Hi I am interested in renovating my house fully. I have a two storey house and a basement, but i don't want to touch the basement. I have two kitchens, one on the main level and one on the second level of the house. I wish to get rid of the kitchen on the second level of the house and have one main kitchen on the main level which needs to be redone. Also, the stair case needs to be moved and a few walls need to shifted on the main level. So most of the work is on the main level, pretty much redesigning main level. I was wondering if someone can tell me what the cost of this can be and do i need permission from government as I've heard from a friend? This main entrance of the house in single door and I want a double door for future. There is more that needs to be done, but i want to know the cost of the project so far.

We need a "Hands On" professional to do our side entrance. We ideally like someone with many years of experience specifically in this area who knows exactly what needs to be done from the design, outside brick work and from the inside. The entrance seems to be above grid with couple of steps up from the outside and one step to the mid landing of the staircase to the basement. No 3rd party contractors please.
