entrance and hallway, upstairs hallway and downstairs hallway. The house is a backsplit. I would like an estimate or a quote on approximate cost if possible. Thank you for your time!

Hi - I have a small wallpaper removal job in downtown toronto to remove wallpaper from one room in a new condo. Job must be done on November 27 (get possession, move in next day). Specs are: vinyl wallpaper over painted surface (easier to remove than some - just peel vinyl off and then papery part can be dampened and scraped). Room is 9'8" x 16'10" at widest points, less 2 large windows and one double closet. There is a potlight bulkhead that is also wallpapered, along one approx 10 foot stretch. I would need a quote based on the above info as I can't get you in before the 27th of Nov. Please advise whether: 1) you are experienced in wallpaper removal, 2) you use a steamer, and 3) you use floor protection (floor is laminate and could not get too wet for too long). Thanks!
