I am currently building a house in Welland. I am looking for hat the contractor 2 projects the contractor will not be doing.
Basement finishing:
About 1,000' of finished space ( 2 bedrooms, family room and bathroom) and semi finish space 400' (work shops, storage ).
Deck:
24x14 deck 9' high ( walkout bungalow ) with glass railing and motorized screens
Older home, built in 1922. Basement is not even remotely finished. Currently being waterproofed by ProSeal.
Concrete flooring will need to be smoothed over. Spray foam reapplied to walls. Drywall to be put up. An old toilet and sink will need to be demolished and removed. Stairs need to be redone and extended as they are too short.
Would also like the ceiling to be done, as insulation, wiring and beams are all exposed.
Depending on costs, a sub floor could also be installed.
Recently purchase our home in Welland. We are looking to finish our clean space unfinished basement. We would like to add a 3 piece washroom including tiled stand up shower (plumbing rough in). We have approximately 1,000 square feet. We require the furnace, hwt and sump pump to be one room and would like a minimum of one bedroom and rec room. Best case scenerio if we can accomodate two bedrooms and a small office area (walled or open). Bedroom(s) would have to be large enough for a queen size bed, small night stand and small closet (visitors). We would like laminate flooring and prefer drywall ceiling vs drop ceiling. Standard flush mount lighting fixtures or pot lights depending on cost.
I have a small cold storage room, under the front stone steps, that I would like converted to an insulated Pantry. It has block walls and cement ceiling and floor that need to be insulated and drywalled. I have some leftover flooring that may or may not be adequate. The light, on a pull chain, needs to be replaced and a wall light switch added. I would like to remove the existing door, so that the room is open to the Kitchen area. Not sure of shelving; but perhaps we can discuss what would work the best. I am a Senior Widow who has called several companies; but some do not show up and some do not want to be bothered with a small job. I am hoping to find someone to help with this project ASAP, as I have been trying for 2 years now, with no luck. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project.
See attached pictures. Most of all I need to understand the best location for a kitchen with minimum damage of nicely finished basement. Picture added is my best guess just because it is the closed to existing kitchen/plumbing?? but not sure. by the sump pump in that corner would be ideal if more feasible.
Hi there I need someone to come over to see my basement for Legal Basement apartment.
it has a upper level and Basement, which has separate entrance from the front. I have a plied to the city of Allen for little Permit basement, which is in process and almost done. I have floorplan from the design by the engineer.
We own an older home - 1920's, it has a shallow basement, with a very generous slope in the basement floor to the floor drain in the NE corner of the basement. I want to get rid of the sloped floor, add a sump, replace sewer line (city half just done), repair or replace stack, get rid of old chimney, get about seven ft ceiling height (or current code, whichever is higher) and add new section to the basement for a a two story addition. Current basement is about 26' by 30'. Would like to add about 15 feet to the 30 ft dimension. Will require relocating furnace from its current central location toward one of the basement walls.
