We just moved into our new home in Waterdown and are in need of a good general contractor to do a few things around our home.
1. There is a leak on the interior wall beside the front bay window. This is causing moisture build up behind the wall. We would need someone to come open it up - find the leak and then fix it and patch as needed.
2. We have a cellar that has no exterior door/seal on it. We would like to add an exterior door to the cellar to control humidy and temperature risk before mold develops or moisture.
3. We would like to replace the rotting wood fascia around the siding on the outside of the home.
4. Optional - but would love to fix the basement windows (replace the frames as they are rusting).
And more down the road! We would prefer someone reliable and available soon for the front window and exterior door especially. Budget is already available just need the right contractor. :)
Need to join two spaces together in Waterdown to form a larger Xray and Ultrasound clinic. 1000 sg ft +1050 sq ft. demolition, drywall, move some electrical and one additional washroom. Fairly large project. Will need municipal permit including arch drawings to be done by contractor.
Planning drawings before and after are attached. Proposed is still subject to change.
Please review and provide an email response with your estimate of costs and time.
Have a open room that requires to be closed to make it a bedroom. its a open concept room right now but in order to close it needs to be framed in with a door. Estimate it needs about 16 feet of framing on existing walls and a door, along with obviously the drywall. you can see in the pic that on top of the glass wall it needs to be closed and then the front of the room a door and closed.
We have an additional coach house that needs completion. The exterior of the coach is house is completely finished and has rough internal/interior foundation.
The square footage: 1000 square feet
Age of house: new/not finished
Site conditions: residential
Details: we would like a small kitchen, laundry room, washroom, fireplace, bedrooms, closets and a main sitting area
We would appreciate a site visit with an estimate.
Thank you!

bathroom double sink vanity top needs to be replaced, sinks and faucets to be installed
Bedroom closet: need to rip out the guts, and convert to a walk in closet. Closet is adjacent to a hallway, ample space for a walk-in. would also need to install door and drywall.
Main Floor renovation: Kitchen remodel to make larger and more efficient which will require removal of existing walls; existing main floor bath needs complete overhaul and removal of shower; New floors throughout main floor;
Master Bath - Remodel. Removal and replacement of existing shower and tub and bidet and replace with new large shower, stand alone tub, new vanities etc.
Basement: New floors and new kitchen cupboards and sink and counters etc.
Hi there,
Our basement is fully renovated and finished when we moved into our house this past Feb 2020, HOWEVER the previous owners did not frame, drywall or tile the areas where the laundry appliances are located. We are looking to do these three things for a laundry space.
Please contact me to discuss further.
The space is about 200 SQFT max, that we are looking to get an estimate on.
Thanks!
-Jason
Our current laundry room is small and a bit disorganized with shoes in the way when you enter the room from the garage. We are looking for the following:
- We are looking to remove the closet (This would require the wall to be taken down, electrical plug moved, ceiling re-surfaced, light re-centered and a few floor titles replaced)
- New cabinets, new laundry sink and new kid cubbies for boots, shoes, coats and hats etc. to be installed.
- My wife is looking for a folding area and drying area for clothes.
- A fold down dry rack and a small counter space would be perfect.
FYI: Room dimensions after the wall removal will be 8 X 7.5 ft
Looking to take down load bearing wall on main floor of bungalow house. Beam is approximately 23-24 ft supporting roof only. Basement is completely open, able to see supporting wall Frame below. Beam will span from exterior wall to middle of the house. Foundation is cement block. I am the owner.
We were given a reference to Aris to ask about our Pool House plan and construction project for our home in Waterdown , ON. We have an existing pool raised patio structure on a large lot in the older part of Waterdown and are hoping to have a pool house about 16 x 8 constructed with permit on a foundation, with a slanted flat roof that hangs out over the patio. Sample pic is of the structure we like, (also two pics of existing pool) but would love to have you come to look and talk about the project for a quotation.

We are looking to at least partially finish the 1100 sq. ft. basement of our six year old home before Christmas and have a list of other household improvements that we would like taken care of in the mid-term.
Our must-haves include:
Basement lighting and electrical upgrades
Basement finished 3pc bath (roughed-in)
Paint balance of basement floor
We have a wine collection that currently requires the basement to remain cool so to accomodate the 3pc bathroom we are considering either radiant floor heating in the 3pc bath or to convert our cold storage area to wine storage (insulate, vapour barrier, heat and humidity control, framing, drywall, lighting upgrade).
We have other mid-term projects in mind that include:
Complete basement finishing.
Millwork in other areas of the house (custom shelving, window seat, crown moulding).
Install backsplash in kitchen.
Exterior millwork for our front porch.
Hardwood installation on the 2nd floor.
Renovate master bathhroom which may include relocating a gas fireplace.
Please let me know when you may be available to assess the space for an estimate.
We are in Waterdown, Ontario.
Thank you,
Karen and Paul
