Hi,
This is Alex, we have a small project that we need someone to help with,
Originally we are doing a full renovation.
But now we are looking to first build a washroom for the unit first.
The project scope will be to permitting and constructing a commercial grade washroom that meets all code requirement.
I have a prelimanary design for your reference.
I am doing the entire condo including a full gut and remodel in the bathroom and kitchen.
The big hitters before I can think about design:
- removing a wall between the storage room and linen closet to make it one room. This will also involve plumbing for a stackable washer/dryer and closing/moving one of the door ways.
- removing a half wall at the front of the kitchen that will be replaced by an island
- moving the kitchen sink to the island…this will mean concrete floor work as I’m on the ground floor. Right now the sink faces the wall…boring. I want to face out into the living room when doing dishes.
- one side of my condo faces the polar vortex in winter and I want to look into replacing the insulation in that wall with something better. I’m sure tech has improved since this was done over 20 years ago.
- I need to have an electrician review the wiring and circuits as they are suspect.
I’ll add some pics to this post soon to give context.
I'm not sure of budget yet as I need to get a few quotes to get my bearings.
Hi
We just bought a Condo in Waterloo and We are going to do some renovations. The renovations are going to include ensuite bathroom, closet renovation, replace the hardwood flooring, replace the front door, and a kitchen renovation. I would like to get a quote for some of this work. The timeline for this work will be Fall 2021/Winter 2022. I would like to decide on the contractor sooner than later. If you are interested in doing some of this work please contact me.
1028 sq ft condo in Downtown Kitchener.
Work to be done
Install Ikea cabinets in a small kitchen
Install Ikea cabinets in 2 bathrooms
paint
Install new floor (tiles in the kitchener / laminate in all the rest but bathrooms.
some minor drywall touches
Install sinks and taps in bathrooms and kitchen
Install breaker plugs in kitchen and one bathroom
Two small rooms exist, one finished , one unfinished are to be converted into one larger bedroom with a closet along one wall. This room requires a sub-floor and adequate insulation on two sides. Electrical box needs to be attractively enclosed and a new ceiling needs to be installed and a door needs to be removed and the wall rebuilt to cover in the door space. Another extension of this work will be a small refinishing of the wall outside the new bedroom . We require some ceiling lights in the new ceiling.
There are 2 separate Projects:
Ensuite Bathroom Project:
Room size is 7' x 11 1/2'
The project is:
1. Remove the jacuzzi tub and replace with a 2-sink vanity
2. Remove the shower stall and build a walk-in shower
Re-carpet Rec Room Project:
Room size is 23'x23'
This is not a large space, but would appear/feel much roomier with a redesign
Square Footage = 72.24
The house is 12 years old, bathroom fixtures are original (most are builder-quality)
Not planning to change the location of any fixtures
(ie. work with existing plumbing set-up)
Project involves:
-Remove 4 fixtures: shower stall, corner Jacuzzi tub, single sink and wooden cabinet + large attached-to-wall mirror, and toilet
-Remove ceramic floor and wall tiles
-Install walk-in glass-walled shower (prefer no sill), and possibly shower package with overhand and separate hand shower
-Redesign and install counter counter top, under-sink cabinet (prefer floating cabinet with sliding drawers), sink and possibly other cabinets/shelves in space opened up by removing corner tub
-Install new toilet
-Replace flooring, baseboards, wall coverings, paint
-Replace and install faucets, lighting, fan
-replace accessories: towel racks, toilet roll holder, mirrors, including lighted magnifying mirror on retractable arm
Please provide detailed estimate/quote including products and labour
Any chance of accomplishing this during March break?
Hi, This is what we need:
Take out existing 3x3 corner shower stall. Install electrical plug (there is wall light fixture on same wall a foot away). Put together and install a new 3x4 feet steam shower, brand is 360 Degrees that has its own acrylic base I have my own tiling guy.
Can you do this?
The house is over 100 years old but has excellent foundation. The space is somewhat limited ` 100 sq ft
Would be a no-frill standard bathroom with a toilet, small sink, and small shower
We have a basic floor plan
A plumber would be required.
May require addtional services alter to finish the rest of the basement
Need to update the main upstairs bathroom of the home which will include a new slide in tub with tile on the wall around the tub (we are currently removing the tub surround), a toilet and vanity installed and new tile flooring. Would like to have the bathroom working as soon as possible so I can move in to the home so I would like the job to start soon.
Rejuvenation of existing Master Bedroom and ensuite bathroom. No major structural work, just replacement of finishes and fixtures with the addition of a glass shower. New vanity tub and shower required. New linen storage cabinet in toilet room. Associated plumbing and electrical work required. Flooring, trim and paint.
Bedroom requires new flooring, baseboards, and paint. Existing wood-burning fireplace needs new mantel, hearth and glass doors.
It's old, it's tired and it needs to be replaced so we can sell.
Just discovered that there is moisture build up behind the tiles in the shower. Looks like the grout has been broken away which is probably the cause of it. Cocking it up would stop the moisture from getting inside but I suspect there has already been some damage done behind the tiles so the wall behind the shower will probably need to get replaced.
I would like to flip where my current basement bathroom and laundry room are. I am looking for someone to design and implement the change. Both areas have drains and water already, although it will likely need to be shifted a bit.
I want the bathroom to be a three piece bathroom. the laundry room doesn't require a sink but I would like a counter over my washer and dryer for folding.
I am the owner and I am trying to create a self contained unit in my basement to rent. Currently the tenant needs to leave their area for the bathroom. I would like the new bathroom to be an ensuite. I already have the vanity and toilet that can be moved to the new location, along with the fan, wall mirror and over the john cabinet
I like solid surface materials. I want the shower to be enclosed with glass. I want tile floors and tile walls in the shower.
The budget range is quite large. I would expect to be at the lower end of it.
Thanks
We had family living in the basement, and without us knowing, the shower developed cracks in the grout/tile and started to leak into the wall/baseboard. We'd like to rip out the shower, and replace it with something that won't have this problem again. As well, we want to ensure the ventilation fan is sufficient, or replace it.
Thanks,
Glen
Simple project. Want to replace a standard 60 inch steel tub with a shower base and sliding door. No movement of plumbing.
Current walls are a bathfitter style covering. Would like either tile or utile type surface.
Ready to go but no rush too. Budget is flexible too depending on the solution proposed.
I want to replace my corner triangular shower with a corner rounded shower to give me a little more room to wash my hair without banging my elbows! Price is a factor, I'm looking to have a shower kit type of installation with some faux tile surrounding the enclosure.
I will need the new shower, installation, possibly need the hand towel rack removed and wall fixed (if so, I'll remove the toilet paper holder too and replace them both - so the wall will need to be fixed) as well as have some kind of real or faux tile going up to the ceiling and around the outsides of the kit to frame the shower area.
Current dimensions: 76"H, 17" L, 26" W and 52" on the diagonal.
I've included two pictures of the current space and two of ideas of what I'd like it to look like when finished (one has tile around it, the other is just the shower).
I own the house and really want to replace this with something that looks good, requires low maintenance, will be long lasting and isn't too expensive.
replace bathtub with free standing - if possible, but no change of location for plumbing.
take off floor tiles (6x6") to install new tiles (in order to have tiles under the free standing tub.
take off wall tiles and install new wall tiles.
maybe: replace vanity with a different one- installation only -no need to relocate any plumbing.
We have a basement crack we will be having repaired in the near future. The crack is located behind the shower. We will be ripping out the shower and drywall for the repair. When they have finished we would require you to come in and install a corner shower kit and possibly new flooring if it's required after the repairs. We are open to evening and weekend work as well because we know it's a small job. We are hoping to build a relationship with a contractor we feel comfortable with for various small future jobs.
I'm looking to do work on 2 bathrooms in my home. This project is on the smaller side.
For one bathroom, the subfloor requires repair, as the area around the toilet has taken water damage. How much of the subfloor has been damaged is unknown. After the subfloor is repaired, I'd like laminate wood to be installed as the new flooring. The area of the floor in this bathroom measures roughly 25-30 sqft. I'd also like a new toilet installed, and for the cabinet and mirror above the sink to be removed and replaced with a mirror-cabinet.
For the other bathroom, I'd like the toilet replaced, and 2 plumbing issues to be addressed. The sink faucet leaks even when turned off (likely requires replacement) and the shower stall is installed improperly (The cold setting on the shower knob produces hot water, and vice versa).
I am the property owner. I have already purchased materials for the laminate wood flooring, the mirror-cabinet, and the two toilets.
Job is well underway and now we need a tile installer for: 1.) the floor - 7.5 ft. x 8.5 ft. and
2.) one wall that is 7.5 ft. long x 8 ft. high. We want in-floor heating. We have already purchased the tile and the in-floor heating materials. Just need someone to install the bathroom tile. Everything is ready to go.
